When I first heard about Adobe’s new subscription model, I ran the numbers and found that for those who would otherwise stay up to date with Adobe’s CS releases, a Creative Cloud subscription could mean substantial cost savings compared to buying each CS outright.
This would be a fantastic tool to have for school. This would be very useful to have in the summer semester when I take Design & Photoshop in the fall. Studying for an AAS in Web Design.
Very curious to try the Creative Cloud only apps (esp. Muse). Also would love to implement the Touch apps into my workflow, so the cloud option is very appealing. Thanks!
There are indeed some benefits to the Creative Cloud as a package. But for any real video work, the 20 GB of storage in the CC is not even remotely enough. I don’t even try to imagine how long it will take to upload one of my days worth of raw photos and video footage. Just as an example, the last Sunday I had 55 GB of video footage and 10 GB of photos at the end of the day, and delivered to the client around 2 GB of files (selected photos and one preview video).
Hey there Paul, thanks for your thoughts. Adobe does say they’ll be offering additional storage space for purchase later in 2012, and with those kinds of deliverables it will probably depend on your upload speed to see how it integrates into your workflow.
In the meantime if you want to try it out, there is a free level of Creative Cloud membership available for everyone, whether you are a paid subscriber or not – and this free tier includes 2GB of online storage plus all syncing and sharing features.
Would love to win this! I love Photoshop and with the membership I would be able to try other Adobe products that I may not otherwise have access to and see what works for me before deciding if I want to purchase it or just continue with the subscription.
Would love to win this! I like new Photoshop and all new tools and speed of rendering
I would love to win this, as it would really help me out with my pictures and the ability to do other creative work!
I love Photoshop, and now with the addition of Adobe Creative Cloud I can have all the tools at my fingertips wherever I go.. I travel a lot and this gives me the flexibility and freedom to photoshop my photos as I travel the world, I feel the cloud is more reasonable than the upgrades. Thanks Adobe!
Do you have to own the CS6 already for this to work? I’d love to win!
Hi Amber, no – these are full versions and not an upgrade… Learn more here:

I would love to get the number one product out there. Now there’s nothing wrong with some of the other programs like GIMP but come on. If it wasn’t for Photoshop would there really be many of these other products out there?
I love Adobe and all their products, Adobe is always ahead of the game with creativity and edgy technology. The Creative Cloud is brilliant and I would love to win. I also agree with Paul regarding the storage space.
Thanks
Love the ACC sub. Only thing better would be getting it free for a year.

The Creative Cloud gives users access to all of the Adobe Creative Suite programs and keeps it up to date with enhancements between editions of the boxed versions.
I can see the value in subscription, and it certainly gives the opportunity to expand the exposure and usage of applications to those who might not have otherwise given them a go and taken them up.
Last time I was not a winner of the lucky draw of Adobe Creative Suite CS6, I hope this time the cloud.
Looking forward to being able to sync my devices with Creative Cloud so I can work while on the road.
This couldn’t have come at a better time—I’m looking to get myself one of the Creative Suites while I can still take advantage of my student discount, but a year of this free might just be even better. :) Ever since I started looking into Creative Cloud, though, I have wondered: do you know if the “annual subscription fee” (the $50/month as opposed to the $80) can only be paid yearly, only monthly, or is it flexible? I’d assume you’d pay the $600/$360 once per year, but I was never entirely clear on that.
Hi Kyra, thanks for your comments. If you look at the different plans available (including for students), they’re all paid monthly – even if you have an annual contract… It sort of works the same as a cellphone plan.
See our Cloud vs. CS6 Buying Guide to help in your decision… It’s a difficult one as Adobe has some nice back-to-school specials going on right now!
Please count me the great Giveaway program.
It’s a great value for the small business owner to open up the total power of Adobe, at an affordable monthly cost!
