[UPDATE (Oct. 2022) – Watch over 200 new courses & tutorials from MAX 2022 – free!]

The Adobe MAX 2014 conference was held earlier this month, and as in previous experiences, it’s always the three most intense days of the year…

It comes complete with major product announcements from the company, inspirational keynotes from creative wizards, scores of learn-till-you-drop training sessions, plentiful opportunities for networking with colleagues, checking out the latest cool technology on the pavilion floor, meeting the Adobe product teams in person, the great buzz over “Sneak Peek” demos of mind-blowing features under development, and of course the all-out MAX Bash party with 6,000 of your peers.

But perhaps the best part for those who weren’t there is that most of the sessions were recorded on video and are now offered online for free… In other words, pick your favorite Adobe tools and you can learn the latest tips, tricks and techniques from the best instructors in the field right from your desktop. There are six major tracks below (99U, Digital Design, Digital Publishing, Graphic Design & Illustration, Photography & Creative Imaging, and Video) with many different topics; most classes are about an hour long and the collection runs to over 185 hours of training in total.

Special: Legally download dozens of free Adobe books for a limited time!

Watch the Adobe MAX 2014 Keynotes, Sessions and Tutorials Online, Free!

Experience the Creativity Conference – online.  Adobe MAX gathers designers, developers, industry pros and visionaries to explore the latest technologies, techniques and strategies for delivering cutting edge creative work… Now available on-demand.

One really cool feature is you can download any of these presentations for later viewing offline on your computer… While watching your video online, just right-click on the playing window and select “Save video as…”, and then specify a location to save the video locally to your hard drive. The video will be downloaded in H.264 format with a .MP4 file extension, and can then be played back with almost any media player without an Internet connection, or transferred to a smartphone/iPhone or tablet/iPad for anywhere-anytime viewing.

So if you couldn’t make it to L.A. this year, or didn’t have the $1,495 to needed to attend, didn’t win our MAX ticket giveaway, or weren’t able to catch everything you wanted there, then here are all the best new training and tutorial sessions direct from the show, now free to watch…  The entire course listing is below – and totaling over 185 hours in duration, that’s 23 eight-hour days worth of content (for real) with unlimited access – exciting enough to keep one busy for a while!

    • Hi Layne, yes – it’s amazing they give it all away for free, considering that the conference sessions cost US$1,500 to attend!

It’s also terrific for those of us who were there but just didn’t have time to see or do everything…

BTW if you want more great learning resources at no cost, then check out dozens of free Adobe book downloads!

  1. Is there a way I can download them to my tablet so that I can watch them when on travel where there is no wifi, or when I am commuting to and from work by metro underground and no available wifi? It would be great if these were downloadable.

    • Hey Dokobe, that’s a great question – and when using a desktop or laptop computer, the answer is yes! While watching any video online, you can right-click on the playing window and select “Save video as…”, and then specify a location to save the video locally to your system’s hard drive. The video will be in H.264 format with a .MP4 file extension, and can be played back with almost any media player.

There is also a Quality selection you can make when playing back the video – look for the settings control at the lower right of the video, and choose Low, Medium, High, or HD… The size of your downloaded file will depend on the quality of video you are playing – and could run from approximately 100 MB in size for an hour-long session at Low quality, up to about 600 MB for the same course in HD.

Once you have the tutorials you want downloaded, you can then simply transfer or Dropbox them over to your tablet or iPad for watching anywhere, anytime.

Hope this helps! We will also add information about this feature into the article above so that everyone can benefit from being able to download and watch the MAX training videos offline.

    • No, definitely all of the sessions are available for full streaming and download worldwide… We just double-checked this using two European proxy servers to test.

You might want to try using a different browser and/or another computer, and make sure you’re not blocking or filtering anything with your browser(s) – like cookies, downloads, or any sites or URLs – and not running things like Ghostery, AdBlock, or Disconnect.

    • Sure Joana – to get the latest version, you can easily download a trial of CC 2014 (the current Adobe creative release) and then run it fully on your computer for free for up to 60 days

To get started learning how to best use Photoshop (and other major tools), you can watch some of the training classes listed in the article above plus grab our collection of free Adobe books that you can download and work through.

If you want to purchase Photoshop for longer-term use then check out Adobe’s special new $9.99/mo. CC Photography Plan, which includes both Photoshop and Lightroom plus ongoing upgrades.

      Hope that helps!
