Hmm, I understand that the notification is incorrect, but it still won’t let my download the trial version …
The exact words it says when I click on the start-up file on my computer is:
Installation Failed
Adobe Genuine Verification Failure
The product you are trying to install is not an Adobe Genuine Software and appears to be counterfeit.
Please report piracy or contact customer support for assistance
Oh, that. It’s an old problem, but a very simple one. You have outdated software on your computer, because Adobe made a change to their certificates… It’s no fault of yours and nothing you did, but the solution is simple:
Adobe Community Help: “Adobe Genuine Software Validation Failure…”
I tried downloading the trial of Photoshop CS6. It downloads to my bar, I click on it, I select run, I click next when it tells me the file location, and then an error box pops up saying “a problem occurred while extracting the archive. please try to download again.”
So I followed the definition of insanity, and did the same thing over and over again for like 10 minutes, and got the same results. I then tried to do it in another browser (I was using Chrome, and switched to Firefox). Same thing.
I have logged in to my Adobe account, I have downloaded the program that the instructions say above. I have closed my browsers and opened them again, and even restarted my computer. What am I doing wrong? What can I do?
Hi Heather, from what you say it sounds like you are carefully following the download instructions on this page before clicking the direct links, plus you tried different browsers, so that’s a good start…
So to help get around that message you’re receiving, see these previous comments from Alisa.
do these links still work?
I know you can no longer get the trial but I’m in the same situation as most others, mine was downloaded, then upgraded from trial to full. …… but a refresh killed it.
How can I download a trial to put the number i was sent?
Yes Tia, they definitely all still work! These original CS6 direct download links continue to be active, and you can still buy the software direct from Adobe.
You have to make sure you are carefully following the download directions (required by Adobe) that are given in the article above, near the top of this page.
Then if you have any difficulties, try a different web browser, computer, or Internet connection… Avoid Wi-Fi where possible, as it can be slower and less reliable.
I forgot to mention, I tried to download the links for creative suite last night and file 1 downloaded successfully but file 2 failed.
but this morning when i try to download file 2 again it is saying access denied although I’m signed in at Adobe?
Well, it’s not enough to be signed in, you also have to follow the directions mentioned in the previous comment… Check this list of download tips if you are stuck.
Thank you, i’m just too impatient for my own good.
I’m going back over your instructions right now!
Thanks again
When I try to download, it says “Failed: Server Problem”
How do I fix that?
Not sure Kate, we’ve never heard of that one before… Is that the entire message? Adobe’s site turns up nothing on it.
Does it still happen? Did you try a different browser, computer, or Internet connection?
I have a new laptop and want to download my cs5 onto it, however I do not have a cd drive on this computer. How do I move it to this computer?
Hey Jason, if you don’t have a CD/DVD or disc drive for older programs then you can download via the Creative Suite direct links: CS5.5, CS5, CS4 & CS3.
You can also move any Adobe software between two systems.
I keep getting the message:
“Access Denied
You don’t have permission to access “…/AdobeProducts/STAM/CS6/win32/MasterCollection_CS6_LS16.exe” on this server.”
Are you sure these download links still work? I have tried on multiple internet connections and all of the major internet browsers.
Yes Bob, all of these CS6 direct links definitely, absolutely, positively still work. Have you carefully followed the download directions?
Adobe premiere pro, whether it can be for linux (ubuntu)?
No Zakki, it’s not supported natively on Linux… Here are the complete official CS6 System Requirements.
hi everyone, I just downloaded flash pro for the 4th time and i’m getting the file saved as (file type: file, description: adobe extractor) and I don’t know what to do ???
FYI I have downloaded the file in a folder like the instructions says, I have already got the Photoshop cs6 some time ago from this web and it works perfectly. using Windows 8.1 on i5 processor
thx in advance.
Sorry you’re having difficulties Usman – what is the exact message you’re getting? Did you google that, or take a look at our list of download tips?
basically, its successfully downloaded into the new folder I created, but when I double click it (to open) message comes up saying open with. I looked at the file properties and is says it is a .file
I found the problem, it was the file extension thing (don’t know what its called). I renamed it to “name”.exe and then it opened up the installer. anyways thanks a lot for trying to help.
Ah, sometimes that can happen where your browser (especially IE) can drop the file extension(s) when downloading… In that case, your computer might not know how to open it, or might think it’s a text file.
If that happens, you would need to rename the file(s) to add them back. Typically on Windows, File 1 is a .exe and File 2 (if present) has a .7z extension. But sounds like you figured that out and got it done, glad to hear it.
I am trying to download the trial version of Photoshop CS6. File 1 downloaded as expected, but File 2 downloaded as a text document (twice). Before downloading I chose “Save link as…” per the instructions so I could select where to save it. That’s when it indicated it would download as a .txt doc. Obviously, this is not what is supposed to be happening. Now what?
Hi Janice, please see previous comment just above yours.
Yup, I tried that already and it didn’t work. BUT, I tried just straight downloading it (not saving it to a specific file location). It downloaded as the 7z (or whatever it is). Then I tracked it down on my computer, copied and pasted it into the folder I wanted. Then I had to figure out how to install/configure/etc., which was not as intuitive a process as I would have liked, but I got it done. I’m sure there was a one-click solution but alas, I’m just not a one-click wonder! :)
That’s good to hear Janice – normally the .exe (File 1 on Windows) will take care of all that for you, but glad to hear you got it sorted out – and thanks for letting us know!
Hi the indesign cs6 is not working!! I already downloaded it before and today it stopped working, and said i have to license the software. i downloaded it again today, and i installed it and chose trial, and it says i have to license it. please help!!!!!!
Hello Joyce, what message are you getting exactly? If there are any issues with your license, we can’t really help much with that – you’d have to contact Adobe directly.
If you don’t yet have a license and want the free trial, try Adobe CC instead… You should be able to get a 60 days of free use out of it.
Hi, this is great.
Do you also have any free tutorials or videos or good books for learning Creative Suite 6.
Thanks in advance.

I am trying to download the trial versions, and I continue to get this message when clicking on the link.
Access Denied
You don’t have permission to access “…/AdobeProducts/PHSP/13/win32/Photoshop_13_LS16.exe” on this server.

I need to be able to download CS6 but I am getting that message?
Greetings Abby, please follow the download instructions given in the article above, near the top of this page – or instead you will get that exact message, and the CS6 direct links won’t work.
WHERE CAN I FIND Encore CS6????
Good question Timothy… Encore CS6 is part of Premiere Pro CS6, and included in the Premiere download here (above).
You can also use Encore CS6 together with the newer CC release.
Hi, your link “Click «HERE» to visit this page first”, links to a page where you can download Adobe Acrobat. There’s no place on that page where I can enter my login details. If I go the the Adobe site and log in from there, your page don’t see me as being logged in. So I get the message “Access Denied”.
@ProDesignTools
I tried downloading premiere pro cs6 from this site, but it says Access Denied.
I followed all the steps.logged in. cancelled the download. closed the window that popped up, and everything but still nothing.
Please help me. What am I doing wrong?
Hey, I really don’t think these are working. Following the directions doesn’t change anything, so please don’t just suggest that. I’m not convinced that the setting of cookies using another download is working. You don’t even need to be signed in to download the Acrobat trial installer?? I’ve tried using other trials to set the cookies, and nothing works. It just shows the “access denied.”
I have tried multiple browsers, accounts and internet connections. Any yes, I am absolutely following the instructions. They are not complicated, but I think Adobe changed something and they aren’t working.
When i try to download flash cs6, it says access denied, and i already followed the instructions and i clicked the link in step 1. But when i was in that link it didn’t ask about my account.
Not working for me, I have used this countless times and never have a problem, but it seems to me they changed the acrobat trial page so it just starts downloading the installer and probably asks you to log in to the “downloader” tool or something. It’s no longer prompting me to log into the website.
Hi everyone, Adobe made a rare change on their site this morning that broke the download instructions and the direct links here, but happy to report that everything is now working again.
Just refresh this page (via Ctrl+R on Windows or Cmd+R on Mac), and then follow the download instructions again from the top – and you should have no further problem.
(What happened we were using the Acrobat free trial in Step 1 to set Adobe’s session cookie on your browser, which enables you to access all the direct links here. However, they suddenly moved that trial page off of Adobe.com and on to Acrobat.com instead, so it no longer activated the required cookie. To fix that, we changed the “click «HERE» first” page to be the Elements free trial instead, which still resides on Adobe.com.)
Sorry about that, but a happy ending: rest assured that you can still use these DDL successfully!
I downloaded Design Standard CS6, but when I opened the 7zip file (with PeaZip) it was empty. What’s going on?
