I just want to say thank you for this awesome site. This is the second time I’ve used it and I really appreciate you guys who have again saved my bacon.
Great, glad to help Elaina – and thanks for letting us know!
Hi, I downloaded file 2 for After Effects CS4 and then downloaded file 1. When I follow the instructions to click on the .exe file I can’t find the file. It has file type ‘file’ beside the one I downloaded. When I double-click on that it cannot open the file.
Your website gives brilliant resources and this will hopefully put an end to weeks of searching for a free trial download. Thanks.
Sure Ryan… Sometimes if you use Internet Explorer to download, it will drop the “.EXE” extension off the end of the Windows executable file. In the article we suggest using a different browser, but if not then you just need to add it back to the end.
Sorry, I really need to read stuff more rather than just launching straight in, cheers and congrats on an awesome site.
Thanks Ryan, and no worries – glad you got it sorted out.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! My Flash CS4 disappeared – don’t ask me how – and without you, I would have been lost! xo
Yikes, you’re welcome Rachel – glad to help get your software back!
Hi, I have just bought a new Macbook, and I want to install the CS3 that is on my old Macbook on to this new one. However, I have lost the orginal installing CDs, but have the serial number. If I install from one of the above links will I just need my serial number to have this work on my new laptop?
Yes Francesca, the trial versions linked above will convert to permanent versions when you enter your valid purchased serial number.
You’re allowed to run the software on up to two computers – so if you only have one other then you should be fine. But if you already have two installations, then you would need to move one of them to your new Macbook.
Thanks for this. It was a great help!!!
Hi I have tried to download the cs3 design premium suite but i keep getting directed to a 404 error
HTTP ERROR: 404 /support/downloads/dlm/main.jsp
RequestURI=/support/downloads/dlm/main.jsp
can you help me out – this happens for all the links.
I’ve tried using different browsers and also tried using different machines but same error.
Any help would be great, Thanks
Welcome Kris, make sure you are carefully following the download instructions given in the article.
Try logging out of your Adobe ID account, clearing the browser cache and cookies, restarting the browser, and then trying again. Or create/try a different Adobe ID entirely.
Also for the download to work, make sure to temporarily turn off any surfing restrictions you might have set up on your computer, like site or cookie blockers, hosts exclusions, firewalls or antivirus software, etc. – and allow third-party cookies if you don’t already.
If you’re already following the instructions, and have also tried a different browser, computer, and Adobe account, then see Kate’s earlier comments, the things she tried, and the series of replies which follow – and hopefully that will get you going.
Thanks so much! I don’t usually comment on websites, but you deserve a HUGE thank you!
I lost my CS3 suite CD and figured I’d end up having to buy everything all over again. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this page! It took me a while to figure out, but once I did, it was super easy and I have EVERYTHING that was lost. Thank you again! <3
Hey, that’s great Photogirl – thanks for letting us know… We get quite a few folks like you actually, glad to hear it helped get everything back!
@ Kris
Happened to me as well, although I had been able to download succesfully before. Until I noticed that I forgot to start an initial download through the Adobe Download Assistant (ex. Photoshop CS6, and paused it right away). Afterwards I was able to save all the requested links. Good luck!
Hi, I started downloading the CS4 After Effects trial for Windows and it worked fine, but then I accidentally closed the browser, so it paused my downloads. When I reopened it and tried to resume it simply said: “The file cannot be downloaded” so I cancelled it, logged out and back in with my Adobe ID, and tried redownloading it from the link (the file 2) but it now comes up with same error @Kris posted about. Any advice? I also don’t know how to clear cookies and the cache on IE9? Thanks – Sam
I also just tried restarting my computer (I am running Windows 8 btw) but it made no difference – Before my browser closed, I successfully downloaded and installed Fireworks CS4, and downloaded Soundbooth CS3.
@Sam
Ignore all this, I read Kate’s comments and while the Adobe Download Assistant download finished, I tried downloading Master Collection CS4 and it started working, thank you Kate, Kris and ProDesignTools, all your previous comments have helped me loads :D
You’re welcome Sam, glad to hear it!
Pro Design,
I have legit CS4 Design Premium US English. Followed instructions, log in at adobe, session cookie, etc, etc, still can’t download it. I get the denied access. Can someone just send me the darn link?? I can give you the SN as proof?? Really, Really need to download CS4 to get on my new work laptop. IT lost the discs!!
Thanks!!!
Sorry Rob, we can’t copy or redistribute the software for you – it’s not allowed by Adobe… But these links go to the original and authentic trials resident on their servers, and really you don’t want it coming from anywhere else.
If you’re still having difficulties, clear your browser cache and cookies, then follow the instructions and log in again – or try a different browser, computer, or Internet connection.
I downloaded premiere pro cs4, but where is the serial number?
Hi Guy, you can’t really buy one anymore. Adobe no longer sells these older releases, and you’ll be very hard-pressed to find safe and legitimate copies anywhere else out there – definitely not on eBay etc…
These trial links are used mostly by people who already own these prior products and have lost or misplaced their discs, bought a new laptop that doesn’t have a CD/DVD drive, or no longer have their downloaded purchase, etc. Otherwise they will only run for 30 days.
Your best bet is to just get Creative Suite 6 or Creative Cloud instead, the latest and greatest. These are countless improvements and new features since the time of these old versions, and you can download and run the free CS6 trials to see for yourself.
If for some reason your current computer won’t support the CS6 system requirements, then you’re still going to be better off by saving up a few hundred dollars for an inexpensive Windows laptop and going with CS6 or CC instead (which actually you can get for just $19/month). You really won’t regret it instead of trying to buy outdated and unsupported software.
hey, cannot download from my mac, says java not working. Do these links really work?
Yes, they do… Just make sure you carefully follow the download instructions given in the article.
I have my serial number for CS3 Web Premium. Do I have to download the full thing, or could my serial number work with just the components? (Photoshop, Fireworks, Dreamweaver are all I ever used, so I don’t want to waste bandwidth downloading the parts I won’t use!)
Hello Eric, in theory if you have the license key for a suite edition, you should be able to download, install, and activate just the applications you want – but doing it once for the entire suite (and selecting which tools you want to install via checkboxes) is probably easier on the whole.
When trying to install, I get “Required resources are missing.” from the installer. ??? I was trying to install CS3 Photoshop.
Now I tried CS3 Web Premium, and still get the “required resources are missing” dialogue from the installer. I’m on a new MacBook Air running Lion.
Haven’t seen that error message before, but see if this Adobe forum thread helps.
Hi, this may be weird. But am I still able to purchase a new Adobe Audition 3.0 anywhere in the world now?
Please kindly let me know, I’m from Singapore and I can’t find any here! Thanks!
No, not really Mark. Adobe has not sold Audition 3.0 for years, so a safe, new, legitimate copy is not likely to be found… See the response above to Guy for more on what this means.
Your best bet is to just get Adobe Audition CS6. It’s gotten much better since the CS5 release, and if you want to see that then just download and run the free CS6 trial.
@ ProDesignTools
Apparently what is missing is Rosetta. Because some of the installers are PowerPC only, those components won’t be installed. I am running a new MacBook Air with Lion, and I even found my install discs. Part of the problem was that, though I had the Java Runtime installed, it wasn’t working (I think someone had suggested that I turn that off about a year ago). From what I gather from the Adobe site, the problem has to do with the CS3 installers not working with Intel-only Lion or later. So looks like I am out of luck on getting this, admittedly old, software to run again. Dang.
That’s too bad… and seemed a likely explanation from that forum thread link. Thanks for posting the full details. You may also be interested in this help article:

Simplemente…. GRACIAS!!
I have just loaded Adobe CS3 Design Standard to my Downloaded files, but cannot get the program to execute the install. What is the problem and what should I do?
Hey Rick, it sounds like maybe you lost the file extension when downloading. Sometimes that happens if you use Internet Explorer – it will drop the “.EXE” off the end of the Windows executable file.
In the article we suggest using a different browser, but if not then you just need to add that extension back to the end of that filename (in other words, rename that file to restore the “.EXE”) – and then run (double-click) it.
Thank you for providing these direct links! My CS4 disks 1&2 are missing! I fortunately had registered my license so that’s a good thing, but I really needed to be able to use the product this weekend. You are a lifesaver!
Hey, that’s great Sandra – always thrilled to hear a happy-ending story like that, thanks for letting us know!
Have to say thank you, you are a lifesaver ! Couldn’t find the first disk of my CS3 Web Premium set, so this download link will save my bacon !
Hi There,
Just want to add to the chorus of thanks. My (HP) laptop died last week, so I finally made the switch to Mac this weekend. One of the inevitable tasks that comes with anything like this is reinstalling all the software that was on the old machine (into the Windows Bootcamp partition in this case). Although I’ve got the box with the serial and the Disc 2 ‘Content’ DVD, I couldn’t for the life of me find the ‘Application’ disc (D1) of my CS3 Web Premium.
Adobe don’t keep replacement discs for old versions, and of course they haven’t made these links easy to find on their site, have they ? I love Adobe and just went to our local CS6 Roadshow … but honestly, you’d think they’d want to make life easier for their existing customers who can’t YET afford the upgrade, wouldn’t you ? :)
Good news – glad to hear that Pete… and thank you for the kind words!
