when I tried to download this on just adobe’s website, i would get to the adobe download assistant, hit “i agree” and nothing would happen.. i don’t have any antivirus software on my computer (just recently deleted norton) and i disabled everything from my mozilla in case that was the problem. i have windows 7 64 bit.. so when i tried to download this it would say
“the file archive part of the adobe premiere elements 10 is missing. You need all parts in the same folder to extract adobe premiere elements 10. please download all parts”
can you help me?
Hello Megan, make sure you follow the instructions in the article carefully and download both files above into the same directory or folder… One file should have a .exe extension and the other a .7z extension. It’s possible your browser may have removed or changed one of the file extensions, that happens sometimes – if so, then you need to rename it back. Then run (double-click or open) the .exe file and you should be good to go.
For best results, the folder should be on your main C: drive, and install it to the same disk.
Wow. Trying to download anything from Adobe is seriously frustrating. Nothing works for me – in any browser.
Hi, have you carefully followed the download instructions given above? Nothing will work if you don’t.
Yes exactly. I have never encountered anything as tedious as this. I am about ready to give up and try another product. Why this mania for control over downloads? I can’t get any joy from adobe.com either. Why force people to use a ‘downloader’ when http or ftp will suffice – as it has done for years.
Thank you for the quick reply btw!
These direct links don’t use a downloader or any download manager actually – and that is their attraction for many visitors here… Some folks have problems with the Adobe Download Assistant, and prefer to get the trials without using it. However you still have to properly set up your browser on Adobe’s end to download with these links.
But you haven’t actually said what’s not working or going wrong, or what message you’re getting (if any), or if you followed every step of the instructions, etc. It’s hard to help you without knowing those things – thanks.
It is hopeless trying to struggle through your website to download a trial version of Elements 10. I own an older version and would like to see what is better. Can’t use the Adobe Download Assistant because I need to download on one machine but install on another, and don’t think the Assistant wants to do that. Read of a way to download direct, had to try couple of times to get my account activated again, but then just got:
Access Denied
You don’t have permission to access “…/AdobeProducts/PRE/10/win32/PremiereElements_10_LS15_win32.exe” on this server.
Reference #18.df003e17.1346680932.4099c192
I have given up for now.
If someone would like to tell me how to download on one machine and install on another that would be good
Hey there Toco, we just tested the links again and they all work fine from our end… Have you carefully followed the download instructions above? Your issue is the kind of thing that will happen if Adobe doesn’t recognize you as being logged in (which sets their session cookie on your browser).
Or if you’ve done all that and are still having problems, then clear your browser cache/cookies and try again – or try a different web browser, computer and/or Internet connection (avoid Wi-Fi as it can be unreliable).
If you want to download on one computer but install on another, just copy over the files once you’ve finished downloading them… Using a flash drive usually works well, but make sure you copy the files from the memory key onto your other system before beginning the installation.
I get “Error 1935” just at the end of the “installation” process… very frustrated, this is the 4th time I’ve tried to get Photoshop Elements either though the download assistant or the direct download here…
Sorry to hear that K – it sounds like with four tries you’ve gotten the software downloaded okay, so that’s probably not the issue…
You can check out the suggestions on this Adobe Forum thread, but the determination there is that the error seems to be an operating system problem.
What is the most current version of Adobe Camera Raw which works with Photoshop Elements 8??
Many thanks.
Bruce.
Greetings Bruce, if you check the Adobe Camera Raw Download Page for all versions (current and older releases of the plug-in), you’ll see that ACR 6.2 is the last version that works with Photoshop Elements 8.
Hello, when I tried to download Elements 10, it seemed that it would work out fine, but I couldn’t open it (it said that the .exe program could not find the other program, although it was in the same file. When I tried to download it again, it says: access denied; You don’t have permission to access “…/AdobeProducts/PSE/10/win32/PhotoshopElements_10_LS15.exe” on this server.

Any idea??? It drives me crazy that I can’t download a trial version before I want to buy it!!!
Hi Nanette, for the Windows version of the program you definitely need to download from two links – a .exe file and a .7z file. Then run the .exe and it will get you started.
For the rest, see our recommendations to Toco just above – or see how it goes with downloading from the new Elements 11 direct links instead.
Hi, after many attempts to download Adobe Elements 10 I have finally succeeded. I would like to see a much simpler way of doing this to cater for older users (I am 80). However I am delighted to be able to use Elements 10 to catch up to those way ahead of me.
Many thanks
Maureen
Welcome Maureen, thank you for your comment and glad you got it sorted out. And good for you!
Is it too late to mention that the Elements 11 free trials are out?
For learning and getting started with the software, here are four hours of free tutorials for Elements 10 & 9, as well as a new three-hour free course for Elements 11.
Hope this helps… Best of luck with everything!
Just wanted to thank you. After downloading, I clicked the exe and it decompiled the files. Then run the setup.exe and voila! I could not find Premiere Elements 10 trial on Adobe.com because they are on version 11 now. And so this website was super useful for me!
Thanks again! Stef.
You’re welcome Stef, glad to help! Thank you for your kind words.
I’m not looking for a free trial — I have been a paid-up user Elements 10 for over a year. I just need to reinstall the Organizer 10. I’m assuming that the trial download will only be good for a few weeks, then it will expect me purchase. Or am I making a bad assumption?
I don’t know what happened, but while I wasn’t looking, a disk image showed up on my desktop, of Elements 10. I went through the entire installation, no problems, checked out the Organizer, yup, it’s back and working, so everything’s cool again!
Thanks to whoever it was that caused the new download!!!!
Glad you got it sorted out PK. FYI, these trials are the same software as the disc versions, and you can just enter your valid purchased serial number to activate the programs permanently.
After numerous attempts at downloads it finally finished downloaded. it being Elements and Premiere 10, no I don’t want number 11, I’ve only had 10 a few months. They are in the same folder. They will not open. I keep getting the error message they need both parts to open. both parts are in there. I have checked several times, they are the different files and in the same folder. I cannot even get into them to find the setup file that is usually there. Please help. I do have the disks but Windows 8 doesn’t recognize my dvd cd-rom drive, hence the faffing around with the downloads.
Hello Linda, sorry you’re having difficulties… For that message, please see this earlier response to Megan.
Hello Yes I did read that. Yes I did try that. No it did not work. Had it worked I would not have commented. It won’t let me in the files to even run them.
It sounds like you may have an incomplete or corrupted download, which happens sometimes because these files are so large… We suggest trying it again using a different browser, computer, or Internet connection (for example, with a wired Ethernet cable instead of wireless or Wi-Fi).
@ ProDesignTools
Thank you for the FYI! I’ve been using Elements since before it was Elements, viz, Photoshop LE. I’m sure I’ve run across the info about downloading and re-entering the purchased SN many times, but I sure blanked out when I needed it. I have Adobe’s User Guide for Elements 4.0, and Barbara Brundage’s Missing Manual for both Elements 6 and Elements 10. The info is probably in all 3 reference manuals. Thanks again!
@ ProDesignTools
I have tried 3 different browsers. It is pointless using a different computer as I need it on this one. I’ve not been able to download again either. I cannot afford to change internet suppliers anymore than I can afford spending money on disks that can’t be used do to the stupidness of W8 not being compatible with DVD drives. (I realise that Photoshop is not to blame here). Is there a way I could just upgrade to Elements 11 and only pay the upgrade price rather than the full one as I only bought Elements 10 a few months ago?
Yes, absolutely you can upgrade to Elements 11, which is getting great reviews and it’s less expensive that way.
Here are the key differences between the two versions, as well as some free tutorials for PSE 11 (video training). You can also download free ebooks for more on getting started.
@ Toco Cantar
I had this problem before and I fixed it by creating an user and logging in to adobe.com
Thanks Juan, yes – that’s steps 1 & 2 of the download instructions given in the article.
Sorry, I tried again and it didn’t work just by logging to the Adobe website, it worked when I logged in to the Download Assistant that pops up when you try to download any other trial on the website.
Yes, that’s right Juan – sorry if it wasn’t clearer.
I own PSE 10 discs and they are registered. Bought a new iMac that does not take discs. Can I download PSE 10 directly from Adobe?
Yes, absolutely Greg – just use the Photoshop Elements 10 direct download links above and then convert the trial to a permanent version using your purchased license key.
Thank you so very much for your links and directions. I mistakenly uninstalled PSE10 in order to install 11 but then my MAC did not have the correct specs. I did not have my disc and looked all over the web for a free trial download to use until I could get home to get my disc. Nothing but PSE11! Until I found your page!!! Thanks don’t seem enough—but a big thank you anyway!
Hey Diane, that’s a great story to hear with a happy ending – thanks for sharing and glad to help!
Trying to download Premiere 10. Bought the disc (with Photoshop 10 too) but only the Photoshop Elements will install, Premiere simply will not install – Adobe just ignores my requests for help and even their online “help” just says he cannot help because it’s “technical” – well really? So trying to download Premiere 10 in the hope I can use my legitimately purchased product key to activate it that way. Will NEVER buy Adobe again as I simply cannot believe the lack of customer service – these are not cheap products after all and as a minimum, they should at least be installable!
Hi GG, what problem are you getting with it in particular – what message or error are you seeing when you try to install the software? Have you checked on Adobe’s Support Pages? Does your computer meet the minimum system requirements for Premiere Elements 10?
I own the full PSE 10 and have a new Lenovo IdeaPad that does not have a CD drive. I am having problems downloading the trial version on PSE 10. I am running Windows 8.
Greetings Dusty,
This is the right page in your case, but please see this previous response if you are having any difficulties getting the downloads to work for you.
Super frustrated. I have the Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 Trial. Since my trial has expired, I tried to pay for it so I could use it. Instead, it keeps offering Photoshop Elements 11. This won’t run on my computer, so it does me no good. I just want to be able to use it. Help. Just trying to get work done.
The system requirements between the two versions are very similar (including both supporting Windows XP), so curious why PSE 11 wouldn’t run on you computer… Do you have an old Mac or something?
You won’t be able to convert that previous trial to permanent with Adobe any longer, not for a prior version… They never sell old software, only the current products. You could try to find it elsewhere, but that is all too often fraught with peril.
Your best bet really is to get PSE 11, the latest and greatest release, if you can somehow swing it with your machine. We have the Elements 11 direct download links naturally as well.
Hope this helps!
The link is no longer active and err’ng out with “Access Denied”
Please advise!
Hello Neo, these downloads all work perfectly on our end… Please see this previous response if you are having any issues – thanks.
Hi there,
Thanks for this great support. I have downloaded and all works fine for me.
Thank you, (sorry, English is not my language)
Bernd
Great Bernd, glad to hear it and thanks for letting us know!
You have done a great job of maintaining this site and I’ve checked it many times. If you can provide a correct answer I am willing to provide some small compensation. Here’s the problem: The Photoshop Elements albums shown in iTunes are not the same as those shown in Photoshop Elements. I’m using Elements 8 and iTunes 11. Needless to say, I’ve tried the obvious solutions, like uninstalling/reinstalling both programs, running CCleaner, etc.
Thanks!
Welcome Slowken, thanks for the kudos, appreciate that! We try to keep the site a valuable resource for Adobe users.
As to your question, you’re not the first on that one – so this discussion will hopefully help:
