help,
in my own case i followed the instruction as stated above, but when I click the download button on the adobe interface a window pops up for me to sign in, then nothing happens it takes like for ever to load.
if I open a new tab and sign in , it still ask me to log in again.
I can’t even download a damn thing.
I really need the premiere pro cs4 can any body help!

Hi @bassey, would suggest you read through the comments above – some folks have had similar problems and solved them… In particular, see this comment and the several responses that follow.
Typically that kind of thing means something has gotten crossed up in your computer and it’s solved by either clearing the cookies & cache on your browser and restarting, or trying a different browser, or creating a new Adobe account ID, or trying a different computer.

any idea of how long adobe might leave it on it servers? i stay in the part of the world where electricity is still an issue.

There should be no imminent risk of the CS4 links disappearing as Adobe’s had them there for almost two years now, and we’ve been here for over one year now. ;)

I had the same problem, but if you read the instructions #1. says “Visit this page like you want to try Photoshop CS5, and click on the ‘Download Now’ button at the bottom of that page.”
VISIT THAT PAGE! I know it’s weird, but right after I click that link, I close it & retry the download & works perfectly! Good luck!
well i thought i got it boxed up but after close to 2 days of all night no thanks to my slow modem i finally downloaded a 1.2 MB of .exe an a premierepro_ls7.7z 347byte. damaged file message
now that is what i call frustration!!!!
any idea why this is happening to me.

Hi again Bassey – trying to do this on a slow modem could be difficult… The total size of the English Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 trial download including the extra content is 3.9 GB on the PC and 4.7 GB on the Mac. For the English Adobe After Effects CS4 trial download, the size is still pretty large – 1.6 GB on Windows and 2.1 GB on Mac.
Would suggest first you read through all the comments above to see if anybody else’s solution helps – but it still may be a longshot with dial-up… You may have more luck waiting until you or someone you know has faster and more reliable Internet access.
Easier still: If you want to get Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 and After Effects CS4 sent to you on DVD by Adobe, you can still buy them both.
You can also get trials of any of the new CS5 suites sent to you on DVD, for just the cost of shipping really – see this page. Hope this helps and good luck.
When I try to open the fully downloaded .exe file is just asks what program I would like to use to open it. It does not prompt me to the setup window. Any help would be appreciated
Hi Josh, on Windows if you double-click or open a .exe file then it should run that executable. If it doesn’t for some reason, there may be some kind of problem with your computer… If it asks you what to use to open an .exe, that’s not usual and there may be something off with your file manager or file type associations.
Are you certain you’re opening the right file (not the .7z), and that it has the proper .exe extension? If you’re missing a file extension, see this comment and response.
I downloaded the trial version of CS4 completely. Yet it asks me what program I want to use to open them.

Nevermind, if I would have read the comments I would have realized that IE decided to just drop the .exe off the file. Problem solved.
Followup on this question, with new information –
If you have downloaded all the Adobe files but are getting the message to “Please insert Disk to continue” during installation of CS4 (or CS5), this may well be the issue (and solution):

all downloaded well the installer starts i choose the location of install and which products i require then it comes up with an error saying “installation failed – one or more required components of illustrator cs4 failed to install correctly” any help would be appreciated

ok finally got it to install correctly but cant find it on my progams list or anyway to start the program?

tried reinstalling and getting the error again “Error 1605. This action is only valid for products that are currently installed.”
Hi @Gareth, haven’t seen that error message before but a quick google search turned up this page with some suggested solutions…
If those don’t work for you, try uninstalling everything and running the Adobe Cleaner Tool – and then rebooting and starting over with the install. Hope this helps and thanks for your comment.

Hi, i downloaded all three files for the CS4 Master Collection perfectly, but then I try to run Setup.exe inside of the Adobe CS4 folder it goes to a small window that says that it’s checking system profile. When it finishes, it goes to a bigger window, then a smaller window comes up and says: The minimum system requirements listed below are needed to run Adobe CS4 Master Collection and are not met: Windows XP Service Pack 3 and greater and Windows Vista Service Pack 1 and Greater. Please upgrade your system to meet these requirements. I don’t understand what they are asking me, because my OS is Windows Vista.

Greetings @Chris, thanks for your comment. Even though you’re running Vista, it sounds like you need to install the latest Microsoft Service Pack, which is Vista SP2…

i have downloaded the file for cs4 after effects but i can not open it with anything. how can i open and use it?
Hi Greg, are you on a PC or a Mac? If it’s a PC, you actually need two files (.exe and .7z) for After Effects CS4. On the Mac it’s only one (.dmg).

as of today is that bassey is not yet a loser! I announce to the house I’ve been able to download AFTER EFFECTS CS4 and FLASH PRO and installed it though yet to open it.
I am gunning for premiere pro cs4, and i ain’t leaving till i get to try all the chill stuff.

I have legit version of CS4 but I have the software in two computers in the office and really need to keep them activated… and I need to use CS4 on my laptop for a major trip I’m going on and have CS2 legit version on that same laptop but really want to use CS4 for several reasons… So, I did as you instructed and everything loaded correctly but it is asking for a serial number and I didn’t see if they were there… if it was there I missed it and can’t find it? Can you help?
I am trying to download adobe after effects cs4 and it keeps saying cs5 after I have downloaded it and I downloaded both parts and I put both things in one folder but it keeps saying The file part archive of adobe after effects cs4 install is missing!! Any suggestion on what I should do next?.
@bassey – Congrats – good work!
@MJ – Thanks for your comment. You should be able to run both CS versions on one computer without interference… You also shouldn’t need a serial number to run any of Adobe’s free trials, at least for the first 30 days for any release.
See this page and click on “Step 2” for a screenshot of what you should be looking for. Then just pick the bottom option on that screen…
@Brandy – It sounds like for some reason the files you’ve got are crossed up, incomplete, or mismatched. I’d start over, delete all those and use a new directory to download to, follow all the instructions carefully, and then review the comments above if you continue to have any difficulty. Hope this helps.

OK so good news! I have downloaded everything again and I saved in the same folder that I created – and it seems to work kind of but now it says:
“A problem occurred while extracting some files. Check available space on your computer and the write privileges on the destination folder.” – but I have over 75gb of free Space?… Please let me know what to do next… Thanks
Hi Brandy, thanks for your question. That’s an error message that people sometimes see when installing Adobe products, and it looks like it has to do with where the downloaded files are relative to where you would like to install the program to…
