  1. @Insane – It will do that if the Adobe website doesn’t see you as being logged in first. To fix it, review the instructions above to get a free Adobe ID and log in before clicking the links here… Make sure all cookies and websites are being allowed on your browser.

Sometimes it can also happen if Adobe’s cookies get out of whack – which can be fixed by clearing all adobe.com cookies on your browser, clear your browser cache too, and restarting. If you’re still having difficulties, see some of the other solutions given in the comments above.

    • Yes, some browsers will show “Save Target As” on the right-click menu instead of “Save Link As” – but they do the same thing…

Don’t know what a chrome document is, but would suggest trying a different browser or machine or location and see if that helps, usually it does… Adobe also recommends you temporarily turn off any surfing restrictions you may have running on your computer, for example pop-up and site blockers, hosts exclusions, firewalls or antivirus software, etc – and be sure to allow third-party cookies. Thanks for your feedback.

  2. Hi, thanks for offering these great links for non 64-bit users. But i’m having a problem. I click the link and it directs me to an Adobe page labeled “Resume your Adobe download”. I believe it wants be to signed in, but i already am, plus it says my name on the top of the Adobe page. This is occuring with After Effects, and I have the same problem in IE and Chrome. I will also save the target (link), but its just a link to the previously mentioned adobe page. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    • Hi Jim, thanks for your comment. If you’re seeing the “Resume your download” page that means that Adobe isn’t seeing you as being logged in with the right cookie set on your browser. That may sound strange because you see your name in the upper left of the page saying “Welcome ______”, so you think you should be good to go. But that’s still not enough – you have to follow the instructions above very carefully, including clicking on the link given in step 1. Once you do that, the “Resume” page is replaced with a “Save File” notice with the download.

But if you’ve already done all that, and it’s still not working, there are two other possibilities: (1) the adobe.com cookies on your browser got crossed up somehow – try clearing them (plus the browser cache), restart your browser, and trying all steps again, or (2) something’s messed up with your Adobe account – try logging out, creating a new account, clearing the cookies again, and following the steps above one more time. Sorry for the difficulty, the links do still work and hope this helps!

PS – If you want After Effects CS4 and Premiere Pro CS4 shipped to you on DVD, and also get CS5 for future use in the process, see our recommendation here.

    • Hi Mathew, there may have been a temporary problem with Adobe’s servers if you had a similar difficulty that David just posted about… Scooby above also had the “Resume your download” page coming up, but said it went away after he waited a bit and then tried downloading a program he hadn’t done before. So hopefully the next time you try (with the tips just mentioned), you’ll have better luck… They are working fine on our end here. Thanks for your feedback.

  3. Thank you very much for responding. I will try another program :) I have also been trying for a while so I don’t think trying it later will help but thank you again for your suggestion :)

    • Hi Ellen, when you install or run the downloaded software, you should be able to select an option to use the Adobe product on a trial basis…

See the screenshot on this page for an example of this. Hopefully you’ve got the same.

  5. THANK YOU VERY MUCH for the links and step-by-step download instructions, it’s greatly appreciated!! I’ve been looking all over the place for an older version of Creative Suite to try out with no luck. Thanks again!

  10. Hi @ihuggiraffes – just tested all of the CS4 Web Premium links and they continue to work fine on this end… These files have been in the same place since 2008, so should work if you carefully follow the instructions or other suggestions given in the comments above. Good luck and thanks for your feedback.

  12. Hi there. I already installed the CS4 production premium for Windows English version. But when I try to open the folder (from File 2) it says that, “Cannot open file ADBESTVDCS4_LS7.7z as an archive”. I did try to install it again but the same thing happen again. Can you please help me?

  13. @D – Have not heard of anything like that… If you download all the files for the products on this page, the software should be self-contained and not require any external disks.

@withme27 – You don’t actually have to attempt to run the .7z files – only the .exe files. The .exe file(s) do all the work to extract and install the archives contained within the .7z files, where applicable.

So as long as you have downloaded all the files into the same folder, and then run all .exe’s, you should be good. Thanks for helping clarify.

  14. Hi again. I already put all the .exe file(s) and .7z files in one folder. I put them together in 1 folder. But then, when I run the .exe file, it says “A problem occurred while extracting the archive. Please try downloading the Adobe CS4 Production Premium again”. I think I’ve been downloading this and again, when I try to run the .exe file, it still says the same thing.
    Please help and thanks again..

    • Hi Ottsel, it sounds like there’s an issue with your download process dropping the file extensions for some reason… (probably using IE, which runs into the most difficulties) You can rename the files manually to add the extensions back, consistent with their names when you hover over the links above.

(For a pair of Windows files you should have one .exe file and one .7z file. The .exe will be the smaller of the two, and is the only one that should be run.)

Either that, or you can try downloading the files again with a different browser, or try one of the other recommendations suggested above to complete the downloads. Thank you for your comment.
