¿Extra Content?
Only fonts and readme PDFs.
Hi, thank you for your comment. What’s contained in the Adobe CS5.5 Additional Content depends on the product… Here is the functional breakdown:
CS5.5 suite editions: Documentation and dozens of fonts.
InDesign CS5.5: Extra fonts.
Illustrator CS5.5: Extra fonts.
Fireworks CS5: Fonts, sample .PNG files, and a tutorial.
After Effects CS5.5: Sample projects, templates (DVD menus, intros, covers, info pages, etc.) and footage.
Premiere Pro CS5.5 (including Encore): Media assets, templates, menus, etc.
In any event, it’s both optional and free. Hope this helps!
Thanks! I think that in the package “CS5.5 Master Collection & Production Premium Extra Content” includes all.
You’re welcome! But actually the packages don’t include each other… Just look at the sizes – the Functional Content files for the two video products (AE and PP) are much larger than the rest – and they each contain different things.
So your best bet is to download the content for each product you’re interested in. Good luck and enjoy it!
hey thanks a lot for these files, I still wonder why adobe doesn’t provide the direct links…
also, why is the Master Collection always smaller than the Production Premium?
Greetings downranger, thank for your your kind words and comments. Yes, Master Collection contains all of the CS5.5 products – more than Production Premium. So why is the download smaller? That’s a good question actually!
The reason is because Production Premium has more languages bundled into one package, whereas Master Collection has different packages for different language sets.
In other words, the link for PP is the same for all languages above (“LS7”), but MC has different file links for differing language groups (“LS1” and “LS4”). So the PP download is bigger because it includes all possible language localizations… It’s unclear why Adobe does it this way for related products, but that’s just the way it is.
Regardless, if you want all of the CS5.5 applications, Master Collection is still the one. Hope this helps!
After three days and three tries with the Adobe Download Assistant, I get this response when I try to access the direct link:
Access Denied
You don’t have permission to access “…/ProductionPremium_CS5_5_LS7.dmg” on this server.

Hmmm???
Welcome Steve, just tested CS5.5 Production Premium for Mac again on this end and it downloads OK… Have you carefully followed the instructions above? That’s the kind of thing that will happen if Adobe doesn’t recognize you as being logged in (which sets their session cookie on your browser).
Hey thanks for the reply…
though I wonder why I can’t download the trials any trials anymore…
and this is the error message I get…
“Access Denied
You don’t have permission to access “…/Contribute_6_LS1.exe” on this server.

Hello again downranger, you’re the second person to report a similar message so there may have been some temporary issue with the downloads on Adobe’s end (upgrades or maintenance), but current testing indicates that all seems well now… Just post back if you have any further difficulties – thanks!
hi,
i wanna firstly to thank u for your effort.
i have a problem here i had installed cs5 production premium on my computer but i cant make it unzip – i have downloaded adobe advisor which told me here is a problem with validate certificate. u should know that i have 64x pc and also cs5.5 master collection. i hope that u could help. i had play with pc time with no effect :(
Hi AMR, your comment isn’t completely clear, but you shouldn’t need to do any unzipping or extraction yourself – that is all handled by the Adobe .exe file.
If there’s a problem with your file, then try downloading again with a different browser, computer, or Internet connection (avoid Wi-Fi or wireless).
Because some of these files are quite large, it’s not always foolproof to download the software correctly – so an alternative is just ordering Adobe’s trial DVDs to be delivered to you by mail instead.
thanks a million for your interest to help me
but i had downloaded complete files with Firefox wireless and the problem was with the adobe exe file (certificate problem)
(^^)
Yeah, I had followed the instructions (and was logged in). I tried again later (following same steps), and the download worked, so it may have been a temporary server or other internet problem, as you suggested in another post. Sorry for expressing my frustration in my first post. I had just completely had it with the Adobe Download Assistant. I never had any problems in the past, using direct links and the Speed Download app on my MacbookPro. I didn’t know that the direct links could still able be accessed and thought I had to use the Download Assistant, which just doesn’t seem to work with my combination of computer and DSL.
I had recently downloaded an even bigger app I purchased from another vendor, using Speed Download with no problems. That made it more frustrating when I couldn’t find a direct link on the trial software download pages and kept using the Download Assistant, only to have it either continually stop downloading or, in the one case downloading completed, to have a corrupted file that wouldn’t install. I know that for most people Adobe Download Assistant may be the easiest way to get the files, but I hope they don’t decide to do away with the direct links. BTW, I found the links via a Google search, rather than from within the CS5.5 pages. Thanks again for responding.
Sure Steve, thanks for following up to let us know how it turned out… Glad it worked for you and you finally for the trial software you wanted in the end!
Thanks for the download links. If anybody is looking for the retail box version of Adobe Creative Suite CS5.5 instead of the download, you can buy the box and then convert your installed trial into permanent just by entering the serial number from the disc case.
Hi, thanks for the links. Why is the Production Premium file size (6.9GB) larger than the Master Collection (5.1GB). Thanks in advance.
Hey there M, thanks for your question… For the answer, please see this earlier comment – thanks!
thank you for this! i’ve been looking for these ddl trial links since 5.5 came out. just follow the instructions above, and for those people having trouble downloading this, just download the adobe download assistant and log in.
do you have additional content for cs4? like master collection (mac)… please post some links – thanks in advance.
Great Philip, you’re welcome and thanks for the feedback…
Yes, we have the direct download links for all major Adobe products, including the Extra Content. See our Adobe DDL page.
It worked!! Thanks a million!
Hey, I want to get CS5.5 Master Collection suite, do i have to download both File 1 and File 2, or do i just get either?
Hi Swison, the answer is both! The first one (the Windows .exe) will extract the contents of the second one (the .7z archive, much bigger).
Note that some other CS5.5 product trials here only have a single file (File 1), which means everything is self-contained, and you wouldn’t need the second file in those other cases.
For Mac OS, it’s always just a single .dmg file, no matter which product download you choose.
Fail.

Hello Preston, please carefully follow the download instructions in the article above… thanks.
The direct links for Mac versions of Design Premium and Web Premium don’t work. Those were the only two I tried, so others may not work as well.
Never mind, I missed your last reply.
Thank you for posting this entry! I had the dilemma of having to install yet another download manager just to download the Dreamweaver CS5.5 trial but this post helped me NOT download Adobe’s Download Assistant any more.
Many thanks! :)
Our pleasure Shedo, thank you for the kind words! Enjoy the new software and new features in CS5.5.
Hi, i am having trouble downloading Adobe Flash CS5 Professional – please can you email me the files… if you need my email please let me know, thanks in advance.
Regards Abdul
No I’m sorry Abdul, we can’t do that – we can only present the links for the official and authentic CS5 trial downloads, direct from Adobe’s servers above…
If you are having troubles, please read through the article and instructions and comments above, including this 8-step troubleshooting list – thanks.
Your illustrator file doesn’t include any tools. It’s illustrator. What the hell am I suppose to do without tools? With indesign you have to download the extra file content to access everything. I did the same with illustrator, but no tools. Why?
Hi Kyle, not really sure what you’re referring to. Illustrator is the tool. If there’s additional content available for any product, it’s also listed on this page – but it’s not tools.
In other words, everything that available from Adobe for Creative Suite 5.5 is directly-linked for download from this page. There’s nothing missing that’s normally provided. Good luck to you.
After the install is complete, is it ok to delete the .7z archive afterwards?
Yes Ryan, it’s okay if you want to – but on the other hand, that’s the complete archive of your trial installation and a good back-up if you eventually purchase the product… If for example you change computers or your hard disk crashes down the road, it will be very handy to have it.
In any event, after installation is completed, the files you downloaded here can either be removed or moved somewhere else offline (CD/DVD) for backup.

Hey there kipsbti, please carefully step through the download instructions given in the article above… thanks.
hi, as i said elsewhere, the cs5.5 master collection, once extracted to 50% it stops and says you need more space, and privileges to the folder, but i have 63 gigs free space, but i do not know about the folder.
i’m running windows 7 home premium, please help, thanks. :)
Hello Josh, sometimes that happens with Adobe products if where you are installing it to is not the same as the disk where you downloaded the files to…
Try moving your download files to the same disk where you’d like to install the software to, and see if that helps – thanks.
@ProDesignTools
ive done that but it keeps giving me that message D:
Josh, make sure you are installing with administrator privileges (right click the .exe file you downloaded and choose “Run as Administrator…”).
See also this guide to Installation and launch errors for Creative Suite 5, CS5.5.
Based on the discussion in this forum thread, it also may be that you have corrupted download file(s).
If even after all that you nonetheless have the same problem, please post the exact error message – thanks.
links seem dead or blocked
No, just please carefully follow the download instructions in the article above to get the CS5.5 trials.
Hi there,
I’m wanting to download the CS5.5 Master Collection but see that although the description says its a 5gig file, there is a link that also takes you to a further 9gig file (the second ‘file 2’ link in the table row). What’s the difference and should I download either one of the two or both of them?
Thanks in advance :)
Hi Sarah, if you look at the column headers up top, you’ll see that second set of Windows files is for Western Europe – and is so big because it includes many different languages bundled within…
If you just want CS5.5 in English, then use the first set of 2 files for Windows, or the 1 file towards the right side for Mac – thanks.
