    • Yes, thank you, this is very good news. We were contacted yesterday evening by an Adobe Product Manager who says the company is aware of the situation and hoping to find a solution to restore direct download links and standalone installers for all tools in the new release! So we’re happy to report they are listening to customers and hearing your feedback.

It looks like there is some progress made with Photoshop, but we are still waiting for cohesiveness in how the ESD packages are handled, including providing standard installers for all the other CC applications. Another point is that for some reason the CC Desktop App won’t completely recognize when the new install is performed outside of it. So both we and Adobe are investigating and pursuing these issues further.

So you might want to hold off on using that for the moment, until Adobe learns more about why the direct link install isn’t working 100% perfectly (and fixes it)… Also to pull in all the other CC tools.

Please stay tuned to this space where we will keep you updated in the coming days, or however long it takes!

    • Yes, only Photoshop so far, and there are some caveats that Adobe is working on. But this is very encouraging and a positive start to hopefully a forthcoming complete solution!

    • Yes, Photoshop CC 2015.5 is a complete new build of the product; Photoshop 17.0 is the internal version actually.

It can coexist on the same machine as any previous release of Photoshop, or older versions can be uninstalled.

    • No, only Photoshop so far, and there are some caveats that Adobe is working on… The CC Desktop App won’t completely recognize when the new install is performed outside of it, and still shows an “Update” button for Photoshop even after the new version is installed via direct link.

We are monitoring the situation closely and hopefully we’ll see more progress on this and other applications in the coming days.

There are no other software links :(

  3. I just updated to Photoshop CC 2015.5, but I want to go back to Photoshop CC 2015.1.2 (01/20/2016). Someone sent me the link to this website. I’ve downloaded the link to the proper version that I want from here, but I’m not sure how to proceed. Do I have to completely uninstall my current Photoshop? Do I simply click on the ‘AdobePatchInstaller’ and let it do its thing? Please advise. Thank you.

    • Just be aware that with the current build of that installer, the CC Desktop App won’t recognize that Photoshop has been installed (so will still show “Update”).

Also that installer doesn’t presently support choosing an install path or language selection. It defaults to C: and the system language.

Adobe tells us they are working on these issues, as well as providing standalone installers for all the new releases of the CC apps – so stay tuned!

    • Update: Adobe says there is a workaround if you want to set a different (custom) install path and/or installation language… While these aren’t controllable directly with the standalone installer’s user interface, if the language and/or install path are set in the Preferences for the CC Desktop app, then the standalone installers should conform to those settings.

Still awaiting word on the availability of further offline installers for the new releases in addition to Photoshop.

  4. Hi guys, i read about the updates, you say they are cumulative – but we see Animate, for example, .1 is 800mb+ and .1.1 is 300mb+. It’s impossible that these are cumulative, no?

    If i get every update and install them one-by-one, in the order (0 > .1 > .1.1 > 2 > 2.1…) then i’ll lose time, or it’s really better?

    • Yep, Adobe Animate is a single anomaly to the rule.

Animate CC 2015.1 was a complete new build of the program, because it was the transition from Flash Pro to Animate in February – and first official (base) release of Animate.

So consequently, it is much bigger than all the other normal patches… But the update order is still cumulative by date – it’s just that you need the base release of Animate installed first before adding any further updates on top.

  5. Hi,

I have extracted the files (downloaded Muse 2015.1.2) and didn’t know what to run, so went for setup.exe

    I got the following:

    Adobe Installer
Installer failed to intialize, this could be because of a missing file. Please download SupportAdvisor to detect the problem.

    Any ideas?

  6. Hi All,

Adobe has released a new version of Adobe Bridge (CC 2015) on 19 July 2016. This update is available via Adobe Creative Cloud application.
Please try the new release and check for issues you have encountered.

If you are not able to locate the Bridge (CC 2015) on Creative Cloud application, you will need to update the Creative Cloud application and restart your computer.

    Thanks
    Deepak Gupta
