Is it possible to install CS3 or CS4 Premiere Pro on a computer that is not connected to a network?
TIA
Not sure about the free trials Terry, but definitely not the full versions because of Adobe product activation which uses the Internet.
Hi, I couldn’t get the link File 1 for Adobe After Effects CS4 to download. It keeps saying page not found. Can you help me, or maybe check that the link is still current. Thanks
Yes, all is well Jenny and the direct links above continue to test and work fine on our end… Make sure you are carefully following the download instructions given in the article, or trying with a different browser, computer, and/or Internet connection (no Wi-Fi).
If still no luck, then see Kate’s earlier comments, the things she tried, and the series of replies which follow – and hopefully that will get you going.
I too keep getting the 404 error, no matter what I do. I can’t even get to the login problem Kate experienced and commented about. I do have an Adobe login already… I just need this 32-bit version until I can get my new laptop with a 64-bit OS so I can get CS6… have a video project due tomorrow and the computer lab at school has been closed all weekend! Halfway to major freak out. Going to keep looking since I can’t get this to work for me :(
Sorry to hear you’re having difficulties Amber… You could also try clearing your browser cache and cookies and then redownloading, or possibly creating another/new Adobe ID account and giving that a shot. Good luck!
Nevermind. Tried it again today and it worked.
Great, glad to hear it – and thanks for letting us know. Those kinds of issues often do clear up after trying different things at different times.
Hmm… I’ve tried downloading file 2 for the CS4 Master Collection (the .7z archive) multiple times, and every time, it is corrupt. Does anyone else have this problem, and, if so, know a fix for it?
That does occasionally happen Garrett, particularly if your Internet connection is not as strong as some for these large files… See the suggestions given to Jenny in the comments just above.
I’m trying to download CS3 Photoshop and Illustrator but I keep getting a 404 error when I click the trial. Is there any way of fixing it soon, cause I need both for my college work outside of the college computers. Help would be appreciated
Thank You
Hey there Gemma, there’s nothing wrong – just make sure you are carefully following the instructions in the article and tips to other commenters above, and then if you continue to have difficulties try a different browser, computer, Adobe ID login, or Internet connection.
If still no luck, then see Kate’s earlier comments, the things she tried, and the series of responses following – and hopefully that will take care of things for you.
Hi, I’m trying to download the InDesign CS4 trial and I keep getting a 404 message.
Hi Erin, please see the response just above your comment – thanks.
I try to download CS4 Production Premium > File 1
and Firefox 15.0.1 gives me this answer:
HTTP ERROR: 404 /support/downloads/dlm/main.jsp
RequestURI=/support/downloads/dlm/main.jsp
how can I solve it?
I am logged into Adobe and still can’t download the links. Can you help?
Hello Pietro and Cecily – please see the comments just above yours.
a while back i installed a photoshop cs3 trial that i had got from school, purchasing an activation code seems like chasing a ghost – where can i purchase an activation code, and if some of the software was uninstalled how can i fix it?
Welcome Claudia, as you note these downloads above are only trials which can be very useful in some cases – but if you would like to buy the full version of Photoshop then you should get the new CS6 instead – Adobe does not sell old releases.
But that’s good because Photoshop CS6 is a far better product anyway – and you won’t put yourself in the extremely risky and difficult situation of trying to find a safe and legit older version.
Hi, I have my original discs of CS Premium with Serial #, which I have been running all these years on a G4.
I had to reinstall the OS and was going to re-install CS, but the installer Disc 1 is cracked though the disc and I need to find a way to work around this, do any of these files above work for this?
Greetings Linda, when you say “CS Premium” do you mean CS1 from 2003? No, sorry but we don’t have links for anything that old – CS3 here is the furthest back, although you could try digging around on Adobe’s public FTP site which contains some really old stuff, but that’s for advanced users only.
GRACIAS, me salvo necesitaba la prueba de InDesign CS3 y ya resolvi, muchas gracias.
please, i need to download the adobe photoshop cs4 free trial, and i am trying more and i can’t download
I need help from your team,
thanks,
best regards
Still wont let me download CS3/CS4 even though I’m signed in already with my Adobe account. Any ideas?
Yes, are you carefully following the download instructions given in the article above? That’s also quite important.
Can someone please help. Downloaded Premiere CS4 no problem. But when I hit the icon on my Mac to launch Premiere Pro, i get this message and it won’t open:
/Ironisde/4.0/MediaCore/ASL/Foundation/Make/Mac/../../SrcDirectoryRegistry.cpp-283]
Any ideas please, need this for a project, thank you
Hey there Pete, this forum discussion thread says that message seems to indicate a conflict somewhere on your machine, maybe that will help you sort it out…
Have you tried the Premiere Pro CS6 trial?
Thanks for link but I had seen that one already and removed some programs that it may be conflicting with.
Can’t use the CS6 trial as I’m on a 32-bit laptop unfortunately.
Well, it could also be a permissions problem you’re having with that.
Hi, I’m having trouble in downloading photoshop and illustrator cs4. please kindly assist me. thank you.
Hi Perlie, make sure you are carefully following the download instructions given in the article and tips to other commenters above, and then if you continue to have difficulties try a different browser, computer, Adobe ID login, or Internet connection.
If still no luck, then see Kate’s earlier comments, the things she tried, and the series of responses following – and hopefully that will get you going.
Okay, i know i’ve commented before about not being able to download cs3 products but i’ve followed the instructions but it still doesn’t work and i can see i’m not the only person having problems. I’ve downloaded photoshop cs3 for mac back in September and it worked fine … but now its getting ridiculous! Since i’m a student i cant afford to buy cs3, i need the trials. So something is wrong on the server, it’s nothing to do with my mac.
Hello again Gemma, all our previous advice to you would still apply… Sometimes folks do run into difficulties downloading from Adobe’s servers, but usually only a small fraction of our readers here.
Our bigger question is why are you sticking just with CS3 trials – why not use the new (and much better) CS6 free trials?
And since you’re a student, did you know you can get CS6 at up to 80% off discounts on the regular price?
Hi, I have one question. Does Premiere Pro CS4 works on 32-bit operating system??
Please answer! Thank you!
Yes, Premiere Pro CS4 and After Effects CS4 were the last versions that will still run on a 32-bit system and/or Windows XP.
Hi,
I’m sticking with cs3 and not cs6 is because I’m being taught in cs3 as my college isn’t able to afford cs6. I’ve tried cs6 and I was more confused than anything. So when I’m being taught in cs6 is when I’ll start using cs6.
That’s great you’re getting formal instruction. Just be aware that Creative Suite 6 would look at lot better on your resumé than CS3, which is over five years old… Not many employers are still running CS3 – the vast majority are on CS5 and CS6 now.
There are some great free resources for getting started in CS6 if you decide to give it another go:
— Free Photoshop CS6 Primer (Top 10 Techniques)
— Free Adobe CS6 eBooks (Over 1000 Pages)
— Free CS6 Video Training (30 Hours of Content)

Good luck!
What a life saver! Thanks a million for putting up these trial links! Adobe finally pulled these downloads off of our purchased content in our “purchased history” only to leave us the serial numbers. I called support and talked to live chat with no help. Someone on the forums led me here. You guys just saved my bacon!
Sure, glad to be of assistance. Adobe will keep the links available in your online account for three years, so ideally everyone should download and store an offline copy of their software for permanent backup and archival purposes.
But not everyone is aware and inevitably some folks slip through the cracks, so we’re happy to help out where we can here.
I am trying to download CS4 Web Premium but keep getting the following error:
HTTP ERROR: 404 /support/downloads/dlm/main.jsp
Greetings Tom, please make sure you’re carefully following the directions given in the article – and then if you’re still having difficulties, try a different browser, computer, or Internet connection (no Wi-Fi).
Hello!
I am trying to install CS4 Design Premium.
Followed instructions, no problem clicking the links… except that “File 1” in the downloads list won’t download. It appears in my downloads folder with the bar underneath…and makes no progress.
“File 2” downloaded just fine.
Any thoughts?
Not sure why that would happen Nicole… You could clear your browser cache and cookies and then give it another go, or perhaps easier, just try a different browser or computer.
Aha… so I’ve tried it in freshly-downloaded Firefox, (using a brand new Mac), and am prompted upon downloading files…. it says the file is 4.6GB? Yet when I download it, it “instantly” downloads, (along with a matching “.part” file), but clicking on the DMG it is “not recognized”.
(File 2 opens just fine)
Pulling my hair out.. even if I did find my old discs, new Mac doesn’t have an optical drive to read them.
Update: I tried downloading it in Firefox rather than Safari, and was prompted about the download… 4.8GB…!
It took a good long time to download, but alas, I am successfully running setup!
Great, glad to hear you got it sorted out Nicole, and thanks for letting us know.
