Has anyone had a problem when downloading CS4 for Windows where you download all three files but only the ILSTCS4_Cont_LS1.exe will run and not the ADBEILSTCS4_LS1.exe? When I try to run the latter I get this error:
“The file archive part of Adobe Illustrator CS4 is missing. You need all parts in the same folder in order to extract Adobe Illustrator CS4. Please download all parts”
But I HAVE downloaded all parts and followed instructions and they’re all in the same folder.
Any suggestions?
Hey Kirstyn – on Windows, do you also have a ADBEILSTCS4_LS1.7z file in that same folder? Are you sure they all downloaded completely and are intact? Did you try redownloading the files, perhaps using a different web browser and/or stronger-faster Internet connection?
Hi, I actually have the old cd for CS4 including serial no. My question is whether I can just install it as we used to do in the old days?
Right now I have CS6 installed, but quite soon I will have to get my computer reinstalled as I am no longer employed in the company paying for the software.
You might be able to do that Lone, though be forewarned that CS4 and CS3 are old (from 2008 and 2007) and predate many modern operating systems – so are not supported and may not run reliably on Windows 8 or current Mac OS versions.

Hi Vatsal, these links are old but they do still function – but you have to make sure you are carefully following the step-by-step download instructions given near the top of this page.
Following those instructions (first) is required by Adobe’s servers and is absolutely essential, otherwise the direct links won’t work for you.
So if you still have any difficulties, then try with a different web browser, computer, or Internet connection – all while still following those directions. Avoid Wi-Fi if possible, as these can be large downloads and wireless connections are slower and/or less reliable than wired.
Finally, also make sure you’re not blocking or filtering anything with your browser(s) – like cookies, downloads, or any sites or URLs, which could interfere with the download process.

Yes, Contribute and all the other old links on this page still work, but you have to follow the download directions first (given near the top).

Hey Jonathan, did you try it with a different browser or computer? It sounds like your antivirus (are you using Kaspersky by chance?) or other third-party security software is interfering…
Make sure you’re not blocking or filtering anything with your browser(s) – like cookies, downloads, or any sites or URLs – or running utilities like Ghostery, AdBlock, or Disconnect.
In general, Adobe recommends turning those things off temporarily.

My legal version of Adobe CS4 perfectly runs on Yosemite. However: since yesterday I received error code 150:30. I tried several suggestions to solve the problem without success. Normally I should deactivate CS4 before reinstalling but this is not possible anymore. What should I do now?
Hello George, that sounds like a “Licensing for this Product Has Stopped Working” error message… You can uninstall and reinstall anyway on the same machine, but see this help page for many possible solutions.
I was trying to download CS4, but instead of CS4 I got Elements 13. Please tell me what I should do!

Is it possible to download a trial version (ex. CS4) and purchase a serial number licence, after concluding that everything works?
sorry wrong version number, the version I need is CS5 (no cloud, as I will be using the software while travelling, as I cannot rely on constant internet service) also I must stay within a small budget (no new hardware), please advise!
Hi Jacklo, you mentioned wanting to buy CS4, but Adobe no longer sells it – CS4 is now very dated software (7 years old). Even CS5 is five years old now, and they also discontinued that several years ago. And if you try to buy these old versions from an unauthorized source, you are opening yourself up to big-time scams.
However there’s good news, because Adobe still sells CS6 today (the last standalone perpetual version from 2012), and also of course the latest release which is CC 2015 (available via subscription). Those are your two choices.
Finally, to correct a misconception: You absolutely do not need constant internet service to run CC or the Creative Cloud – that is a myth:

So instead of CS5, if you want traditional software licensing rather than membership-based, we’d recommend CS6. Here are the installers if you’d like to check out a free trial first:

THANK YOU SOOOOOOO MUCH! I use InDesign CS3 at school and I have InDesign CS6 at home, so I cannot commute back and forth with a file because of the not-backwards-compatible nature of InDesign. I was therefore in desperate need of ID CS3, and you saved the day. Thanks! :)

I’ve downloaded premiere pro cs4, but after that my file and extracted it there partly a corrupt file. so i failed extracting the file. whether it is corrupt ? please help. thanks brother
Not sure Nasrullah, it still seems to work here and no one else has reported any problems. Usually a corruption issue is due to a bad or incomplete download.
These are large files, so try downloading it again using a different browser, another computer, and/or a stronger & faster Internet connection (use wired instead of Wi-Fi if possible).
Each time you do that, make sure you continue to carefully follow the download instructions (required by Adobe’s servers) in order for the direct links to work.

Make sure to carefully follow the download directions first (before clicking on the link), otherwise you’ll get an access denied message.

Just want to know please what is the LS number specified for ME (Middle Eastern) versions supporting Arabic.
i.e., it’s LS1 for English, LS4 or I don’t know for French, so what is it for ME versions ???
Sorry Doctor – we don’t have that, and couldn’t tell you where to find it anywhere. There is no “LS” for old CS Middle Eastern versions, as far as we know… those used to be adapted & sold by a different company.
We are not aware of any MENA (Middle Eastern North Africa) trial versions of Creative Suite being available in Arabic, Greek, or Hebrew languages before CS6 came out.
Hi, I’ve just downloaded the free trial of CS4 illustrator english and it has uploaded onto my laptop (V old toshiba satellite). I’m unable to complete set-up with a message saying I need to contact customer support for assistance – any chance you can help me or do I really need to contact customer support?
