    • That’s great the links are helping out – really good to hear, and thanks for the feedback…

We also had a request for the direct download links for Elements 8 – so here they are… Please be sure to follow the same instructions above before you click and download, or the links will not work:

      Photoshop Elements 8 – Windows (1.1 GB):   File 1   File 2
English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, Japanese, Chinese

      Photoshop Elements 8 – Mac (1.2 GB):   File 1
      English, French, German, Japanese

      Premiere Elements 8 – Windows (1.2 GB):   File 1   File 2
English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, Japanese, Chinese

Premiere Elements 8 – Additional content:   File 1   File 2

Any other Adobe products you’re interested in? We can post more if needed.

  1. Paid for CS5 and trying to download from different computer – neither the Akamai Download Manager, which stops at around 86% all the time, nor the direct download, which never starts, seem to work !!

    Please help.

    • Hi Martin, sorry you’re having continued challenges… Large file downloads can sometimes be tricky, but please be assured the downloads are real and do work with hundreds of people using them every day, although of course each person’s system and configuration is different.

Here are several steps to try if you’re having trouble:

      1. Number one is to review the detailed instructions above and make sure you’re following them carefully – hopefully you are.

      2. Adobe recommends you temporarily turn off any surfing restrictions you might have set up on your computer, e.g., pop-up and site blockers, hosts exclusions, firewalls or antivirus software (esp. Kaspersky), etc.; and allow third-party cookies.

      3. Try a different browser, or computer, or network connection, or location – each time going back to step #1. Use a wired connection if you can, rather than wireless/wifi.

      4. Sometimes the status within your Adobe account can get crossed up. Try logging out of Adobe.com, clearing all adobe cookies on your browser, clear the browser cache too (and/or use a different browser or machine), then restarting and logging in again with the instructions above. If still no luck, repeat that but create a brand new Adobe account/ID for yourself first.

      5. Consider installing a good download manager of your own, to try to better manage the size. You’ll find a good selection here, or as a Firefox browser add-on here. Or if you’re already using one and it doesn’t work, try it without.

      6. See our popular troubleshooting article for CS5 downloads and installation. If the techniques listed there don’t help, the VP of Engineering for the Creative Suite is monitoring the comments section there to ask questions, provide feedback, and work through any problems.

      7. You didn’t say which product you purchased, but some of these CS5 downloads are simply quite large – so if all else fails and it’s seeming too difficult to download from the DDLs, just request the CD/DVD instead and it will be delivered to your home or business in short order.

      8. Or if you haven’t purchased yet but prefer to try before you buy, you can still get a trial DVD set shipped to you, for just $10-$15… This can serve as your backup media if you decide to purchase the product, or you can still get the full product box delivered to you later per #7.

      9. If all else fails, just give it some time and come back to it tomorrow… If you had a stopped or failed download, you might get the feeling of being “locked out.” But patience usually wins the game for some issues with Adobe’s servers – they just clear themselves up on their own, oddly enough.

Hope this step-by-step helps! Thank you for your input.

  2. Does the CS5 trial not include Adobe Acrobat? I just downloaded Master Collection but couldn’t find it, it doesn’t seem to be installed. Thx.

  3. I still couldn’t get the Master Collection Mac to work. Just downloads a faulty 80k DMG. However Downloading individual apps seems to be working. Keeping fingers crossed. Only wanted to test Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Premier and Aftereffects anyway.

  4. Hi JRR, sorry to hear that as we have plenty of folks downloading CS5 Master Collection on both Mac and PC… The suites are pretty large though, and filesize can occasionally be a challenge. We did just test that link and it seems to be working on our end.

Have you tried a different browser, computer, and/or net connection, or the other suggestions in the comment above? Hope those help you out.

  5. How about links to directly download Adobe Lightroom 3, if you can get them yet ?

It just came out and is using the Akami installer too.

    Reply
    • Yes, a great and timely question, as we’ve already had multiple visitors from search engines looking for these…

So here are the direct download links for Lightroom 3 – very simple, just one single file for each platform that covers all languages (with both 32-bit and 64-bit versions inside for Windows)…

Please be sure to follow the same instructions above before you click and download, or the links will not work:

      Adobe Lightroom 3 – Windows (237 MB):   File 1
English, French, German, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Swedish, Korean, Japanese, Chinese

      Adobe Lightroom 3 – Mac (112 MB):   File 1
English, French, German, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Swedish, Korean, Japanese, Chinese

    • Hi Jen, it sounds like there’s something blocking your browser’s free access to the download files – be it a firewall, or antivirus software, or a site/hosts restriction, or cookies turned off, or a network difficulty…

Try following the list of 8 suggestions in the discussion above and that usually does the trick.

  6. Thanks! your download link is working! the adobe downloader would not download. It just kept saying waiting, waiting, waiting…thank you, thank you, thank you.

  7. Hello, you recently replied to my topic in the Adobe forums. I downloaded one file, which worked for me (around 900 kb, the After Effects file 1).

    However, after I restarted my Firefox browser I cannot download anything anymore. I keep getting such errors;

    Access Denied
You don’t have permission to access that file on this server.
    Reference #18.24e55e52.1276268050.3258264

    Any solution?

  8. Thanks for having this! Took me a while to get access to them though…I cleared cookies…cleared cache…signed up for a new Adobe ID and they all failed to work. The only thing that finally worked is that I got on my other computer and tried it again there. I haven’t installed yet but I really hope USB-ing the dmg files over to this one will do the trick!

  9. @murphy – Sorry to hear you were having difficulties. Suspect it could be something in the browser security settings of the first computer you used, based on the description you gave, or perhaps another type of surfing restriction such as firewall/antivirus software. But glad it finally worked out for you!

  10. There’s a direct-link protection on Adobe’s side/server that will tell you ‘access denied’ if you try to access a direct-link.

To resolve this, go to Adobe.com and login with your adobe ID and just start downloading a trial (that is, download the akamai installer). You don’t need to run the installer but this ‘registers’ your ip address with adobe’s server.

Now access the direct-link from the table on this site again and you will NOT get the access denied message anymore

  11. I’ve had nothing but problems…After 4 attempts with AKillme I downloaded InDesign CS5 and have not been able to get it open…I get an error message telling me :

Adobe Application Manager is needed to start your trial. Adobe application manager is needed to resolve this problem, however it is missing or damaged. Download another copy of Application Manager at Adobe.com…
This is RIDICULOUS! Oh did I mention that Microsoft is offering free downloads too?

  12. Hi @Robert, thanks for your comment. It sounds like you finally got it downloaded OK but sorry to hear about your difficulties getting it to run…

It sounds a frustrating rare problem, haven’t seen it before – but fortunately it looks like you’re not the first to ever encounter the issue, and Adobe has been working on figuring it out. See this TechNote for some solutions to try.

Apparently it happens only on trial downloads and not the purchased versions. Hope this helps!

  13. Please review your “Tech Note” : The first solution that you offer are two – what I suppose to be links…One problem: Neither of these patches is hyperlinked…

    TechNote
Error “Adobe Application Manager is needed…” when launching or using Creative Suite 5 products

    * Windows
    AAM_1.0_mul.exe
    * Mac
    AAM_1.0_mul.dmg

As for the other solutions, I tried them – like at least a few others who have made the same complaint…To no avail…Please see your other comment board:

    • Hello again Robert, thank you for the update. That’s quite odd that Adobe didn’t hyperlink those updates, not sure why, but perhaps it was an oversight.

You may want to see our main article about solving CS5 download and installation problems – there are several suggestions there to try, including using the Adobe CS5 Cleaner Tool or the Adobe Support Advisor.

Also Adobe’s VP of Engineering for the Creative Suite, Barry Hill, monitors the comment section on that page and has also given his personal email for direct contact if you prefer. He said he welcomes feedback and details of any problems, and with the Adobe support team has helped other readers work through early CS5 difficulties.

Hope this helps – thank you again for your comments and sorry for the issues you’ve had.

  14. Hi, I find that your site is really helpful, and such that I have also found that the links have suffixes of LS1, LS2, LS3, LS4, LS5, LS6 and LS7 with .7z / .exe / .dmg

    Well all these mean:

    LS1 – English (US / International)
    LS2 – Japanese only
    LS3 – Chinese Simplified & Traditional / Korean
LS4 – Western / (Northern) Europe languages such as Danish, French, Italian, Portugese, Dutch, Finnish, German, Norwegian, Swedish* etc (Look at LS5 for Swedish notes)
LS5 – Not seen in CS5 products, but seen in Fireworks CS4 which is Swedish. I am suspecting LS5 for other CS4 products are also in Swedish as well.
LS6 – Eastern European (Czech, Romanian, Russian, Turkish, Ukrainian, Polish, Hungarian) * I did not found such files for Fireworks CS4, can anyone verify that Fireworks CS4 is not available in these languages?
LS7 – International version (Only in After Effects / Premiere Pro which contain all languages available for these two products)

Middle Eastern (Arabic, Greek and Hebrew) you have to get from WinSoft… (free trials not available)

Well, it does not apply to Acrobat 9 Professional / Extended. Is it possible to look for the links for Czech, Danish, Finnish, Hungarian, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Swedish, Turkish, and Ukrainian Acrobat 9 Professional standalone version? Thanks.

  15. Hi Samuel, you have undoubtedly written the most informative comment ever posted on our blog – thank you!

And you are absolutely right. Starting with CS4 (and continuing with CS5), Adobe began using standardized language suffixes on all product files… So if you take any of the file links listed above, and manually change the LS# suffix to whichever you want, you can download CS5 in the other languages you mention.

For example, if you copy and change Photoshop’s links above from “…/Photoshop_12_LS1…” to “…/Photoshop_12_LS6…” – and then paste those links into your browser’s location field, you will get Photoshop CS5 direct downloaded in the Eastern European language set: Czech, Polish, Russian, etc.

As for Acrobat Professional, oddly Adobe does not offer a broad selection of platforms or languages. The only platform available for the trial of Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro is Windows, and the only languages available are English, French, and German here, and Japanese here.

Thanks again for your great comment which will be helpful for all visitors here looking for other languages.
