  1. This is unfortunate… I use the DD Links for updates on my work computer, as the CC Desktop App doesn’t work correctly on my system. When I go to the “Apps” list and click “Update” on the program I want to update, it just sits a “0%” indefinitely and never installs. Tried to fix/resolve this several times with no luck. Even full reinstall of CC Desktop didn’t help. Direct Download Links are necessary, even more necessary when you have such a horrible execution as the CC Desktop App.

Oh yeah………… i have put this page on my favourites and WAIT for offline/standalone installer……

For the moment i continue to use the “old” 2015 16.1.2, it’s better than nothing.

Ah… when this installer has been released do you think it’s possible to install over my past version ? Or do you suggest also to uninstall before the old and reinstall this newest ?

Otherwise i don’t use the Creative Cloud Desktop service….. i think after i can uninstall by the official uninstall tools, and can continue to use the Adobe Application Manager for obtain future upgrades……

    • Adobe’s standalone installers do not overwrite previous installations of the tools… You install and uninstall the versions separately, and you can keep different releases on the same computer if you like – they can coexist without interference, or you can remove older versions; it’s your choice.

  3. Besides the official Photoshop 2015.5 offline installer, a quick search for ‘Illustrator Offline Installer’ yielded the Illustrator 2015.3 file floating around on the internet (with the name Illustrator_20_LS12.exe).

This file is digitally signed by Adobe (on June 28, 2016), confirming that they are indeed working on it.

    • Thanks Samuel, but we caution you absolutely DO NOT use any download that did not come either directly from Adobe or via our site. There are already hacks of the new releases floating around that you should definitely avoid.

We guarantee you that Adobe has NOT yet released any standalone installer for Illustrator CC 2015.3 (version 20)… As soon as they do, we will have it here.

  4. We’ve been getting error messages (“unable to reach Adobe servers”) on downloads via Creative Cloud. When contacting Adobe support via chat, they took over the screen to surf to prodesigntools.com to download packages. With the .5 version we still run into the same problem. Guess Adobe won’t be able to help out now.

    • Here is the latest from the Adobe Product Manager who is working on this:

I had a meeting with support leadership and the installer team. The plan is to post the ESDs for more products but I don’t have an ETA. Next week is a company-wide shutdown in the US – but hopefully the international team & support can get them posted.

Will stay on top of it.

  5. Stupid Adobe. My CC updates thru the creative cloud fail half the time and in order to try again you have to download the whole thing again and wait for it to fail. And figuring out why is almost impossible. I currently can’t upgrade to Photoshop 2015.5 because I get failures and can’t download the package outside the CC.

  6. I’ve just download Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Media Encoder and Lightroom for the first time. First three installed ok, but Lightroom stalled at 90%. It still seems to have installed and opens, but now there is an update that keeps failing.

  7. I run a shop in the central Philippines where internet is slow and flaky, and data is expensive. It stops working when it rains hard. My solution has been to just not upgrade. I still do most work in CS6. I don’t fully understand how CC will affect me so I chose to stop at the last “good” version of the tools.

  8. I pay for CC faithfully every month and like the software – but until direct download links are made available for the newest versions, I will be stuck and cannot upgrade or move forward.

Adobe should realize that they will lose a lot of customers if they don’t get this right, and soon!

I investigated your claims, and there is indeed an EXE purporting to be Illustrator 20 with the filename you’ve given floating in the ether. The description given states, quote:
    “DingKing Guarantee
+ Original Digital signatures in place on installer”.

I didn’t download the offending “home-made” release, however I’m fairly confident that digital signature may appear to be genuine but is actually fake. So I cannot stress enough the dangers of downloading potential malware. The advice given by the admin of ProDesignTools must be heeded. It may well be tempting to download, but resisting a temptation to evil will serve you and your PC far better (and yes, make no mistake about it, for piracy is indeed evil).

    • Thanks. It looks to us what happened is a hacker pieced together the different parts from the revised download paradigm the CC Desktop manager is using – and then slapped them together into a standard installer package, together with who knows what else…

As stressed above, that definitely did not come from Adobe, is not genuine, and should not be used.

    • Thanks, yes – it’s only Photoshop so far, and there are some caveats that Adobe is working on. We are still waiting for cohesiveness in how the ESD packages are handled, including providing standard installers for all the other CC applications.

Another point is that for some reason the CC Desktop App won’t completely recognize when the new install is performed outside of it. So both we and Adobe are investigating and pursuing these issues further.

So you might want to hold off on using that for now, until Adobe gets the standalone installers working 100% perfectly… Also to pull in all the other CC tools.

If you do decide to use that installer, note that it will install to the disk location and program language that are set in the Preferences of your CC Desktop app (with reasonable defaults).

as prodesign suggests, stay away from the hacks.
but this hack version is exactly the sort of thing to happen if adobe keeps the trials hidden.
    don’t doubt it.
there will be complete set hacks. by suspicious hackers and by slightly more trusted hackers.
    every variation.
    Master Collections are coming back!
just kidding. but adobe, you know i’m kind of not..

  11. @bob @John Adobe @ProDesignTools Thank you for the warning! I hadn’t realised the installer could be rigged and thankfully, haven’t downloaded it (didn’t plan to anyway unless it was from this site). I will definitely be steering clear of such unofficial installers.

It was surprising to see it floating around though. I hope Adobe releases them soon so that hackers do not take advantage of this situation and people fall into such traps.

Good to hear that CC App settings are respected by standalone installer, but what if I want to install PS on a notebook on-location without internet connection and without CC App installed?

We really need options for selecting installation path and language in the standalone installer.

    Reply
    • Yes, it definitely would be best/better to have these attributes specifiable in the offline installer itself, so the workaround is not perfectly ideal – but this may be the path forward for now.

At this time, in the situation you posed, you would need to copy and install the CC Desktop App onto your notebook machine first (the direct links are available for that), set the Preferences per your needs, and then install the tools themselves.

  13. The offline installers for Windows and PC’s are available on a “certain forum.”
    All verified and work 100%.
All that needs to be done is get the cookie and then the downloads will work.

Unfortunately I cannot post the forum link here but I can verify all offline installers work.

Should be available for public consumption soon.

    • Again, we strongly caution readers to avoid installing inauthentic Adobe software on their computers, or downloading from anywhere besides directly from the company itself.

We guarantee that what Mo references are not genuine and not coming from the correct source. Adobe expressly forbids any unauthorized third party from copying and offering or hosting any components of its software.

What is frustrating is that hackers seem to have been able to work faster than the company itself in taking what was released last week and putting together offline installers, albeit illegal ones. This goes to the points that Bob and Samuel made above that Adobe really needs to get this taken care of sooner rather than later – and make available all the standard installer packages, legitimate and fully downloadable via direct links, as has been the accepted custom and highly-valued practice since, well, forever.

  14. Thank you, you’re our hero ProDesign !

Adobe should thank their lucky stars they have people like you out there who are advocating for customers every day.

  15. I’m very disappointing at the recent Adobe delivery of the update version, as lately it frequently failed to update to Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2015.3 & After Effects CC 2015.3 – all downloads failed at progress 4%. I have contacted the Adobe customer service through live chat however the problem is still not solved yet.

For the update for the previous version 2015 (ver.9), all updates had success; only for the new version 2015.3 it has failed with errors (corrupted). It makes me filled with frustrated as I have been a loyal customer since CS6.

Can anyone help me to solve it?

    Tks & B/regards,

    • Thanks, yes, Adobe has so far posted some direct download links for Photoshop CC 2015.5 standalone installers – however they have cautioned us about using them because for some reason the CC Desktop App does not completely recognize when that new install is performed outside of it.

So you might want to hold off on using that for the moment, until Adobe learns more about why the direct link install isn’t working 100% perfectly (and fixes it)… Also to provide standard installers for all the other CC applications, which they are working on.

  16. I need DD links back because the Creative cloud app has no resume function…and i have really slow internet connection. So it takes really long time to download any single large file.

  17. I’m stuck on this issue! I recently had to restore my computer at work and the internet there is very limited. It’s been 2 days now trying to download the apps and it’s not producing anything, the only solution I found was to download an older version at home using direct links, but some of my files were created on the newer version of the apps and it’s not compatible.

No wonder why people decide go hack your stuff, I pay the membership in Brazil and have no support right now!
    Thx Adobe.

  18. I want ADOBE to have direct links for download because we have many PC’s to install and each PC must install all the software of adobe. if we only have the cc download method, then it is not good for us (takes too much time for download).

Same thing happened when I did the web chat with adobe support. They actually use prodesigntools as a workaround. Super funny. I never can get the cloud updater to work consistently on all workstations in our office. I hope this inconveniences them as much as it does for us, that will help them to better understand they are shooting themselves in the foot.
