    • Sure, done. You did get entered into our database, so the email with the links to the Adobe books should have been sent out to you immediately and automatically… But in any event, we just sent out the books to you manually.

Be sure to check your promotions or bulk/junk folders as sometimes valid email is put there incorrectly.

To ensure delivery please add this incoming address to your contact list, address book, or safe senders list:

      ProDesignTools

If you encounter any further issues, please let us know.

    • Sure Markus, your address does show on our list already, but we sent the email/links out again.

From looking at the past few times this has been reported, it appears that Microsoft-based addresses (hotmail.com, live.com, msn.com, outlook.com) are in common, and could be an issue… We’re looking into this further.

    • Follow-up: The problem should (hopefully) be solved… There was some syntax in the server’s SPF record that the Microsoft mail servers apparently didn’t like. But, it should be fixed now for those hotmail, live, and msn email addresses – so all new subscribers will be receiving the books automatically again.

Note the change may take some time to propagate to all of Microsoft’s servers, before going into effect.

Thanks to everyone for the feedback in helping work this out.

  1. Whoa, hold on here – those ebooks aren’t in pdf format are they? Because, no offence, as wonderful as the pdf format is otherwise it’s nightmarish to read books in. It’s the go-to format for the kind of free ebooks that are free because the author died before we were born, so there’s no one interested enough to make the book in a format that is functional for ebooks, like epub.

    • Yes Helena, they’re all in PDF. Sure, ePub is nice for some applications if you have a special reader – but PDF is the universal king and standard for Internet distribution, and works absolutely fine for most folks (including us, and we read a lot of them online)…

Nobody here has complained about it so far – you would be the first, so feel free to pass if that’s really what you want. But there are many, many other readers who are very happy with the set. And did we mention it’s free?

  2. I have signed up to get the 20 free Adobe downloads. I have received the email with the links but the links don’t work. For instance, if I click on the link for the Premiere Elements, all I get is a tab with "4 (1×1)" and a blank page.

I have tried this in IE, IE without add-ons, Opera, Firefox, Google and Pale Moon browsers all with the same result. How can I get these downloads, please?

    • Hi Richard, sorry to hear of your difficulties. It sounds like you are running Kaspersky or some other aggressive third-party security software. Did you try turning that off?

Typically when someone has problems accessing the books, it’s because of an issue with the browser software/plugins being used, or because there is something running on the desktop system that is restricting the web content.

Are you blocking or filtering anything with your browser(s) – like cookies, downloads, or any sites or URLs? Adobe recommends turning those things off…

Or are you running any utilities that might restrict your web surfing – like Ghostery, AdBlock, or Disconnect? Or possibly your firewall, antivirus program (esp. Kaspersky), or other third-party security software?

Occasionally some folks have difficulty accessing the books but usually it’s because of heavy-handed software or utilities like these. Usually we suggest temporarily turning off anything that might be interfering, -and/or- trying it with a different web browser or another computer.

An alternative would be to try downloading the book PDF’s for mobile usage and reading with a tablet/iPad or smartphone/iPhone… That would avoid any issues with the desktop and then you could then share the books back to your computer using Dropbox, Box, or Creative Cloud online storage.

      Hope that helps!

  3. I’m already an email subscriber. I’m interested in any books or tutorials you have on Acrobat DC. I used the link I had in my original email, but it only has ones for Acrobat X and XI. Thanks!

    • Welcome Bruce, thank you for your question. We are on the lookout for a free new book on Adobe Acrobat DC, to supplement the two that we already have for Acrobat XI and Acrobat X…

The best we have found so far is a free new downloadable PDF manual for Acrobat DC Standard/Pro, and this handy volume comes in at 538 pages.

Hope that helps – and if/when we find additional helpful free resources, we’ll have them right here for you.

      Thanks for your feedback!
