Great news, can’t lose with this deal – thanks.
OK so I understand. Lightroom 3.2 is a separate application apart from 3.0. 3.2 can be downloaded to run alongside 3.0.
So if I want 3.2, will my 3.0 serial number work for it? Or the better question is if I’ve already paid for 3.0 is 3.2 free?
Hi Mike, the answer is that this Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3.2 RC is free for everyone, regardless of whether you own any previous release of Lightroom or not. It requires no login or payment or serial number to download, install, and run. The software will expire eventually though.
Thanks for your question, and we’ve added a new sentence above to help clarify this.
@Thomas – thank you for the kind words and glad to help.
Hi and thank you for your reply. I know I’m being a little slow-minded but can’t seem to grasp this. Once the free 3.2 install expires, will my 3.0 serial number work for the final 3.2 version? …Thx
Hello again Mike, no worries – questions are a good thing because they help strengthen the understanding of the article… And so we’ve clarified the last paragraph above to better address your insight.
The answer is yes, the final Lightroom 3.2 version will be a free update for all Lightroom 3 owners, and work with all LR3 serial numbers.
I have downloaded 3.2 and am trying to use the added facebook uploader. However, it’s not working. It claims the attempts to contact facebook fail and it cancels the upload. However, the first picture in the upload collection is uploaded to facebook. Is this just me or is this a problem that is being worked on?
Hi Sara, thanks for your question – and indeed a search of the forums shows that some folks are having difficulty getting this new feature to work, probably not unlike what you had experienced… So even though the rest of the LR 3.2 release thus far is pretty solid, this illustrates one reason why this is Release Candidate software, and hopefully will be addressed by Adobe in the final Lightroom 3.2 version.
@Sara – Good news, the final version of Adobe Lightroom 3.2 was released today, and the problem you had with uploading to Facebook was addressed and fixed…
Adobe also added direct publishing functionality to SmugMug, plus other new fixes, enhancements, and support for recent cameras.

Hello
i am actually trying to find a way to add a description to a picture i publish at lightroom 3.2 does anyone have an idea how to do it or a video i can see. it sucks publishing pictures with no description thanks
-Jose
Sure Jose – you mean like adding captions to photographs using the Text Template Editor in Lightroom 3?
Yeah and btw is LR 3.5 – and sorry posted the same comment on Facebook, thought this side was dead. I will check it out, just want to do that all at once and not have to export it and use Facebook to upload it and add descriptions to it.
