How to Buy Adobe Software (CC, CS6) with PayPal, not Credit Card

February 26th, 2015 34 comments

News: Adobe Now Accepting PayPal for Creative Cloud Subscriptions

For years it was difficult if not impossible to buy Adobe software online (especially the newer CC subscriptions) and pay with PayPal instead of a credit card or debit card. But finally, great news: Adobe has just made it possible to purchase all software using PayPal in many countries worldwide, so you can now buy Creative Cloud (or CS6) without a credit card.

These countries include the US, Canada, Mexico, United Kingdom, Brazil, Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, and much of Europe (Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal and Spain). Alternatively, payment using Switch or Solo is also supported in the UK.

This welcome new development has been quietly rolled out this week, and added to Adobe’s online FAQ under the question: “Which payment options can be used to purchase your Creative Cloud membership?”

Adobe CC Prepaid Subscriptions: How to Buy a Year+ in Advance

December 9th, 2014 30 comments

See Adobe Creative Cloud New One-Year Prepaid Subscriptions

A lot of people have been asking for this, and now there is a solution for all customers worldwide…  Adobe’s recent CC 2014 release of creative desktop tools has been well-received, but some folks prefer not to have a monthly payment on their credit cards or would rather prepay for their Creative Cloud memberships upfront, a year (or more) at a time. This used to be tricky, but fortunately there is now a very easy way to do it for all products available.

For each different Adobe subscription plan, you’ll now find a dropdown menu with a One-Year Prepaid option when buying or renewing your Creative Cloud subscription. These prepaid plans are offered in up to 84 countries and allows you to make a one-time charge in advance of each year, rather than a smaller amount each month… It solves the problem for those who may have difficulties with month-by-month recurring payments, and it’s available for all different types of memberships: Individual, Education, or Business; including upgrades from older software.

If you look at the various CC plans available, the new choice reads: “Annual plan, prepaid – One convenient payment with no monthly billing.”  So anyone can get this arrangement going forward, including for the popular $9.99 Photoshop/Photography Plan – and the total cost will be the same or less than the standard CC payment options:

Direct Download Links for Adobe Photoshop/Premiere Elements 13

September 24th, 2014 73 comments

[UPDATE (October 2017) – These still work to download the old Elements 13 trials. We also now have the new Elements 2018 Direct Download Links!]

In keeping with our custom of publishing the direct download links for major Adobe products such as Creative Cloud, CS6, Lightroom 6/CC, and Acrobat DC, below you’ll find the direct links from Adobe’s servers for the free trials of the new releases of Photoshop Elements 13 and Premiere Elements 13, for both Windows and Mac OS.

Direct Download Links for Adobe Elements 13 - Get It Now

These links go to the authentic and secure files residing on Adobe’s servers, are guaranteed genuine, safe, legal, and will not change. They are especially useful when you are unable to download Adobe’s free trials via other means – often due to difficulties with the Adobe Download Assistant or Akamai Download Manager…

With the links provided below, you can use your own browser’s download capability (without DLM), or another download manager of your choice.

For setting up PSE 13 and/or PRE 13 on Windows, each program consists of two downloaded files: an .exe and a 7-Zip file (.7z). The .exe file will only work (and install) once the .7z file is fully downloaded and resides in the same folder. For the Mac, it’s just a single .dmg file for each program.

In order to properly run Photoshop & Premiere Elements 13, your computer must meet Adobe’s minimum system requirements for the products. See below for what’s new & different in this release.

June 10th, 2014 4 comments

One of the coolest features added in the recent Adobe CC release is the brand new Camera Shake Reduction tool in Photoshop CC… It’s a new filter that will analyze your photos to detect and correct blurring due to a shaky camera. It’s gotten a lot of attention and justifiably so, as it can make a real difference in saving treasured or irreplaceable photos that might otherwise be lost or unrepairable.

Creative Cloud (CC) or Adobe CS6 – Which Should You Buy?

March 14th, 2014 295 comments

[UPDATE (Jan. 2017) – Adobe just stopped selling CS6 entirely – here’s why.]

When Creative Suite 6 arrived in 2012, there came with it a new way to buy Adobe software that the world had not seen before: the Creative Cloud.  Traditionally, most Adobe products had only been sold with “perpetual” licensing that doesn’t expire. The flip side is that these best-in-class tools often come with a steep price tag that is out of reach for many folks – though there have always been substantial discounts when upgrading from recent older releases, plus much lower pricing for some market segments like students and teachers

Trying to Decide Between? Read the Reviews Creative Cloud Has Been Getting from Customers

When Creative Cloud first entered the scene, there was (and still is) some uncertainty about what it meant and where it was going… But despite that skepticism, the Cloud has since gained strong adoption to become the company’s dominant product line with most customers choosing it over CS6, which Adobe still continues to sell for people who want it.  With Creative Cloud you receive the newer “CC” release that succeeds CS6 as the latest and greatest toolset, and generally gets high ratings from users.

Related: Compare Features – What’s New in Adobe CC vs. CS6?

Adobe CC is available only via a subscription model which, yes, is cloud-based in some ways – but the name has been called confusing and misconceptions abound because in fact the major applications are not online or web-based, but still run locally on your computer as before.  What’s more, the company has been clear that powerful tools like Photoshop may add some online capabilities but will never run completely in the cloud.
