Ok, ProDesign :)
Gotcha mate, there was a Cookie problem :)
Cheers mate
Just got us out of a jam! Could not re-install our previously-purchased Acrobat X until we found this article. Thanks a million for the direct download link!
That’s great Mark, really glad to hear it and thanks for letting us know it helped!
I followed the download instructions exactly, signed into my Adobe account as instructed, had to add the .exe extension to the downloaded file as mentioned in a previous comment, etc…. However, I still have a problem. There is only one install program for both the Standard and Pro editions….it apparently defaults to the Pro edition, but my registered license with Adobe is for the Standard edition, and no matter what I do, Adobe keeps rejecting my license/serial number as invalid, even though I copied it directly from the “MyAdobe” site and pasted it into the registration key field. Any suggestions?
Hi Donna, there is no Acrobat X Standard trial (only the Pro version, as listed here) – and from what we’ve heard, the Pro trial version doesn’t accept a Standard serial number…
If you have lost or misplaced your discs, or no longer have access to them or to your original Acrobat X download through your online Adobe ID account (if applicable), then regrettably we can’t help out there. Sorry about that!
Update: After more digging, we did find a version of Acrobat X Standard and have included the direct links in the original article above. However it is not a free trial and does require a valid serial number to install and run.
Whenever I try to open the link for Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard for a reinstallation, I get this message:
Access Denied
You don’t have permission to access “…/Applications/Acrobat/APRO/9/trials/AcroPro90_efg.exe” on this server.

Hey Luis, it all does work fine – just make sure you carefully follow the download instructions given in the article above (near the top of this page), otherwise you will get that type of message.
That should take care of it for you. But if still no luck for some reason, then clear your browser cache & cookies and try again – or try a different browser, computer, and/or Internet connection (avoid Wi-Fi).
Am I missing it, or are there no direct download links for Acrobat 9 Professional for Mac (Intel)? If they are elsewhere, I would appreciate a redirection.
Thank you for this site. It has helped me much!
Thanks for your kind words Ed, and wish we could help in your current quest – but as far as we know, for the Mac, direct links or trial versions were not available before Acrobat X….
The good news is you can indeed find a free trial version of Acrobat XI Pro on Mac OS (the latest release), if you wish.
Just wasted 500 MB on my hotspot to download Acrobat X Pro (full version) – it says in the official system requirements that it runs on VISTA Home, etc. So why do I get the error message “this version does not run on my system”? Did I waste my money too?? GREAT!!
Hello Sonja, is your Windows Vista computer running SP2 (Service Pack 2) per the specifications? If not, then that could explain it.
Dear Team,
Thank you for this great site.
The Adobe-Support gave me the link for Downloading Acrobat 10 Standard. They could not supply the Installer and my disk is broken. But the Download-File at your site can only install the Pro-Version. Do you have an installer or an ISO for the Acrobat 10 Standard Version, too?
Thanks in advance.
Ralf
Welcome Ralf, you’re welcome and really wish we could help, but unfortunately you cannot convert an Acrobat Pro free trial to permanent with a ‘Standard’ serial number… and there is no separate Acrobat Standard trial available… (just Pro that you see here)
Please see this earlier comment for more details. Sorry!
Update: We later located a version of Acrobat 10 Standard and have added it to the original post above. However it is not a free trial version; it does require a valid serial number to install or run.
@ralf
Can you please share the link for Acrobat X Standard Edition Link with us. :)
Cheers n Regards
Well that’s what we were just saying – a separate free trial version of Acrobat Standard doesn’t seem to exist (so cannot be shared), even for the Acrobat XI release.
Update: See our previous reply for more information about Acrobat X Standard.
Thanks! It worked like a songbird!
I have a serial number for Acrobat 9 Standard. The only download I see for Acrobat 9 is “Acrobat 9 Pro/Standard.” However, when I download this file, it only gives me the option to install Acrobat 9 Professional and the serial number I have for Acrobat 9 Standard does not work. Where do I go to download Acrobat 9 Standard?
Hi Patrick, the free trial link above will let you demo the features of both the Standard and Pro releases – however because it is technically a Pro version, the Standard serial numbers will not work to activate it (sorry)…
We have looked but are unaware of the existence of any Acrobat 9 Standard trial download… If anybody does know if/where one exists, feel free to comment!
Update: We did eventually find an old version of Acrobat 9 Standard and have included it in the original article above.
the acrobat 9 pro trial above is half the size of acrobat 9 pro from the cs5 collection. why is that? what is missing in this one? aren’t they both version 9?
so then which version of 9 pro does the cs5 master collection have? this one or that one?
thanks!
Hey George, that’s a good question. It’s the standalone version of Acrobat on this page, and the suite version on the other…
So the CS5 Master Collection would have the Acrobat 9 Pro version linked on the CS5 page, and a newer Master Collection would have the Acrobat X Pro version linked on the CS5.5 or CS6 pages. The Creative Cloud has the latest release, Acrobat XI Pro.
Otherwise, for an individual (non-suite and non-cloud, aka point product) release of Acrobat, you’d use the direct download links here (above), or on the Acrobat XI page.
tell me where I can download the installer for Russian acrobat standard 10? and then I rearranged and distributive system where it was lost and now I can not find anywhere installer
Hmm, in Russian? Apologies Den, we don’t have that here and couldn’t tell you where to get it at this point. Sorry!
I have adobe acrobat x pro and i need to download it on a new device. How do I do this? Every website wants me to download the trial. I do not need the trial, I need to know how to input my product code. Please help.
Thanks,
Amanda
Hello Amanda, it’s the same thing… Just download and install the free trial here, and then enter your serial number when it asks you – that will convert it into the full version.
I recently uninstalled Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard and went to MyAdobe account to download and reinstall. Although I have my serial number, there are no links to install A9 Standard.
I found your website and I downloaded Acrobat 9 Standard, but I keep getting an error message that the serial number is invalid.
Before this happened because Adobe has a link to Standard but it is actually Pro. This does not appear to be the case with the download from your site.
Any help very much appreciated.
Greetings David, it is definitely Acrobat 9 Standard that we have direct linked above (the English, French, German edition) – which is not a trial and does require a valid purchased serial number to install/run…
However, if the download is successful but you’re having issues with your serial number, then unfortunately we have no power or control over licensing issues – you’d have to contact Adobe directly about that.
Sorry we could not help more!
Hi there!
I have downloaded the two files for Adobe Acrobat X Suite ( ASTE_AcrobatSte_10_WWEFD.exe and ASTE_AcrobatSte_10_WWEFD.7z ) Can I trouble you for the MD5 and/or SHA1 hash values for both of these files so I can verify that they downloaded correctly and are intact before I install the program?
Thanks so much for your help, and Happy New Year to you!! :-)
Sorry Lucy, we don’t have those available. But generally if you can successfully extract the files and begin the installer (and subsequently complete the installation process without any issues or errors), then you can be sure that everything is fine.
We recommend using a wired (rather than wireless or Wi-Fi) connection if/where possible as it’s more robust. But overall, very few visitors ever have difficulties with the downloads provided they first carefully follow the download instructions we give in the article.
Please also be aware that the “Acrobat Suite” product was discontinued by Adobe a long time ago and you are unlikely to be able to find a safe/legitimate version for sale anywhere.
I receive this message when I tried to download the older version ADOBE 9 STANDARD on this site:
Access Denied
You don’t have permission to access “…/Applications/Acrobat/APRO/9/trials/AcroPro90_efg.exe” on this server.

Yes Edward, it’s because you need to carefully follow the important download directions first, before clicking on any of the Acrobat direct links – otherwise you will get that exact message instead.
I have downloaded the Acrobat 9.0 Standard (Acro9_Win_Web_WWEFG.exe) file and get an error message every time I try to install it. I have re-downloaded it several times. I am installing on Windows 7 Pro 64bit. The error message reads: “This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package.”
I am logged in as an administrator and run the exe using the right-click “run as administrator” and also just running it by double clicking. The exe is on the desktop, extracts to the desktop, and runs from the desktop (up until the error). Ideas?
@Nils Larsen
Hello again, I figured out the problem was a sharing issue with the Virtual Machine’s host that did not allow access to the installer. All is well now.
Ah, OK – that’s good to hear Nils, and thanks for letting us know how you worked it out! That will benefit the next visitor if they get the same message.
I downloaded the “Acro9_Win_Web_WWEFG.exe” on a windows 8.1 computer. When I double click on the file to open I get a message asking what program I want to open it up with? Any suggestions?
Yes Michael, guessing that your web browser may have dropped a file extension(s) when downloading… That happens sometimes, especially if you are using IE (Microsoft Internet Explorer). But if there’s no longer an extension, then your computer wouldn’t know how to open/process the files.
On Windows, make sure the first (small) file has a .exe extension and the second (large) file has a .7z extension. If not, then just rename the file(s) to add back the extension(s) at the end, and you should then be able to proceed from there.
I have finally found and downloaded acrobat 9 standard but now it says my serial no. is invalid. How does anyone get help from adobe. What can I do?
Hey Paula, we actually have the old Acrobat 9 (both Pro & Standard) installers direct-linked above – but if you’re having trouble with the serial number or licensing, then that’s something we really don’t have any power to help with, sorry!
You’d have to contact Adobe directly about that – via live online chat is usually fastest/easiest:
http://www.AdobeAssistance.com/
Good luck!
Hi,
Thanks! This is really useful.
Would it be possible to obtain Acrobat X Pro Trial version IN SPANISH?
Hi Angel, these are old programs but we found what you requested… Please be sure to follow the same instructions before you click and download, otherwise the direct links will not work:
Windows – Acrobat X Pro trial in Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and Dutch
(572 MB)
Windows – Acrobat X Pro trial in Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and Dutch
(479 MB)
And for good measure:
Windows – Acrobat X Pro trial in in Swedish, Danish, Finnish and Norwegian
(570 MB)
Mac OS – Acrobat X Pro trial in Swedish, Danish, Finnish and Norwegian
(478 MB)
I’m looking for Acrobat 8 Standard Install. I have a valid license that I deactivated on a computer that to be wiped and reloaded. I just don’t have the media to do the installation.
Sorry Scott, all we have is Acrobat 8 Pro (for Windows), given in the post above. If anybody has a link for the Acrobat 8 Standard download (if it still exists), then feel free to post it!
@ProDesignTools
Maybe you can find Acrobat X Pro Trial version IN russian?
Try the new Acrobat DC free trial instead – you can still buy it as standalone perpetual desktop software if you prefer, or via subscription… and it comes in 26 different languages.
I have a valid license Acrobat X Pro and I just don’t have the media to do the installation.
Hello Den, normally one would could download and use the Acrobat X installers above – keeping in mind though that these programs are 5 years old, and not updated by Adobe anymore for security.
However to our knowledge, the free trials were never available in Russian – sorry!
@ProDesignTools
why it does not support – this year came 4 or 5 security updates. and no extra money right now to buy a new license – in our country the war. and I live in a war zone
Very sorry Den, it is Adobe’s standard policy to provide five years of product support from the general availability date of Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader. In line with that policy, support for Adobe Acrobat 10.x and Adobe Reader 10.x will end on November 15, 2015. For more details, see:
Adobe Acrobat X and Adobe Reader X End of Support
It’s just the way that software works; it’s nothing personal or specific!
It’s really unfortunate that you don’t have the media for your product. We can locate direct download links for Acrobat X Pro and Standard in other languages like Japanese, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Swedish, Danish, Finnish, and Norwegian, but we cannot find Russian – sorry!
