    • Yes Roy, as far as we can tell it seems Adobe has changed the way it delivers Muse updates with CC 2014… Instead of an incremental patch as before, you’ll get a full new release downloaded now. But just go ahead and install it as normal, and this program will overwrite/upgrade your previous version in-place.

Also don’t worry about it appearing to be a demo – as always with Adobe, all applications start off as trials but become fully-licensed with your ID login or valid serial number entry… It’s actually the same exact software.

  1. Thanks for the DDL links! This made updating our whole studio full of Macs easy on the bandwidth last year :)

That said, I can get all of these updates to install except the Photoshop 15.1 update. When I try to install it it says “This patch is not applicable for you. Please check for updates from the Help menu in your product to see a list of latest updates available.”

Updating through the Creative Cloud Desktop menubar app works, but obviously we then have to download the update once per machine then (we have 37 machines). Any ideas on how to install?

    Thanks!

    • Hey Jason, glad these are helpful for you and thank you for the kind words!

The “Update Failed / Updates could not be applied. This patch is not applicable for you” message does sometimes happen. Here below is the advice we offered earlier with the older CC 2013 patches… The same general tips would likely apply here with the new CC 2014 version.

Please let us know how it goes – if this helps and/or how you make out!

Before trying to apply the patches, make sure to actually install and run the application first (let it fully start up). The program will sign you in (or ask you to sign in with your Adobe ID), which will activate the software. Then reboot your computer, and apply the appropriate update that you downloaded here.

If you’ve already been running the application, then sign out of and then back in to Creative Cloud to refresh the activation state. In other words, sign out of the CC Desktop App manager or from the Help menu of any tool, reboot your machine, then start it up and log back in again. That will force it to scan your Adobe products (it apparently only scans once a day otherwise).

If you’re still having difficulties after that, then try uninstalling the particular app(s) entirely via your operating system, rebooting your machine, and then reinstalling the app(s) and patch(es) from scratch.

If still no luck, then try downloading and running Adobe’s special CC Cleaner Tool to remove all traces of the app(s), rebooting your system, and then reinstalling and reactivating the apps per the above instructions.

If you are an enterprise customer, then please check with your Admin if he or she has suppressed or disabled Adobe updates.

Hopefully that will fix it for you. Otherwise, there may be some sort of licensing issue at play on your computer that requires exceptional assistance and you may need to contact Adobe directly about it.

    • Not true Roy. You’re probably talking about Photoshop 15.2 (CC 2014.2.0) and Premiere Pro 8.1 (CC 2014.1.0), neither of which have been officially “pushed” yet by Adobe…

We will not post them here until they are formally blessed and released by the company. Please be careful about trying to download or use versions that have not been approved by Adobe, especially if found on unauthorized websites or from untrusted sources.

The moment these updates are officially out, we’ll have the direct download links to the patches for you here in the table above.

    • While those files are definitely sourcing directly from Adobe’s servers (so the patches are authentic), we do not recommend using them as those version updates have not been officially approved or released yet by Adobe.

In fact, Adobe recently pulled a future Photoshop 15.2 update off their servers for exactly this reason, although one could argue that it shouldn’t be up there in the first place until it is fully ready to go.

  2. @ProDesignTools

I never thanked you for this tip, my apologies for the delay. Thank you!

Logging in and out of Adobe CC did the trick for most – some needed a reboot (we hardly ever reboot the machines, hence the problem in the first place).

  3. I get ‘Access Denied’ when trying to Download Updates from Oct., 7th for Dreamweaver, Muse and Edge.
    Why’s that?
Tried different browsers, proxies but no luck.

  4. No, I have the download fine, it is just that they did not put on the DMG what they normally do. It is not a MAC Installer, but a folder that says “payloads”.
