Adobe CS5 Classroom in a Book Series

To enter, all you have to do is add a comment below describing what you like about CS5 and how you’ll be using it, in up to four sentences – that’s it! The contest runs until 11:59pm EDT on Monday, May 31st, 2010, when we’ll choose the ten entries we like the best. One entry per person please, and if two submissions are similar, the first one will count. The contest is open to residents of the USA, Canada, U.K. and Ireland, and the winners will be chosen and books shipped out next month. Be sure to give an accurate email address as we’ll be contacting ten commenters via email to get shipping information, and then follow up back here announcing first names and hometowns.

Speaking of giveaways, we’re also pleased to announce the winner of our big Photoshop CS5 Giveaway last month… The lucky fellow who won the drawing is Dayne from North Lincolnshire, England, and he will be receiving a shiny new shrinkwrapped box of Photoshop CS5 for free!

It turns out Dayne is a talented young artist who afterwards sent us some work he did with Photoshop CS4, which we’d like to share with you here…
Congratulations Dayne, and we’ll look forward to seeing what you do with CS5. And thanks again to everyone who entered for your participation and enthusiasm.

Adobe has some more great product releases coming up, so we expect to be running one new contest each month for a while to come… And since we have a full ten new Creative Suite 5 books to give away this month, if you enter now plus facebook and tweet your friends and colleagues, hopefully one of you will get one!

  1. I will be buying Dreamweaver so that I can be self-sufficient and manage my own stores. Now I am stuck at my current host, who continues to raise monthly fees and I can’t afford the my designer’s time to move to another. So I want to teach myself how to design websites so that I am empowered and don’t feel so trapped by the powers that be.

  2. The digital information world is moving fast and with the current state of the economy and the company I work for cannot afford to keep me up to date with software and equipment, so I am going to have to do it by myself like I should’ve kept on doing since college.

I just bought the CS5 Bible as Flash / Photoshop / Dreamweaver are becoming more important for business.

  3. I’m a photography student at the moment and will be making a living from the freedom the programs give me to express my creativity. I want to learn how to use Photoshop to its full capacity. I also want to learn how to create my own website using Dreamweaver to promote my own business one day… CS5 will help make my dream a reality…

  4. Adobe products are the finest on the market and no other graphics software manufacturer comes close to achieving the measure of absolute quality provided by Adobe’s latest release of Creative Suite 5. CS5.5 is yet another example of Adobe’s unparallelled web designing software in its totality of the various applications such as Photoshop, Dreamweaver, InDesign, Flash and so much more. CS5.5 is the supreme collection of graphical website design/build software found nowhere else in the world and it just keeps getting better.

Adobe CS5 is the very best website design software in the world!!!

  5. I absolutely love all Adobe products! There is no other way to say it. Although I am a novice user, I want to master the entire Adobe CS5.5 in order to design and build websites. As I am disabled and cannot work and the fact that I love Adobe and making web sites, Adobe has everything I will ever need to build state-of-the-art websites from my own home and make a few bucks in the process.

    Thank you Adobe!!!

  6. As a high school art teacher, I’m teaching Photoshop (and learning one step ahead of the students). We are beginning to use it to make photo templates for the various activities happening around school…cheerleader’s pictures, football pictures, etc.

Just getting into photography, myself, I have started to entertain the idea of a studio in the future, a webpage! If anyone knows of books on Photoshop or Dreamweaver written for high school level, please let me know. Thanks!!

  8. I work at a printing company in the composition department and we are in the process of switching over from Quark to InDesign and I am in the process of trying to learn more of Photoshop and InDesign for job security and advancement. Having any aids to help me learn would wonderful. I am a middle-aged new learner putting my grandson and daughter through college and having to teach myself most of this with the help of younger college students. I really want to be able to keep up with the times and any books would be of great help to me. I need those visual aids, not tutorials on the screen, something to put my hands on and to study with. Thanks for all you do.

  9. I am interested in your books to learn more than what I get from Against The Clock. I will be using them hopefully in a new job. My main interest is knowing all that it can do. I’ve seen where one used it to program their phone when I shook it.

I have always been interested in science and great in math. I am not sure what I will be using it for, but interested in learning all it can do. Also, interested in more schooling…….. what programs to take to advance more than Against the Clock teaches. They always wait till the last chapter…….for them to get interested. And the last chapter isn’t fair. My favorite is Flash, Dreamweaver and Photoshop. Their programs on my disk that Digital Design doesn’t teach……. and I am interested in the knowledge to be able to use all my software. I have CS5 Premium.

  10. I love Adobe very much, I see how much people work with creating these superstitious products. The only problem to me is I don’t know how to manage my time to cover all the products, I need an advanced level of experience: there is so many interesting things, but not enough time to try everything at once ))))

    Good work, good style

  11. Photoshop has been a life saver for me. I started doing paper scrap-booking when I became ill, but now having the digital option is so much more convenient and a lot less of a mess. I have also taken photography courses and would love to shoot for a living.

I love the ease of understanding of the products and how much you can get done in such a short period of time. Also I enjoy how I am able to change or colour a picture to suit the mood. There are so many tools that now I just can’t live without!!

Thanks for the opportunity to win this amazing collection of knowledge!!
