  1. Hello , just downloaded Adobe Photoshop but when i try to extract it, i get a problem – it only extracts the half file from 7zip. the error msg:

  2. Hi, i installed CS6 Master Collection and at 93% it asked me to close open applications, so i did, but I can’t find the “SafariNotify”. So i just cancel the installation but i was able to install most of the CS6 collections. How can i close the SafariNotification”? I can’t find it. Will it affect the installed programs because installation wasn’t 100% completed? Thanks.

  3. I have tried to download the CS6 Master Suite, but the download never goes beyond 2gb. I have tried both with a wifi connection and hardwired into the router. I don’t receive any errors as indicated, the download simply stops. Any other solutions? I checked the discussion referenced in the previous comment and it didn’t help either. Thank you

    • Hmm, not sure Jarred – perhaps try another computer, browser, or a different Internet connection if you can? There’s no issue or problem on our end, and nobody else has reported any problems either.

Normally, all you have to do is follow the download instructions (required by Adobe) that are given in the article above, near the top of this page.

Then if you have any difficulties, try a different web browser, system, or net connection…

We also put together a list of download tips, which hopefully can help if you have any further issues.

  4. Hello! I hope you can help me.. I having trouble trying to download the programs… I get this message when I click on the link, can you tell me why?? Thanks!!

    Access Denied
You don’t have permission to access “…/AdobeProducts/STAM/CS6/osx10/MasterCollection_CS6_LS16.dmg” on this server.

    • Yes Anaeish, you just need to carefully follow the download directions included in the article, just above the table of links… See the previous comment.

If you don’t do that, then the CS6 links won’t work and instead you’ll get that exact message or similar.

  5. How do I download the free trial? Can you please give me the steps I need to get it? I don’t want to accidently purchase the full version.

    • Hi, just follow the download directions in the post above. By default with all Adobe software, it’s always the free trial that you download and install…

You only pay when you click “buy” and enter your credit card number. Until that point you have up to 30 days of the full product(s) running on your computer at no charge.

  6. Hi, I just downloaded CS6 InDesign and Illustrator trials. Could you please tell me how long the trials last? Did not see that information anywhere. Thanks! Krista

I got it to work. I didn’t manually extract it myself. I ran the executable file (File 1) with File 1 and File 2 in the same folder, and it automatically did it itself.

  8. For the Master collection, both files are named the same thus adding (1) to the filename and when I try to run the exe file it says it won’t run if both parts are not downloaded. Any suggestions about changing the name?

  9. Thanks for the reply!

Windows actually changed the 7zip to .txt; before saving I changed it to .exe but since File #1 was already named the same, it defaulted to filename(1).exe.

When I try to run file #1 it says there is a portion missing. Yes, it is in the same folder in the same drive.

I am missing something and can’t see what it is.

    Cheers,
    DL

    • Hey Daniel, there can’t be any “(1)”‘s in the name, or any other renaming except the extensions…

The first file has the have a .exe extension, and the second one a “.7z” extension, that’s all.

Delete them and try again from the top, if needed.

  10. Hi there, I tried to download the Adobe Premiere files, (I downloaded both 1 and 2 from the ‘English Windows’ column) and have placed them both in the same folder however once both were downloaded and I opened up the installer I get the error stating “The file archive of Adobe Premiere CS6 is missing…”

I checked the help on Adobe and it stated to download both the .7z and .exe file need to be downloaded but there was no .7z file included in this webpage download. I then compressed the .exe file into a .7z to see if that would make a difference but no luck!

Please if anyone could help me out that would be great! Many Thanks :)

    • Welcome Sarah, glad to help. On Windows you need two separate files (in the same folder) – File 1 is an .exe file, and File 2 is a .7z file. Anything else won’t work.

  11. This is the most complicated and error-prone installation process I have ever seen. Would Adobe not simplify the process and save its poor users time?

    Reply
    • Well, it’s not quite as bad as all that… However you do have a point – we’ve never understood why Adobe split the file downloads into two parts for Windows. Most software providers have a single .EXE or .MSI file and that’s it, which makes it easier. And even for some products (like Flash Pro CS6 and Dreamweaver CS6), that’s what Adobe does – just one single large .EXE installer file for the product.

But having the additional required .7Z files for most of the rest of the tools is definitely not typical, and makes things more complicated and error-prone, as you noted. Sorry about that, we have no choice in the matter, and just have to carefully follow the instructions. Thanks for your feedback.

  12. I have wasted hours and hours trying to download the trial of cs6. I followed all of the directions. When I click the exe file – it says the installer is not running. I have the adobe download assistant open. Is that what they mean?

I don’t see the installer (can’t remember the name – akamai or something like that). I’m not a computer moron but the steps to do this are ridiculous. And meanwhile I have erroneously downloaded many other unnecessary and probably harmful programs that just pop up while I am trying to do this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I tried the direct download and that was a fail as well. Thanks so much. Sorry for the rant.

    • Greetings Alisa, you don’t need the Adobe Download Assistant or Akamai Download Manager or any of that… They are not harmful programs, but they are also not necessary.

If you carefully follow the download instructions above, then you won’t get them. The CS6 direct links here allow you to download the Adobe tools with no manager or assistant.

Also, if you are getting any sort of error then feel free to post the exact text here (or enter it into the search box at the upper right of this page) and you’ll get a fast answer.

  13. ok, now I tried firefox. When trying to open, I got the error: “a problem occurred while extracting the archive. Please try downloading the Adobe Photoshop Cs6 again.”

I guess I didn’t understand that you don’t need the downloader. I will try it that way. Sorry, but the instructions are extremely confusing. Especially when it says to click here for instructions to open and then it mentions the installer.

  14. ok, I got much closer not downloading the downloader. I was so excited – the exe file said it was extracting and finished – then nothing, so I clicked the other files and was told I need the 64 bit version.

    • Check on your computer’s Desktop – that’s where a new Adobe folder is extracted to.

Here are some guidelines to help you along in the process:

      1. These files are large, download them using a fast and reliable connection only. Use wired rather than wireless if possible.

      2. Use a good browser like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or your own download manager. Sometimes IE can drop the file extensions.

      3. Carefully follow the download instructions given in the article.

      4. On Windows, make sure both File 1 (.exe) and File 2 (.7z) are in the same place, if there are two files. If your two files don’t have those extensions, then rename them back.

      5. Make sure the files are in a simple folder (not a long or complicated path) on the same disk where you want to install the software to, and not on a separate drive.

      6. Run (double-click) the .exe file (or .dmg on Mac) to extract the contents.

      7. That will create a new Adobe folder, typically put on your Desktop.

      8. Go to that directory, where there should be a Setup.exe file.

      9. Just run the Set-up file there and that will install the software onto your system.

      10. If any problems, see this earlier list of download tips.

Hope that does the trick for you.

  15. I’m trying to download a free trial of CS6 for a class and it’s telling me my server isn’t allowing the download. What do I do? Help!

    • Hey Amanda, be sure to very carefully follow the download directions near the top of this page, otherwise you’ll get that message…

Also see the previous comments, just above yours.

    • Sure Amanda, just enter the exact error message you received into the Search box in the upper right corner of any page on our site, and you’ll no doubt find the answer from an earlier visitor with the same question…

Or, post the exact text here if that doesn’t help you out.

  16. Hello, I tried to download the free trial but a warning came up from the official site that said it wasn’t a reliable source and it was piracy etc.
Is there still a way I can download the trial ?

    Reply
    • Hi, not sure what warning you got or from where, but it is absolutely incorrect…

All of these direct downloads come from Adobe’s servers – they are the original, safe, and authentic CS6 releases.

What’s more, it is definitely not piracy because these are the official free trial versions, which can also be activated permanently with your valid purchased serial number.

Finally, we have been Adobe partners for many years and have been a trusted source for direct download links for all of their major products over that time.

      Hope that helps clarify.
