I am trying to install CS3 Design Premium, but I only need the InDesign component (I actually have the serial #, but had lost my disks.) Once it starts downloading, I get a message that says “Please insert Adobe InDesign CS4 to continue installation.” I’m trying to install CS3 so I’m not sure why it wants CS4? Thanks for any help.
Yes Brit, that can happen sometimes… It must be that you’ve had a CS4 product installed on the same computer at one time.

I downloaded the English trial version of Photoshop CS4 for Mac yesterday and it worked well. Today I am trying to download Illustrator but I am getting this when I click on the link:
HTTP ERROR: 404 /support/downloads/dlm/main.jsp
Is this link not working any more? am I doing something wrong?

Hi Alexis, the links are still working but you may have gotten locked out of Adobe’s servers for a while, which happens occasionally to some folks… Make sure you’re carefully following the download instructions given at the top of this page, and try a different browser, computer, or Internet connection – or try just waiting a while and everything should work again.
There’s nothing you did wrong and no reason as to why this happens, but it does from time to time.
Hi, I’m trying to download Adobe Flash Pro CS4 because I have an animation project to do. I have the trial of CS6 but the computers where I have to be present to run the program are CS4, so I have to download it from here. I’m having a lot of trouble with this, so if anyone can give me simple step by step instructions for Windows English that would be fantastic.

I downloaded the 2 files that I needed to, I just don’t know what do after that. I’m really bad at this kind of stuff, sorry!
Make sure those two files are in the same place on your disk. Then just run (double-click) the .exe file you downloaded. That will unpack some installation files to a new directory that’s created on your computer Desktop.
Look for the set-up.exe file within that directory and run that file to begin the application process, then just follow any onscreen directions to finish.
When I open the file that says “set up” it brings me to a pop up of Adobe Flash CS4 and says “Welcome” and under that it says “Cannot Install. Please Click the Quit Button.” and there’s a bulleted unhighlighted list of things I did not install with buttons under that say “Quit” or “Next” but I am not allowed to click the next button. What do I do?

I have successfully downloaded CS4 for mac, have a licence but my problem seems to be a little different. About halfway through the load of the DMG, I get a ‘file corrupt’ crash. I have tried a couple of different CS4 Versions and it happens on both. Anyone else have this happen?
Sorry Jason, we’ve not heard of that happening before… Are you trying to download these large files over Wi-Fi perhaps? Try a different browser, computer, or faster/cabled Internet connection.

I think it was like you said, it comes and goes. so i managed to download the files when it came and it took me almost 6 hours. but now that i unpacked the zipped files, there is an error reading from file and it gives me the path of the file and asks me to verify that the file exists and that i can access it. it never was the case before that i had to do it manually, so do you have any idea what that is?

That is the exact message.
OK – for that message, you might try the suggestions given in this Adobe Help Forum.
It doesn’t seem to be working- I downloaded the three parts of the Indesign CS4, and clicked run. It asks to go into a folder… and then nothing happens

Thank you for the link but actually after a long night I figured out what I was doing wrong. I will explain in case someone has been going through the same thing.
I installed two files 1,2 – one of them is zipped and what I was doing is opening the zipped file and selecting something with a setup title and pressing it but this was wrong. I needed to unzip the whole file first, then the data would be organized outside the zipped file and the setup would be read. Then it was easy to press the 1st file, then it read set up from the unzipped file and CS4 has finally opened its gates.

I have downloaded the Photoshop CS4 program files, they do not work. They in fact do nothing. When the CS4 file is opened there are two files, Photoshop and Photoshop Content. When the “Photoshop” file is opened there are three PDFs and the file “Photoshop”, which when opened has four files, “deployment”, “extensions”, “payloads”, “redist”, and “resources”, plus “winbootstrapper installer package”, winbootstrapper1″ and “setup”. I have opened setup and get a momentary hourglass then nothing! I have followed the instructions at the top of the page, no luck. I have the original CS4 disc which will open to the point of installing the program, then nothing. I have spoken repeatedly with the Adobe “help” line by phone, they were of course no help, they were however very good at repeating the same thing over and over in response the question, perhaps they do not really speak English?
I have downloaded the special Adobe CS Cleaner Tool, no luck. This program originally worked but began crashing the computer whenever an image was opened from Bridge and eventually would not open files from Photoshop either.
Having already tried using a CS6 trial download which worked fine, I assume that Adobe would prefer that I purchase a new program instead of using the own I now own!
No Jerry, there’s no scheme by Adobe to make your old software stop working… It sounds like something’s messed up on your computer, because you can no longer even install the CS4 disc which used to work fine. And you’ve already run the Adobe Cleaner tool so we can’t suggest that.
We’d recommend searching the Adobe Forums for any symptom or message which sounds similar to what you’re encountering… But frankly, we’ve never heard anything like that before.
Our guess is that something has gone wrong somewhere in your system’s registry, and if you can’t clean or fix that then your only solution may be to reinstall or upgrade your operating system. Sorry, wish we could help more but that’s a very strange and unusual one!
Well, tried downloading it, the instructions didn’t work (downloaded AE CS4), or they didn’t help I mean – and so I ran the setup and it said thanks, and there’s no desktop application, nice…
Check your computer Desktop Joey – you’ll probably find a folder with the installation files there.

Yes Caleb, these original trial versions can be activated permanently by entering your valid purchased serial number from Adobe… and we do get a lot of visitors needing to install disc-based software on new machines that don’t have DVD drives.

Sure Antony, have you carefully followed the download instructions near the top of this page? Have you tried with a different browser, computer, or Internet connection (not Wi-Fi)?

You’re not understanding. We can’t download because we are getting an error ON the download page.
Therefore I can’t follow any instructions to download because I can’t download. :(

I have downloaded the folders and a gray box with green letters says “Initializing Adobe setup.” It runs through the setup, then closes and says “Setup error. Required resources are missing.”
I apologize if this question has already been answered, (I’ve searched through the comments), but do you know what is going wrong here?
