  1. I can’t install flash player (OS X 10.6.8) without being asked to pay for creative cloud. What gives? My daughter’s wedding planning is very curtailed.

  2. I personally don’t like the idea of cloud computing. Considering all the safety nets we attempt to put in place regarding intellectual property, I am dismayed to learn how difficult Adobe is making it to hold on to a persons own creative work, working on their own computer and not in the ether. What guarantees can you make that my artwork is not being viewed or manipulated by anyone else? Why should I have to have CC to view work from my colleagues when we both have paid for essentially the same adobe products? Your technique reminds me of a particular political structure….dictatorship.

  3. Hey, recently did some upgrades to my rig (graphics cards) and installed a windows driver update only to find that upon a restart my creative cloud applications won’t launch. ex. “adobe _____ was unable to identify the issue” after trying to launch any application. Can’t find anything online about similar issues, and have tried all the basic procedures I can think of (restarts, reinstalls, etc). Any ideas?

  4. Hello! This may have been asked already so please forgive me if it has. But I just recently got a new laptop (mac yay!) and I was wondering if I would be able to transfer my photoshop and lightroom onto that new laptop? Would I have to uninstall it on the old one and then reinstall on this one? Or how does that work?

    thank you.

  5. Hi, I have a question, I understand that with the individual membership you can download the apps in two different computers. Where I work we have a CC team membership, can I as well install the apps in both my workplace computer and my computer at home?

    Thanks

  6. I have had a membership for Creative Cloud for the last year and I am thinking of starting a degree course for BA (Hons) Visual Communications soon and want to know if I can change my account to student as I need all of the software for my studies.

    Kind regards
    Rita

    • Yes Rita, normally that’s no problem – you should be able to change your CC account to a Student version, so long as you are now eligible for Adobe’s education discount!

The easiest/fastest thing to do is visit your Manage Account page online and see if you can change the type of your Creative Cloud plan there (click on “Manage plan” to convert, upgrade, or downgrade your subscription).

If that doesn’t work for you or you don’t see the option you need, then just contact Customer Support for further assistance.

Best of luck with your new degree!

  7. I’m looking to get a macbook laptop for work but everyone in the office is PC based. I’m just wondering if I work off a mac how different files will be from opening on different platforms.

    • Hello Corrie, it shouldn’t be an issue. For the most part Adobe’s project and data files (including for Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc) are sensibly cross-platform and interchangeable, with a few caveats depending on the application… But generally speaking you should be okay to move your saved files back and forth between different operating systems.

  8. I am thinking about getting a cloud plan for photoshop so I would just be getting the 9$ plan, but I am getting a new computer pretty soon – so if I download photoshop on this computer, soon to be old and tossed, can I download it again on my up and coming new computer?

I am using a Home wireless network on a desktop PC to far away from the Route to connect via a wire and haven’t got another wireless network close. I don’t seem to have any network conflicts or problems. Please Help as this ios driving me insane

  10. Hi, I have been using Indesign with Links folders and I cannot see how to use them on Indesign Cloud. Do I now have to copy and share all my links folders onto the Adobe Cloud Library to update and edit links?

If so, I assume I will have two different versions when I start editing my links. I don’t want original artwork in two places as they will soon become different versions of each other (and I would have to remember to update previous files).

Also, how safe are my links on the Cloud?

  11. Hi at the moment I am using the Creative Cloud photography plan. Photoshop and Lightroom are the main two applications I use. however, I would like to add Illustrator to my app list. Is there a possible route to do this? I do not require the full list of apps.

  12. I just downloaded the PS and Lr onto my new macbook. Why does it run on a trial version?

Im running in an iMac and I have a subscription for 1 year. I downloaded the same apps in my laptop so I can work even when I’m outside the house. Do I have to buy it again? Please help.

    • Hi Khaled, you can do it in two (smaller) plans.

The first is the CC Photography Plan, which includes the latest versions of Photoshop CC and Lightroom CC for $9.99/month.

The second is a Single-App Subscription for After Effects CC, which is $19.99/month.

So the total (quoted in US currency) would be $29.98 a month, with ongoing upgrades included at no extra cost.

Together with that, you’ll also receive additional premium services like Typekit fonts, Market Assets, 20GB online storage, and an Adobe Portfolio website.

    • Not sure what happened to your drive icon Eileen, but the Adobe software definitely didn’t touch that.

To remove any program, just use your operating system’s standard uninstall function either on Windows or Mac OS.

  13. I have 2 different clients with two different creative cloud logins and passwords. How can I toggle between the two accounts on my MacBook Pro laptop?

  14. I just installed Creative Cloud, one of the reasons I did so was that I heard that I could create a Portfolio site. I cannot see how to do that, however.

  15. I have a Creative Cloud subscription. I updated the Adobe Premiere Pro application. It now says “start trial” on the button. Clicking this says I started my 7-day trial and wants me to Buy Now. Why do I have to buy now if it is already part of the subscription I purchased?

  16. I am considering Creative Cloud for Teams for my company. I’ve been researching for weeks now and can not find the solution to having 3 seats with just 1 app and 1 seat with 2 or 3 apps. do I have to purchase the ALL Apps for the 1 seat or is there another option. If there is another option could you tell me how much I would be looking at for the 1 seat with 2 or 3 apps? Also, what is my benefit to have all four on a team, instead of 3 on a single app and 1 on multi-app? I appreciate the time.

  17. Why do my files go off line having saved them to an empty new external hard drive?
    They are not moved.
All is well when saved. Then when I open them, they are all offline?

    • Not sure Michael. Which product and version are you referring to? Although, it sounds more like something with your system or drive configuration than with any Adobe tool, as the software simply depends on the underlying file/operating system for those services and behaviors.

  18. My office is currently running CC, but we have it for illustrator. We no longer have a need for it. Can we change the software to photoshop? I am not sure if we are under contract or not.
