Trying to download CS5 Master Collection (I have the S/N and disks but my Mac doesn’t have a CD drive), and it says ‘access denied,’ any tips?
Yes Sam, make sure you’re carefully following the download instructions given near the top of this page. If no luck, then try a different browser, computer, or Internet connection (cabled, not Wi-Fi).
Also check out this list of download tips if you’re stuck. These are large files so do sometimes take a few attempts to get full and intact.
Hello! I downloaded the files on my Windows 7 laptop, but the second file which should be 7zip downloaded as a text file. I can’t figure out how to change the extension so that the exe file will recognize the zip file. Help?
Hey Sarah, sometimes your web browser will drop the filename extension, particularly if you’re trying to use Internet Explorer… But if you have control or permissions over the files, you just have to add it back (either “.exe” or .”7z”). Not sure why you’d be unable to rename files that you yourself downloaded, we’ve never heard of that before.
Hi All!
I tried downloading the Creative Suite Master Collection onto my macbook air (OSX), but after I downloaded it and tried opening it, it said that the disk image could not be opened because it was not recognized. Has this happened before? I downloaded Indesign just fine, and this will work in the short term because it is the application is use the most out of the whole creative suite, but for the future do you know how I can acquire the entire suite? Many thanks!

Just in case anyone else has this issue – I had to show the file extensions by following: Organize > Folder & Search Options > “View” tab > uncheck “Hide extensions for known file types”
I could then change the file extension to .7z
:-)

Does this still work? I followed the instructions as best I could. I have an adobe id. When I login it asks me if I want to try Adobe Creative Cloud instead of CS6. I get the access denied when trying to get the direct links.
i cannot download, it asks me to download the adobe application manager
Unfortunately, these links just won’t work for everyone. I’ve tried Windows and Mac OS on two computers, with commercial grade internet directly plugin, while meticulously following all tips and suggestions. It still gives me an ‘access denied’ message.
It is crazy that no matter what I did, it always just shows Access Denied.

The download links above to the CS5 free trials above all continue to work fine – we just tested them again.
Make sure you are carefully following the download directions given at the top of this page… Clicking on the link given in Step 1 is critical.
If you have any issues, try with a different browser, computer, or Internet connection (avoid Wi-Fi).
Occasionally Adobe’s servers can lock people out, especially after an aborted download… If so, then wait a while (like the next day) before trying again.

If you’ve successfully downloaded the software but are getting messages on the installation, try googling the error message that you’re getting.

HAHA This really sucks! I can only download 2.5GB of data before the session expires… SO I cannot finish the download! HAHA This made my day dear Adobe engineers!
It’s definitely not their fault. We and countless others have downloaded all of these files successfully, and they continue to work perfectly on our end… There’s various parts to a successful download, so try something different on your end.
Well I firstly tried with Chrome and it stopped at 2.5GB, then Firefox with the same results… I also tried with Orbit downloader but it wouldn’t even start the download because the cookie couldn’t be obtained.
Not sure what to say. Try a different Internet connection, and definitely don’t use Wi-Fi. Someone in the office just tested CS5 Design Premium for you, and all 2.8 GB downloaded smoothly in 14 minutes over a high-speed cabled connection.

BTW I’ve got a 10Mbps WiMax connection and the average speed is 1.2 to 1.3 MB/s without too much swing.
I was trying to download the Master Collection Western Europe File 2 (the 7z one) which the browser said was 7.3GB big, while the article says 4.5GB.
This night I’m gonna try with Free Download Manager.
Yes, there’s only one file size listed, for the English versions… The European versions are larger because of all the additional language support built into the installers. But they all still come and download from the same place on Adobe’s servers, regardless of size.

No way! I cannot share the cookie between the browser which stored it and the file manager which has to do the download!
I would just like if someone mirrored these files on a different server (it shouldn’t be illegal, they are trials)…
No can do – it’s against Adobe’s policy to host their property (files) anywhere else but their own servers, sorry…
It’s also a really bad idea to trust downloading Adobe software anywhere else but direct from them.

I’m trying to download Adobe Creative Suite CS5 Premium for Mac OS. I tried Safari and Mozilla both using Wifi and then trying with WIred internet (Ethernet) I keep getting this message
“Access Denied

My download of CS5 Master Collection for Mac kept getting interrupted and would not allow a restart. Now when I click the link, I get an access denied error message that says I am not authorized to download from the server. Any thoughts or ideas? I cleared the browser history and erased all the cookies.

hi, i’ve done everything you said but when i try to install adobe cs5 premium, this pops up “‘Install’ Can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer”

Not sure Andi – did you try the standalone Acrobat 9 direct download links as well? (scroll down that page)
The version on this page is tied with the Creative Suite, so if you have a separate release then that might explain it.
