The reason I ask is because I tried downloading 5.5 and it didn’t work – how do I download the above links? When i click on CS5 Master Collection and do File 1 it gives me a code saying i have to download the entire suite? It says the archive part is missing?
You need to download both File 1 and File 2 (where available) for the product trial you want. Just follow the download instructions in the article above and you should be fine.
It gives me “Adobe After Effects CS5 can only be installed on a 64-bit computer.” I downloaded the Western European files. Should I download the English files? Thanks anyway
Hey there Jero, it’s true – After Effects CS5 and Premiere Pro CS5 both require a 64-bit system… and that is true for all languages.
so what should i do, i need adobe after effects and i cant download it with the ADA… i need a older version but where can i find it?
No problem. After Effects CS4 and Premiere Pro CS4 will run fine on 32-bit machines. And in fact you can still buy both of these products from Adobe actually – see how to get them as part of a complete suite or alternatively as standalone applications…
If you need the trial, all of the original CS4 trials are still available for download as well.

I have a licensed version of CS5 Design Premium Windows. Upgraded to Windows 7.
CS5 doesn’t work. Disk is broken.
Adobe is no help. I got the same runaround from Adobe as other people.
After a couple rounds with Adobe customer support and escalation to a supervisor, a gentleman from India, he actually told me to search Adobe Support Forums and look for others with the same problem. So I found your site. I see the links to the installers but access is restricted…
Well good news Don – you’re in the right place, and hopefully we can help you restore your software… All the authentic trials are linked here and can be activated with your purchased serial number. So first off, did you carefully follow the download instructions in the article?
If you did, but are still having issues accessing Adobe’s download servers, then check through this list of suggestions to try.

I have put both the files in the same folder (Windows 7). The installer still gives a file corrupt window. Downloaded the two files from the Windows English category. Adobe Illustrator CS5 (1.3 gb)
Sorry you’re having difficulties Ashish. All these files are definitely good, so if you were getting a “corrupt” message then it’s something else… Sometimes large downloads don’t come across right and you have to try again. If repeated attempts don’t work then you might try a different browser, computer, or Internet connection (no Wi-Fi). If still no luck, try reading through previous comments above for other ideas.
I have downloaded the right parts but still getting error installing . The prompt says all parts are required for installation. I have the two parts in the same folder but it doesn’t seem to work. please help….

I click the CS5 link (Mac, England) and all I get is an error message:

Hey there, glad to hear you read and followed the tips. Usually trying a different browser, computer, and/or Internet connection will take care of it. Also clearing your browser cache and cookies, and making sure you’re not blocking cookies or sites etc.
But since the CS6 trials were released, Adobe’s download servers have been very busy and giving some people errors like that. The best advice is to wait a little while and then try again later, carefully following the instructions and tips again… Good luck!
I successfully downloaded Adobe After Effects CS5 trial, but when I open the installer, all it does is open the initializing installer, but does not open another window to install Adobe After Effects CS5.
Greetings Dan – the first step (running the .exe you downloaded) just extracts all the files into a new folder, you then have to install the software from there.
So look for an Adobe directory on your Desktop… there are ReadMe and Setup.exe files within that directory.
Just read the ReadMe file and/or run the Setup file and you should be set – that will install the trial program onto your system.
I have done what you said, but seems to not work. I get this message every time “Installer has detected that a machine restart may be pending. It is recommended that you quit the installer, restart and try again.” I simply click “Ignore and continue” and let the initializing installer continue, but after that another window does not open. I’ve done that numerous times and does not work. Any solutions to that problem? Also, I have checked my windows registry to delete the InProgress key, but it is not there.

If you check this Forum thread on that message, the Community Pro says it’s actually not an Adobe issue.
We just misplaced our licensed copy of CS5 during a recent office move and I have been trying to locate software for it. My license serial codes are on Adobe’s site and still valid. Since we are non-profit, I am avoiding any new purchases if possible, so this really helped. Thank you!

1: go to the adobe site,
2: log in & click download on any CS6 product to get the cookie in your browser, THEN you can download the links above.
This just drove me nuts for ages
So I have been going crazy for the past couple days. I have a CS5 Master Collection license but I lost the CD. So I’m trying to install the trial and upgrade from there.
That being said I created an Adobe account and kept it open within the same browser for the authentication cookie and downloaded the “File 1” under the Mac column for English. Everything starts off fine and downloads but it gets to 2 GB (out of something like 5.6) and stops completely. I have tried it multiple times now over multiple browsers and I get the same thing. When I try and open the file it is of course unreadable.
I originally thought there may be something on my end preventing me from downloading files larger than 2GB but I then realized that this is impossible as I download other such files which are much larger than 2GB.
Anyone else having this same problem where there 5.6GB download stops almost exactly at the 2GB mark?
Hmm, we haven’t heard of it David, so it’s strange and unusual – but you might try this list of download tips and see if that helps!
Thanks for the response. Unfortunately I have already scoured through your site and found the list of download tips. I rarely end up caving in and submitting questions but after trying basically everything on that list (under the assumption that something is set up differently on your end) I have run out of ideas.
This program was pretty expensive and my employer does not have the time to order another CD from Adobe. I noticed that when the files are being downloaded they pass through a check with Adobe, but does that mean you have direct ownership (and I use this term loosely) of the file on your own servers? If this is the case, would you be willing to compress the file and send it via Dropbox or something similar?
I’m open to any suggestions on how to get this working.
Hello again David, your situation is not unusual and we get a lot of visitors who don’t have access to their original discs any longer for various reasons. As mentioned in the article above, the downloads are all pulled from Adobe’s servers, not ours – these are a complete collection of direct links to them… They are the genuine, authentic, and original CS5 trials – and it is actually not allowed by Adobe to copy and/or redistribute these files in any other way.
However, that being said, their download servers can be temperamental – working for you one hour, then denying you the next… Nobody can explain it, and it even happens to us occasionally. And if we could figure out why it didn’t work sometimes, we would have a lot fewer comments here. But basically, you just have to keep trying, usually after waiting a bit later – and then starting over again with the instructions, and/or trying a different browser or computer. Eventually after some time, you’ll get it to work, like all before you have.
By the way, all of Adobe’s installation packages are already compressed into file archives and as small as they can be. Good luck!
Hi Prodesign, thanks for making these links available, same situation, lost the disks but I have the registered serial number under my name for Adobe Web Premium in Adobe, I downloaded the software and it installed as trial as it would not let me me install after entering my serial number without giving another serial number for another qualifying product that I must own, in this instance Acrobat. Did I do something wrong? I cannot move forward, only as a trial. Thank you in advance.
Hi James, you must have purchased an upgrade version… Each serial number is coded with its type, and what’s needed to activate it. These trials wouldn’t ask you for a second serial number unless that was required when you originally purchased the software. Do you still have access to the license key of the prior product?

I am in the same situation only I want to download the PC version. The English CS5 Design standard does a similar thing. It lets you think it has downloaded but when you install, it errors. This is because it should be about 6gig not 2gig. The European version is 6gig but not in English or using the same licence.
I have tried multiple times thinking I could get it correct but it’s always 2gig even from Chrome.
Shame but true. I’ll try again next week but I’m not hopeful. If the link is broke, it’s broke.
Hey there Steve, the links are not broken – Adobe maintains them for customers who have previously purchased the download versions of older products, and many visitors here use them with success every week… plus we test them often and it’s rare we see comments with unresolvable problems.
Try a different browser, computer, or better/faster/stronger Internet connection (no Wi-Fi), or possibly use your own local download manager to recover from interruptions. It is true the downloads can be inconsistent – so if still no luck, wait a while as you’re doing and try again later.
When I tried to download CS5 Design Standard, it gives me this message:
“The file archive part of Adobe CS5 design standard is missing. You need all parts in the same folder in order to extract Adobe CS5 design standard. Please download all parts.”
I downloaded both files, one .exe and one .txt. It didn’t download as a .7z as I think it should have been. Anyone else run into this?

I manually changed the file ext from .txt to .7z and it works!

does the installer actually work? I have tried downloading from multiple browsers and different Win OS but I always get the same result; Installation Errors – Exit Code: 20. I was thinking the zip file I downloaded is corrupt as the English version is 2gig when the European version, which works for me is 6gig, but if you get it to work and have just downloaded it maybe I’ll try again for the 10th time.
