  1. I recently signed up for the free newsletter, and was promised the chance of free books on download. But I have not been able to download these books.

I received your e-mail, telling me to download as many books as I want. BUT on each try to get a book, I end up getting a request for a subscription. That, to me, means paying!!

Where or how do I get a free book download?

    • No David, there’s no request for subscription and there’s absolutely no paying involved… ALL of the books here are completely free, and cover different versions of all major Adobe products. With the links we send you, you can legally download and use as many of the books as you want without cost.

We suspect you may be interpreting the need to log in with your Adobe ID as signing up for a subscription. But they are not the same.

As mentioned in the offer above, a standard, free Adobe ID is required to download some of the books. That’s all. But it’s totally free and just takes a minute to get.

    • PS – Wasn’t sure from your comment, but wanted to add that if you have any other issues then try using a different web browser, or another computer…

Also make sure you’re not blocking or filtering anything with your browsers (like cookies, downloads, or any sites or URLs), or are running any utilities that might restrict your web surfing (like Ghostery or AdBlock). Or possibly check your firewall, antivirus program (esp. Kaspersky), or other third-party security software.

Most people have no problem at all, but occasionally some folks have difficulty accessing the books because of over-aggressive software or utilities like these. Adobe recommends temporarily turning those things off for downloads.

Finally, you can also download the book PDFs for mobile usage and reading with a tablet/iPad or smartphone/iPhone, and share them back to your desktop using Dropbox, Box, or Creative Cloud online storage.

    • Hey there Nahlah, thanks for your question. The Creative Cloud for Individuals is available in 94 countries now worldwide, though Pakistan is not yet one of them… Adobe has said many times their intention is to offer the Creative Cloud as widely as possible, so we hope to see Pakistan and other geographies added soon.

In the meantime, if you have questions or would like to give your input directly to Adobe themselves then just get in touch with their Customer Support.

  2. To whom this question may concern,

I am wondering if Adobe offers these books VIA pdf or they just e-books format?

I am already a registered adobe cloud member, and likewise receive your newsletter of which is where I read about this offer.

HOPEFULLY adobe recognizes that there are STILL adobe users out here that DO NOT use the e-book format BUT never-the-less would like the same option of adding to their knowledge base.

I will respectfully wait your reply.

    • Hello Bill,

All of these books are in PDF form and so should be viewable with Adobe Reader – but if you’re having trouble seeing any book in your web browser then you can right-click your mouse on the ebook link and choose “Save link as” instead. That will save the PDF onto your hard disk (where you can open it separately) instead of trying to load it into your browser.

      Hope that helps!

  3. I seem to be going in circles. To get the over 20 free ebooks, I’m instructed to enter my email address in a field and click on “Yes, send me the books now.” However when I do that, I get sent right back to the same page, and no books appear in my download box. What am I doing wrong?

  4. I used to do PhotoShop in Boston.

Now I am lost in space in this “new but old place.”

    Thanks,

  5. I have the pdf version of your 95-page Photoshop Elements book. It is excellent. Is it possible to purchase a hard copy? If so, what is the cost including delivery. Thank you.

    • Welcome David, thanks! And that’s a great idea.

We don’t offer hardcopy versions of the books here, but you should easily be able to get paper copy printed of any of these PDF ebooks using a print-on-demand service like The Book Patch for as little as $4 for one paperback copy of a 100-page book… Of course, they’re happy to do any quantity (no minimum order) or any number of pages – and it looks like they have no setup or hidden fees and a fast 3-5 day turnaround.

      Hope that helps!

    • Hi guys, sorry to hear you’re having difficulties with the free Adobe books… What one(s) are you referring to? Importantly, did you try it with a different web browser, or using another computer or device?

Typically when someone has problems accessing the books, it’s because of an issue with the browser being used, or because there is something running on the desktop system that is restricting the web content.

Are you blocking or filtering anything with your browser(s) – like cookies, downloads, or any sites or URLs? Adobe recommends turning those things off…

Or are you running any utilities that might restrict your web surfing – like Ghostery, AdBlock, or Disconnect? Or possibly your firewall, antivirus program (esp. Kaspersky), or other third-party security software?

Occasionally some folks have difficulty accessing the books but usually it’s because of over-aggressive software or utilities like these. We suggest temporarily turning off anything that might be interfering, -and/or- trying it with a different web browser or another computer.

An alternative would be to try downloading the book PDF’s for mobile usage and reading with a tablet/iPad or smartphone/iPhone… That would avoid any issues with the desktop and then you could then share the books back to your computer using Dropbox, Box, or Creative Cloud online storage.

      Hope that helps!
