I think I can start utilizing that service :)
This cloud offer would be great for me this year. I’m planning to edit a music video for Christmas, the Adobe suite would be perfect for this!
I have strong concerns about the security of clouds. How do I know my information is truly secure?
Hi JoKing, thanks for your comment. Adobe uses Amazon infrastructure for the Creative Cloud – see more details here:
FAQ: How secure is the storage space on Creative Cloud?
Creative Cloud is an interesting concept. It is definitely value-added. Unfortunately, I’ve already upgraded to CS6. Otherwise, I might have been tempted to try the Cloud version. I am interested in MUSE and I see that it is available only through a Cloud membership or through a monthly charge of $14.99, for a year.
The one aspect of the Cloud option that I do not like is the inability to open your files once you drop your subscription. Would this hold true for customers who already have CS6? In other words, if you already own CS6, but you decide to also subscribe to the Cloud option, would you be able to use CS6 to open files created using the Cloud products?
I noticed that Digital Publishing Suite, Single Edition will be included as part of an Adobe Creative Cloud membership late in 2012. A major drawback of the single edition is that content is restricted to the iPad whereas in the Professional/Enterprise versions content can be viewed on iPad and Android-based tablets.
Thanks for the contest!
Yes Jon, for now the same product versions are available in the Creative Cloud or via a traditional purchase – so a file saved in one will be openable in another. So if you own CS6 permanently, then you can continue to open CS6 files even if your Cloud membership expires.
That said, soon Adobe will be introducing updates to the Creative Cloud tools that will not be available to the regularly-licensed release – so there could possibly be some format incompatibilities that arise. However, installing these updates is optional for each Cloud user. See more details here:
How are Creative Cloud updates, upgrades, and versions managed?
Amazing Adobe products with the flexibility of cloud services. Who wouldn’t be excited!
It’ll be good if I win this… Because:
1. I’m a multimedia student learning web design+graphics design+video editing+audio editing.
2. Student and teacher pricing is not available in our country.
3. The normal pricing is waaaaay too expensive for me.
4. I’m having problems with downloading and extracting the Adobe trials.
5. I’m paranoid about using pirated stuff.
Hey there Andy, it looks like you’re in India. Actually, Adobe Student & Teacher Edition products are available there (just harder to find)… And you’re right that Adobe piracy is definitely a bad idea, so you might want to look into that.
BTW, what problems are you having downloading the Adobe CS6 trials?
I would love to try the cloud out, particularly for the Touch Apps.
I guess it’s a good idea for creatives who travel a lot. you will have your design with you always, you can share themes anytime anywhere and stay updated across your devices. i like that.
wow… thank you for this amazing offer……….. :D
I’d like to try the subscription model, but I’m still a little nervous about deepening Adobe’s access to my life.
Currently using iD3… would really like to upgrade for the newer features that I feel are really lacking from my version. Hoping what I know about iD3 isn’t too outdated to be up and running quickly with CS6-iD.
Not to worry Chaco – here are some good resources to easily get started with the latest tools (either in Creative Cloud or traditionally):

Still on the fence about the cloud versions. Something about not having the next box for my shelf.
Welcome Jon, this new guide may help in deciding which way you should go:
Compare Adobe Creative Cloud vs. CS6 Traditional – Which One for You?
Great opportunity to fully access huge quantity of superb software.
I’m very interested in using the Creative Cloud and hopefully putting my first game out to be published. Good luck to everyone. Heleen
I would love to try the Creative Cloud and what better way than for free! I’ve been playing with this idea for a while now, however using only my cell phone as a wifi hotspot, the imminent charges are scaring me away from it. However the cost of upgrading/buying outright is almost as impossible too…..so I remain….crawling along with my CS2….
I’ve used the Adobe products for years, and Photoshop is probably my all-time favorite program. I would love to win this! :)
Adobe Creative Cloud would be great for when school starts again. I would be able to show all of my friends the pictures and videos that I learn to make on my own.
I love the Creative Suite software! This makes it affordable and convenient for students and designers to customize their software needs and wants.
I’m wondering if it’s stable enough in the cloud. Is it one person access or are you sharing this with others? Does the speed of the internet affect the workflow? Internet overseas is much faster so this might make more sense there.
silly question i’m sure, but – does this mean the software downloads to your pc/mac, or does it run from the web?
thanks for the chance to win!
Greetings Christie and Cate, note that there are some services that run “in the cloud,” but the major applications in the Creative Cloud (like Photoshop etc) still download, install, and run locally on your desktop just like usual – and don’t run over the network.
One of the concerns I’ve had about the Creative Cloud is security/intellectual property. I work for the IT department of a healthcare company, and I work with a lot of proprietary data that we can’t store outside of our firewall for legal reasons. Do you know how/if Adobe has addressed these sorts of issues?
Hello Jean, see the answer to this comment above on that question.
Oh and thanks for giving a copy of it away–I’d love to have it even if I couldn’t use it for work :-).
I’m a twitter follower (and I’ve retweeted the giveaway tweet), and a newsletter subscriber.
I hope to buy a new laptop this Christmas and this would be lovely for it; my current machine does not have video support for this software. What a Christmas present this would be!!
I’d love to play in the clouds! This would be great to have!
The Cloud would be a great alternative to my present CS5 – I use at least four Adobe programs on a daily basis, and Photoshop CS6 has so many great new features!
