This is great. How do I get the discount on the Photoshop Photography program?
Hi Doug, it’s a special offer exclusive to ProDesignTools, so you won’t find it on the regular Adobe pages… You have to enter through this link to see that 20% discount reflected for the CC Photography bundle.
For more information and details about what you get with the package, see our guide here.
Hope that helps, and just post back if you have any further questions!
Hi,
I just tried to take advantage of the Adobe Creative Cloud subscription for photographers Black Friday sale … you stated I could get for 20% off … Adobe says it is not discounted? It is not $7.99 per month as you stated, rather, it still costs $9.99 per month.
Is there some way I can get the discounted price or is this post about the Black Friday deals in error?
Michael
Hey there Michael, thanks for your note. Everything is correct and all the deal links work – please see our previous reply, just above your comment. We’ll highlight it better in the article.
Hi,
Thanks for clarifying that … does this offer apply to current subscribers. Would I have to cancel my existing subscription and resubscribe using your link? If I did that would I have to download the software again (I have to pay for bandwidth and the download would cost me quite a bit).
Thank you,
Michael
Well, it’s the inevitable question. Whenever we post about a special discount from Adobe, folks want to know if they can use it to lower the price of something they already purchased.
In general, it’s not possible – unless you are upgrading or downgrading your existing plan. You can buy another (add-on) subscription at this lower price – one per customer – but you can’t apply a discount retroactively. The only exception would be if you bought it from Adobe within the past 14 days, then you could return it using their refund policy and go this route instead.
The reason is because stopping an Adobe annual plan in the middle normally incurs a cancellation fee, unless you are in the final month of the plan, or if you are upgrading or downgrading to a different CC plan. Here are the subscription terms for working out how much that might be.
Would it be worth it to cancel your existing CC subscription and sign up with one of these discounted offers instead? It would depend on the size of any fee (which Adobe may waive if you are upgrading or downgrading) vs. the size of the savings you get with these special plans.
In any event, changing the subscription dates, prices, or logins wouldn’t affect the actual software installed on your computer… You wouldn’t need to change or redownload or reinstall it regardless.
Thanks for your question.
Hi ProDesignTools!
I have an annual subscription and it ends on 28 November 2015. I’m currently paying $30 per month and on 28 November I will have to start paying $49. I’d like to take advantage of the discounted offer of $39 per month. Would it be safe to cancel my subscription just before 27 November and sign up for the discounted plan?
Greetings Carmia, nice to see you again! What you proposed sounds like it could work, and hopefully allow you to take advantage of the discount. Here are the instructions to cancel the membership. Please let us know how it works out for you!
When will we see a videographer’s plan?
Why should I pay double+ for Premiere to get my job done
when my colleague purchased Ps+Lr for so little
Hello George, thanks for sharing your thoughts. We encourage you to pass along any feedback you have directly to Adobe here:

While they normally don’t send personal replies, they do, however, read each and every message… and use the information to improve their products and services.
Do you have an upgrade cc package for photographers like me who have Lightroom 5 and Elements 10?
Or is Elements already included in Ps ?
Welcome, Albert. In fact, with Adobe CC now, 2½ years after its initial release, there are no longer any upgrade discounts if you’re coming from older or other software. But on the flip side, there are no longer any requirements for previous software ownership to buy the package.
Photoshop Elements is not included or bundled with the professional-level Adobe Photoshop, it’s sold separately. There are some major differences between the two product lines; see this post for a general idea about them.
I purchased the Photoshop/Lightroom package a few days ago and have not received any further feedback. I left a message yesterday asking for help… What’s going on? Can somebody help?
Rafael
Hi Rafael – sorry you’re having difficulties. You completed the payment transaction at Adobe’s site, but haven’t yet received anything afterwards? No email or confirmation page, or further guidance or instructions? Check your bulk/junk mail or spam folder to make sure nothing important wound up in there.
Normally it can a day or so for Adobe’s system to finalize your order and process your payment, so you should have received something by now. What does your credit card company say – or PayPal, if you used them? You should see the receipt for the transaction showing up there.
You may also want to contact Adobe directly (via live online chat is usually fastest/easiest) to see if they have any record of your order or payment.
In the meantime, feel free to download the free CC trials and free Adobe books, and get started right away. You’ll be able to activate the trial software without reinstalling it when you have confirmation from Adobe.
Hope that helps!
interested in getting adobe edge animate. I saw links in the past posted in june 2015 that it was being offered free for version 1.5. I downloaded from a link and installed, saw the free trial link. Do you know how much it would be monthly for just this single app? thanks for your help!
Sorry – the latest version of Edge Animate CC is not available via Adobe’s Single-App Subscription; it only comes together with all the other CC tools…
So you can either download the older Edge Animate 1.5 for free (for life), or you can get the current Edge Animate CC release (with ongoing updates included) as part of the Complete Creative Cloud.
Please disable the “notify me of follow-up comments via email”. My InBox is flooded…
Done. In every email, there is a link you can use to unsubscribe yourself, if you wish. We’ve just done that.
Hello! I am finally going to sign up for newer Photoshop under this great deal (I’m still using my CS3 suite I bought in college).
BUT was wondering if it was possible to sign up for this (the Photoshop special is through you), then also add on a single app plan? I was thinking of getting AfterEffects for a year under the 20% off thing Adobe is doing at the moment. Would I be ineligible for adding on a single app plan after buying this 20% Photoshop plan through you as I’d not be a new customer anymore’? Or does that only mean ‘new subscription sign up’ contract wise?
Basically it is a better thing to get 20% AfterEffects if I can only pick one. Thanks!
Yes Nyssa, you can get both the CC Photography Bundle plus a Single-App Subscription Plan – there is no limitation on that.
Hi
I love Adobe products.
So, this year, I’m waiting for Adobe Black Friday & Cyber Monday 2015 to have a discount for “Adobe Captivate 9′.
I am really disappointed to find nothing about “Adobe Captivate 9”.
Regards
Sorry about that Jean-Marc!

@ProDesignTools
It worked, thank you for your help!
Great to hear it Carmia, and thanks for letting us know!
I have CS5. Can I update to 5.5? If so, how? Thanks so much!
Sorry Barb, Adobe has not made or sold CS5.5 for many years now.
CS6 succeeded CS5.5. Up until September 2015, Adobe still offered CS6 from their website… However, they finally removed CS6 as it is 3½ years old and increasingly unsupported; they stopped releasing updates for it some time ago as the newer CC quickly grew and took over. With the CS6 software EOL and end of support, there are no updates, no bug fixes, and no guarantees it will run on future operating systems. So at this point we’ve stopped recommending it as a good or viable option going forward.
Any idea when the next discounted sale might be? Asking for a friend – I was lucky enough to tap in during the promo.
Good question Dan. Adobe does not put their products on sale very often anymore… Usually significant discounts happen only one time per year – and it’s when you might expect.
So our best guess on when the next major Adobe promotion might be would be Black Friday / Cyber Monday 2016, at the end of November 2016 (i.e., eight months from now).
In the meantime, the company does offer smaller sales from time-to-time that are posted here on this page:

Hope that helps!
