  1. @ ProDesignTools .. With those Links I can only download to my computer .. If I have ftp, then I can download it to my server (i think you will not recommend it) .. and can give it to users as a normal download ..! I already have some CS6 files downloaded from adobe ftp ..!

    • I’m sorry, it is not permitted by Adobe to redistribute these files in any way – all links and downloads of these products must originate directly from their own servers… There is no reason to copy them anyway because the originals remain available per the above, and any duplication would introduce doubt as to their authenticity and safety.

Bottom line, the licensing is owned by the company and you will get in trouble if you try to do it any other way, so we can not and will not support it.

    • No, it’s not illegal – because in that case the Lightroom trial file is actually coming from Adobe’s own servers… FileHippo just makes it look like they have their own copy, but they don’t – it’s not allowed, so don’t be fooled.

To prove it, here is the direct download link for Lightroom 4 (Windows) – it’s the identical 771MB file coming from the same Adobe server. Firefox will tell you the server it’s originating from.

For completeness, here also is the direct link for the Mac version of Lightroom 4 (419MB) – again, exactly what FileHippo is pulling. They are not making a duplicate.

Don’t try to make and serve your own copies – Adobe’s servers are faster than yours so there’s no point to it, just needless risk and uncertainty.

  2. @prodesigntools – thanks very much for providing these direct links of adobe products. The “Adobe Download Assistant” is very weird, as it hangs after downloading more than 90% of the file, did not resume in any case. “prodesigntools ddl links” are much better to use with our own download manager.

I downloaded adobe illustrator cs3 trial along with “extra content”. Now how to install that extra content –

    1. Are they part of adobe default installation process ?
    2. OR I’ve to manually install them (OMG !!!, there are too many files and fonts)
    3. If they are part of adobe installation process, then when to extract them – before extractions of illustrator content or after it ?

I tried/searched a lot in google but could not find any relevant info.

    Thank you in advance.

    • Greetings, and thank you for your kind feedback. The Additional Content is not included as part of Adobe’s installation process, but separate… Since the extra content is mostly templates, examples, documentation and tutorials, sample projects and footage, you can pretty much just put them where ever you want. For the fonts, they’re dead-easy to install – just select them all, right-click, and choose “Install.”

      Hope this helps!

  3. Hi

I’m pretty annoyed, I downloaded the CS4 Creative Pack and only opened the Photoshop, thinking that I could use the InDesign for other work in the following month as long as I don’t open the program… Just opened InDesign and it has expired. So, if you open one program with in the Creative Suite then all the programs’ 30-day trial will be opened ?? bloody stupid.

    Reply
    • That’s right Alex, it’s a free trial for whatever product you download – including the suites, where the tools are integrated together – so if you prefer to try the programs individually then you can download their trials individually…

It’s documented in the Creative Suite Trial FAQ:

“What if I get a trial version of a Creative Suite 6 edition, but have time to try only one or two components in the 30-day trial period? Can I still try the others later?”

But if you take this knowledge to the free CS6 trial downloads then it’s sure to not happen again.

  4. Hello,

I have downloaded the trial version for Mac of CS3. the file is STPPCS3_Cont_WWE.dmg. I double clicked on it and it opens up a folder with the following files/folders:

    Creative suite….. read me.html
    Documentation
    Goodies

I cannot find anything else and especially the set up file.

Can you help me with this

    Cheers

    • Hey there Mario, it sounds like you got the “Extra Content” for CS3, rather than the actual CS3 software itself… Take another look, all the product trials are in the big table above.

  5. Hi,

I have a quick question. I have installed the CS4 trial and everything works perfect. I have also downloaded the extra file of the CS4 Standard Premium and the only thing else that seems to be there is a list of fonts. Is that all the “extra” file contains? Do I need to add them somehow? In that case how do I do it?

    Thanks
    MARIO

    • Hello again Mario, installing fonts is easy on Windows, just follow the instructions here.

You may also want to download the Additional Content for the individual applications that you will be using in that suite – each tool may also have its own separate package of extra content, and those are all linked above as well.

  6. I found your site when looking for a way to download Photoshop CS4 Extended after I had a hard drive fail and needed to reinstall. I had my product code and serial number but the disc was missing from my box for some reason. So is Photoshop CS4 the same thing as Extended? Or should I be downloading something else?

I sure wish Adobe would continue to fully support their older software. It still works perfectly fine for me, no need of an upgrade at this time.

    • Sorry about your hard drive Kristen, that kind of thing is always a bummer. But yes, in fact all trials of Photoshop are actually the Extended editions – and this is a link to the original Photoshop CS4 Extended trial on Adobe’s servers… So don’t forget it’s actually Adobe that controls and continues to provide these links/files. :)

  7. I followed the instructions, disabled my firewall and antivirus (ugh), and still get this when clicking File 1 for CS4 Web Premium:

    HTTP ERROR: 404 /support/downloads/dlm/main.jsp
    RequestURI=/support/downloads/dlm/main.jsp

Can someone please check the link and suggest something else for me to try? Thank you for your help.

    • Hi, just tested the trial links again and everything works fine on our end. But sometimes it happens that you can get “locked out” from Adobe’s servers, and just have to wait a while…

If you’re still having troubles, try a different browser or computer. Also see Kate’s earlier comments, the things she tried, and the series of responses following – and hopefully that will get you going.

  8. Should this work fine on Windows 8? Downloaded but now can’t open the files to start the install.

I followed carefully, and downloaded the three files for CS4 Design Premium (Windows version) but it will not open. The large 2+GB file shows as a .7z file but the two other files are just labeled as “file.” They’re all in the same downloaded folder, but they won’t do anything but ask for a program to open them.

    Any help/suggestions?

    • Greetings Kyrani, we have helped, and there is nothing wrong with the direct links… They continue to work no problem here – so we can’t really add any more than what we already replied with above.

  10. Greetings,

I am trying to download CS4 Production Premium per Adobe’s instruction for replacement media. I have logged in with my Adobe account and when I click on the download link for file 1, 2, or 3, I get this error message and the download goes no further.

    HTTP ERROR: 404 /support/downloads/dlm/main.jsp
    RequestURI=/support/downloads/dlm/main.jsp

Thanks in advance for your help!!

  12. Hello!
It took around 10 hours, but I finally got the two CS4 Design Premium files to download. The second one mounts and opens just fine, but the first one gives me this error message: “The following disk images couldn’t be opened.”

Any ideas? I’m trying to re-download the first file (giving me a wait time of 10 hours again), but in the meantime, I thought I’d at least ask for some ideas.

I actually own these programs and have the disks, but went through a hard drive crash earlier this month and, when I went to reinstall with the disks, my computer doesn’t seem to see the setup.exe file. Multiple people at Adobe have been anything but helpful (maddening, really), so I thought I’d try downloading from here and then verifying with my serial number. This is exhausting!

  13. Yes, I think you’re right–it was an incomplete download the first time! It had downloaded completely when I got up this morning and the file was 4x larger than the first. It opened up and installed beautifully! The files looked exactly like what is on my discs, EXCEPT the setup.exe file was present, so I could install.

Thank you so much for your input and for putting these links together! I know Adobe is behind these links, but I’m not over-exaggerating when I say that they have been maddeningly unhelpful when it came to “customer support.” (And this is coming from a very calm and understanding person when it comes to customer service reps–it’s not their fault!) Thank you for your help!

  14. It’s incredible that in this day and age we have to jump through these onerous hoops to get to files legitimately purchased through Adobe. ALL of the links come back with Access Denied, even after having logged in at Adobe.com and attempted to follow the instructions provided. Regardless of what I do on the browser (check cookie handling, disable antivirus, etc), all I get is forbidden pages. Even the “Adobe recommends” link is forbidden, which makes absolutely no sense since one would assume it points to info that would avoid these issues.
Is there issues for international customers? What gives?

    • Just tested a few of the links again and they all work great, first shot. All downloads start immediately, no problem at all from where we sit… There is no geographic restriction either.

If you’re still having issues, make sure your browser isn’t blocking anything and see this previous comment for some additional suggestions.

  15. FYI the CS3 Web Premium is not valid…….I purchased this years ago and still have the license on file with adobe….but my disks were broken. How can I download this?

    Reply
  16. FYI, You cannot use Google Chrome……That was my problem…I loaded up IE and all is good…I think it is how it stores session cookies for the Adobe account. Glad I tried it again!

    • Glad you got it working Paul. We use Chrome exclusively and have never had a problem, and actually don’t often recommend Internet Explorer because it sometimes drops the filename extensions on downloaded files.

But it’s absolutely true that if you don’t have any luck with one browser, try another as it can often make a difference. So thanks for letting us know.
