Please help! I’ve downloaded both file 1 and 2 for Photoshop CS6 but it won’t install! I’ve also have the Download Assistant Manager. When I double click file 1 (application) it says the file archive is missing or not in the same folder. But it is! I have the 3 files in my desktop in one folder. The file 2 (1.1 GB) is complete and when I click it it says too big to be edited by notepad.. Is it supposed to be a text document? Please help! :(
Greetings Lily, please see these previous comments on why you might be getting that message, and how to solve it.
None of the Illustrator CS6 links are working for Windows :(
Yes, actually everything’s working fine – you just have to carefully follow the download directions given near the top of this page.
Then if you have any difficulties, try a different browser, computer, or Internet connection… These are pretty large files so avoid wireless or Wi-Fi as it’s slow and unreliable compared to a wired or cabled connection.
If you get stuck, see this list of download suggestions.
Hi, I’ve been trying to download CS6 for 12 hours, it’s just extracting…forever. This is a brand new macbook pro retina, should not have any problems. I have CS6 on my Imac and now want to put it on my laptop. I have my serial number. I think this is the only way I can have my program at home and on the laptop. Did not know of any other way to do this.
Sorry you’re having troubles with that Teri. What type of Internet connection are you using? These are large files so you’re likely to have better results if you’re not using Wi-Fi. Also try a different browser if you can. And for more recommendations and help, see the comment just above yours.
Dude help, I’m always getting the Adobe Download Assistant when I click “Download Now”
Hey Bro, you’ve got to carefully follow the directions at the top of this page, and the downloads will work for you.
HI
I hope you can help, I’ve followed the instructions and downloaded file 1 and file 2 for production premium.
However neither file is an .exe file.
I have:
ProductionPremium_CS6_LS7
ProductionPremium_CS6_LS7.7z
I have tried this twice now with the same results.
Hi Pat, please see this previous comment and response if you have that situation (without an executable file).
The invalid checksum is actually easily fixed for CS6 downloads on Mac. Go to Disk Utility preferences and uncheck the “validate checksums” box. Boom done and installed.
Adobe’s caught on. Access denied on all links as of this comment.
Hello Sam, what are you talking about – “caught on” to what?
These are 100% legal and authentic – direct links to the genuine software on Adobe’s servers…
All you have to do is carefully follow the instructions at the top of the page, that must be what you missed.
Everything works well. Thanks
@ProDesignTools
No, I didn’t miss it. Worked fine for me for Photoshop and InDesign, but then failed for all others.
Worked fine again today, so perhaps my session cookie expired for some reason yesterday.
Gotcha Sam, thanks for the clarification. Yes, sometimes Adobe’s download servers can be temperamental, we’ve never been sure why… If we could figure it out, we’d have fewer comments to answer!
Glad to hear it’s working again for you though. It’s working fine on our end as well, as it usually does.
For anyone else having the occasional hiccup, see this list of download tips.
I need some help please! I have tried to download the 30-day trial of Photoshop CS6 numerous times and without any luck. I followed the steps above and still nothing. I am taking a class and need to do my assignments on it….I have Windows 8 if that helps. I keep getting an error, “installer failed to initialize.” I am not a computer guru. I have a folder on my desktop that says Photoshop CS6 with subfolders of ps-cs6, setup, and installation instructions. None of which lead me anywhere. Also have the Adobe Download Assistant. Thanks for your help!
Welcome Katie, sorry you’re having difficulties getting the software installed… Do you have Administrator privileges on your machine? You might try right-clicking the setup .exe file, and choosing “Run as administrator”…
Another suggestion is to run the Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool to remove everything from your system, reboot and try the installation again.
It is also possible that the download is corrupt or was not completed successfully – in which case you might try redownloading it, perhaps with a different browser.
Hope that helps!
Hi,
Please can you help. I’ve followed the instructions above to download the cs6 master collection onto my imac. It got to around 32% but when i checked a few minutes ago the download had stopped at 2.2 GB. The pause/stop buttons to the right have disappeared also and it doesn’t say it was cancelled either so don’t know what’s happened! I’ve tried the open the file even though it isn’t finished but it says it is not recognized. Any suggestions? Do i have to start the download again as it’s taken 2 days to get to 32%!!
Thanks!
Well to be honest Laura, if it’s taken two days to download 2 gigabytes, it sounds like your Internet connection may be too slow and unreliable for these large files… Regrettably, at those speeds your download has very little chance of completing correctly and completely without corruption.
If you are using Wi-Fi, then switch to a connected/wired cable – it will be faster and more robust, and give you a much greater chance at success.
You might also consider installing your own Download Manager like IDM – they can help speed things up quite a bit by using multiple channels at once.
Thanks, I thought it might be that. I’ve actually tried overnight and seem to now have a 6.6gb file! However now I get the error message:
The following disk images could not be opened:
MasterCollection_CS6_not recognised
Any idea?
Sorry Laura, a “dmg not recognized” message typically means an incomplete or corrupted download… see this previous comment.
Huh, Guys, you saved my life with these direct download links:
For some reason, the Adobe Download Manager started always at 750kb, but then broke down to 200kb and it said I have to wait 8 hours :-(
With your direct links, I could download only Photoshop and that’s much better.
Thanks a lot.
Great Lelala, glad to help… We get that a lot here actually – for some reason the Adobe Download Assistant causes speed and slowness issues for some customers, and they are able to download here much faster with these direct links.
me too @ Lily
Keep getting the same error, Access Denied…
Every time I try to download the English Master Edition Suite link, I get this, even though I can go to the Adobe site and download other files directly.
Even went and created a new Adobe profile to try to see if that would help. Nada.
Just tested them Darius and everything continues to work fine on our end – no problems at all getting a fast download with any of the direct links above.
If you’re carefully following the download directions given at the top of this page, then try it with a different browser, computer, or Internet connection (not Wi-Fi)…
If you have any difficulties, see this list of download suggestions.
Hello. I have a quick question. The Adobe Extractor is not opening with anything for the Adobe Master Suite CS6 Collection. Any ideas?
Hey Danny, that depends entirely on what the message is that it’s giving you?
@ Thoughts
works fine for me!
Hi, I need some help please. I’ve tried downloading both file 1 and 2 for Photoshop CS6 but it won’t install. I’ve downloaded the Adobe Download Asistant Manager as well. It keeps saying “The application could not be installed because the installer file is damaged. Try obtaining a new installer file from the application author.” I’ve downloaded using multiple browsers, same result. Any advice?
Hi Sasha, do you have the Adobe Download Assistant installed? That’s what seems to be causing that error, according to the Adobe Forums… Try uninstalling it and using the above direct links again.
hello, i have already installed adobe illustrator cs6 but now the adobe can’t be used on its tool panel (can’t right click to select other tools). do i have to install cs5 first in order to settle this problem? thanks in advance.
Hi, not sure what is the issue you’re having, but no – you definitely do not have to install or own any previous version of Creative Suite for these CS6 downloads to work or run.
Thanks for this article – very helpful :)
Hi there!
I had also the error message “The file archive of Adobe Illustrator CS6 is missing. You need all parts in the same folder in order to extract Adobe Illustrator CS6. Please download all parts.”
At first I downloaded the files with IE, then I tried the same with the AKAMAI download manager. Then I saw that the file names were different depending on the way you’d used!!!
So the proper way for me was to use the download manager in order to get the main installer to recognize the name all downloaded files and put them all in the same folder on the PC you want to install it.
I hope this helps people stuck with the same issue.
Cheers
Great Patrick, thanks for sharing your solution – it may have been that your browser dropped the filename extension(s), which happens sometimes with Internet Explorer!
:)
No, this was definitely not an issue with extensions dropped. And I could reproduce the same behavior with Photoshop and InDesign.
I filed a bug report at Adobe’s yesterday.
@ Andres
Hi. I attempted to download the free trial of CS6 Design Web Premium. The first day it downloaded all day from the Adobe Download Assistant. The second day it had been downloading in the Adobe Manager window. The install window is now frozen at 147 minutes and can’t be closed. What can I do to either complete the downloads or at the least eliminate the install windows, managers, and install assistants that aren’t actually installing?
Sorry you’re having difficulties Becky. If you’re downloading using these direct links, then you don’t need to use the Adobe Download Assistant or Manager. So, kill those or reboot if they’re running and try again using a different browser or computer if necessary…
Also make sure you’re not doing this over Wi-Fi, as these are large files that can take a long time and the process won’t be as reliable as with a wired or cabled connection.
If your system hung in the middle of installing the product, that’s very unusual but you could download and run Adobe’s Creative Suite Cleaner Tool, reboot, and then try again from the top.
Hope this helps!
I was trying to download the extra content for the Adobe Premiere Pro package using the link you provided just above the comments and it says I do not have sufficient permissions.
Help please?
Sure, first thing you just have to carefully follow the download instructions at the top of this page.
can’t download adobe muse, access denied.
Hello, please make sure you are carefully following the download instructions at the top of this article – thanks.
