I own Lightroom 3 and am currently working with the Lightroom 4 beta. I will be upgrading as soon as available. I’m finding the photo book module of Lightroom 4 worth exploring.
I plan to purchase (or hopefully win a free copy) of Lightroom 4 once it is available to use to organize and catalogue my photos from my new Pentax K-5.
Hi,
I’m testing LR4 and looking forward to upgrading as there are several features worth mentioning. First of all the new process – it is a big step forward. Secondly, unified basic adjustment group in the development module. Next on the list is extended control in local adjustment and soft proofing. And last, but not least, adding geotagging and video functionality.
I work with photographs so Lr4 will just be another powerful adobe program to use.
I will use Adobe Lightroom to organize my photos.
I am a newcomer to LR3 and loving it. Organizing and cleaning up 10 years worth of photos. Pulling out all the keepers with touchup. Evaluating LR4 beta.
I would plan to use Lightroom to process and organize photos taken by myself and my sister, partner in photography.
I will continue to learn and embrace the power and functionality of Lightroom to catalog and construct my final images for clients and projects.
I am running lightroom 3 and look forward to lightroom 4.
I really need to get my photos organized, so I would use Lightroom primarily for sorting and cataloging.
I’m a newbie to LR3 and use it for photo organization and processing.
I am not a professional photographer, however, I do a lot of photos for friends and my business. I use Lightroom 3 for organization and photo enhancements. The features of Lightroom 3 are superb. I found Lightroom 3 very easy to learn. I have the beta of Lightroom 4, but 3 works just fine for me.
I would to use Lightroom for the majority of my works with photos: organize and edit my great collection of RAW files. In LR4, in fact, is improved the edit section.
I’ve tried LR 4 and I really appreciate the “Highlight and shadow recovery” and “Additional local editing controls” (but practically all the Develop features!). Great!
1) Yes, LR3
2) Yes, Develop and soft proofing
3) Develop and soft proofing and keeping track of my movies.
•Do you plan to buy or upgrade to Lightroom 4, and what version are you running now?
I do plan to upgrade to LR 4 at some point. I currently run LR 3 and really like it. I would love to win a copy since it would probably be a little while before I can upgrade.
I have not purchased Lightroom in the past, but I will be purchasing LR4.
I just started using Lightroom 3 can’t wait to see what has been added in Lightroom 4.
I am using Lightroom 3 right now. Not sure if I am going to upgrade as I just purchased 3 for Christmas gift to myself.
I plan on using Lightroom to help organize and edit some of the most important photos I have; those of my family! And of course those I take of others too…
I want to use Adobe Lightroom to organize and edit – enhance my photos taken with new DSLR camera.
I’ve been using Lightroom since the beginning, and I’m actually using LR3. I’m not a professional photographer, but as a graphic designer, I greatly appreciate the power of this software that is the best alternative to Photoshop. I will surely buy the 4th version, unless I win one!
I’ve been away from photography for some years now and just recently began to get back into it. My Photography friend says this is a great program so I’m trying to win one for myself to try. I used Photoshop in my Medical Illustration job many years ago. I’d like to be more creative and be able to retrieve my photos without a lot of hassle. Thanks for the opportunity.
Rebecca
I’m currently trialing Lightoom 4 after being an Elements user for 4 years.
I’m loving the additional control and processing control you have.
I will def be buying (If not upgrading) If I don’t win a copy!
I plan to upgrade to Lightroom 4, I have Lightroom 3 now
