  1. @ ProDesignTools

Thanks for the tip about the PC (Running Windows 7 Pro) sometimes downloading File 1 as a text file and you have to rename it back to an “.exe” – that is what happened to me. All sorted now.

Thanks for the links – I lost my disk and this is the only place I found to download. I wish I could afford the upgrade to CS6!

  2. Hi, I downloaded Adobe Photoshop, but it appears as an Internet shortcut, like it gives me this option of, ‘what do you want to view this’ – like the computer can’t recognize what it is…… Please help me

  3. Hi, I’m trying to download the CS 5.0 trials but am getting an Access Denied page. Can you help with that, please?

    Thanks!

  4. Thanks! I’ve downloaded from here a while back, but don’t remember going through the sign in process. I should’ve read through the instructions… Errr…

  5. I am reinstalling the CS5 Design Standard and I’m on Windows 8. It took me awhile to get everything figured out since Windows 8 is so crazy. I had to download an “app” called mZip to extract all the files from the CS5 Design Standard download. This step (extracting) is taking forever. After a couple hours of extracting I checked my apps and noticed that my programs were starting to appear. The only thing I am missing is PhotoShop. I keep checking up on the progress of the extracting files and the progress is really slow. Is it supposed to take this long? And will I eventually obtain the Photoshop program after this is finally done? I’ve had the mZip extracting files for about 10 hours now and it’s only like 1/12 of the way through. I must be doing something right though b/c like I previously stated, my other CS5 files are appearing. Thank you for all your help in advance!

    • Hello Kassie, don’t know about that program, never used it so can’t comment – but it is definitely not normal to take so long unpacking the archive.

Please note that you do not need any external utility to unzip/extract any of these CS5 files… The .exe file that comes together (see File 1 and File 2) above will take care of all of that for you.

  6. Hi! I’m trying to download InDesign as a trial but I keep getting a message saying that it isn’t licensed probably and then it quits out. I’ve tried reinstalling and such but I get the same error.

  7. “Adobe InDesign is not properly licensed and will now quit.”

That’s all it says in a pop up message after it opens and I select trial version.

  8. Hello! I was wondering, if I download the free trial, could I use my serial number from my full version to upgrade it for me? I have lost my disc and I am desperately trying to transfer the program to my new computer. Adobe has told me I need to wait till Monday before they can talk me through the transfer of installation files. I am hoping this will be a good alternative for me.

  9. Hello, I had the same problem as Sabrina – I have downloaded file 1 and 2 of the Design Standard CS5, but I had to unzip file 2 and I can not seem to find a program to even go with file 1.

I am on the new Windows (horrible) and I downloaded a trial or started to of CS6 so that I could get the Akamai Download Manager but what downloaded was Adobe Download Assistant – is that the same thing?

And I tried the link that is at the top but said it was no longer there. I am a whole lot of lost.

    • Hi Shelley, you shouldn’t have to do anything with File 2, ever.

But it sounds like the extension of your File 1 might have gotten dropped by your browser (probably Internet Explorer). If so, just rename it back to add an “.exe” at the end, and then run it to begin the procedure for installation.

On your second question, these direct links get the original CS5 trials without using either the Akamai Download Manager or the Adobe Download Assistant – they’re not the same thing but you don’t need either of those to download or install these files.

  10. I have tried to follow the instructions to load CS5 Master Collection on a new computer, and I get a message that says:

“The file archive part of Adobe CS5 Master Collection is missing. You need all parts in the same folder in order to extract Adobe CS5 Master Collection. Please download all parts.

    What parts? And from where

  11. You – are – Godsends! Lost one of the discs from the set of a purchased and licensed CS5 Production Premium recently. When I contacted Adobe they told me there was nothing I could do but purchase the latest version, as they could not offer me an ISO of the lost DVD or download. None of my friends had the same set I had. Kudo points to you today again.

    • Sure Ahmed, glad to help out and thank you for your very kind offer! Our website is free for all users, but since you use Adobe products the most helpful thing you can do is bookmark and/or subscribe (see the box in the upper right corner), come back and visit, and spread the word!

  12. I have followed the directions above and when I download CS5 Master Collection, I was lucky enough to lose my disk when I moved, it tells me the file is corrupt. What to I do? File 1 is downloaded, but file 2 will not download. Suggestions please?

  13. When I try to download the files I get an “Access Denied” message. I downloaded one of the files yesterday, the .exe, the .7z was interrupted. Anything I can do to sort this out?

    • Yes, it sounds like you may have gotten ‘locked out’ from Adobe’s servers, which happens to folks from time to time – so the best thing to do is actually wait a bit, or try the suggestions given in the previous comment.

    • Well from what some visitors have said here in the past, maybe up to a day or two… Nobody has ever been sure why it happens, except that it usually follows an aborted download for some reason. In addition to waiting, sometimes trying a different browser/computer and/or a new Adobe ID can solve it.
