After following all directions to a tee, I still get an error message when I try to download any of the the above links. I’ve been trying to download the software for over two weeks and the furthest I have gotten was getting file one of Adobe Design Standard CS4 to download but then subsequently, file 2 came up as an error. Is there something that I am missing?
Sorry you’re having so much trouble Kelli – what exact error message did you get? Have you tried using a different browser or computer?

I finally got them to download, however now when I try installing them I get the following message: “a problem occurred while downloading the archive. please download design standard cs4 again.”
Kelli, you mean, “… while extracting the archive,” right? If so, check out this previous discussion.

I just downloaded CS4 Standard for my Macbook which is running 10.5.8. So far it’s working great. Photoshop CS4 loads so much faster than CS2!
How can I purchase this version before it expires? I am happy to pay the cost.
I cannot upgrade my operating system or processor in order to run CS6…my computer is too old.
Is it possible to still legally buy CS4?

Yes Rex, the free trial download for that old release is right here above… Just follow the instructions given near the top of the page and you should have no problem.
how long usually it will be? i think i’m downloading it for a day and it end up with nothing
There’s no way for us to say that. In general, it depends the speed of your Internet connection and your computer, plus the size and platform of the product trial(s) you wish to download… These are large files so could take hours on some Internet connections, yet only minutes on others.
Here are some estimated download times to help you gauge the completion depending on the speed of your service.

So it’s this message in German:
“Setup Fehler: Setup hat einen Fehler festgestellt und kann nicht fortgesetzt werden. Fuer weitere Hilfestellung wenden Sie sich bitte an den Kundendienst von Adobe.”
and this message in English:
“Setup Error: Setup has detected an error and can not continue. For further assistance, please contact Adobe Customer Support.”
And hopefully this Adobe Forums support thread will help you figure it out.
The links for CS4 for Mac (English) do not appear to be working :-(
They’re all okay Sam, no problems – just make sure you carefully follow the download directions at the top of this page.
I was also directed to this site where I was told I could download a new version of Photoshop CS4 to replace my copy which no longer works properly. The downloads do not work! You receive a error message which is as follows, HTTP ERROR: 404 /support/downloads/dlm/main.jsp. Obviously I am not the only one with this problem. By the way the tech support I contacted, which it seems is somewhere in India, was of VERY little help. This whole thing looks more like a way to sell CS6 than a way to help customers.

Nebb – we have no control over the procedure needed to access these old CS trials – that’s Adobe’s setup…

Trying to access the download for my CS3 Design Premium, but the link is broken with a message about downloads/dlm.

Hello David, please make sure you are carefully following the download instructions given near the top of this page – they’re essential for success.
When I try to open the file it asks me what do I want to open with? Did I download it properly?
Well it sounds like it may have downloaded properly, but sometimes browsers (especially Internet Explorer) drop the “.exe” filename extension. If so, then it’s easy to fix – just rename it back.
On Windows, most of the programs here have two files: a “.exe” and a “.7z” – so make sure the extensions are correct for all files you downloaded.
When I try to open the downloaded file it asks me what file to open with? Am I doing it wrong. Please help

Hey Joey, sometimes Adobe’s servers are temperamental and if you’re not able to access any more of the links, then sometimes just takes waiting a while (like till the next day or two) will fix it.
I’m getting an error message that says “The file archive part of Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 Content Installer is missing.”

I’ve tried everything under the sun to get a working trial of Premier CS, starting at 6 all the way down to 3. I don’t have the system reqs for CS6 or CS5. For CS4 or CS3, like many others recently on this page, the links simply don’t work.
I’ve tried using different browsers, proxy servers, different systems, all while following the page’s instructions along with the suggestions left by different users in the past. None works, 404 errors everytime.
I just want a trial of CS4 (or CS3). So hard to ask?
Not sure why you’re having so many difficulties Siege – to be sure everything’s okay, we just tested five different links above and they all work perfectly fine on our end… fast and no problems at all.
