  1. I just love Lightroom.

I’m an Advanced Amateur. In photography for more than 40 years. Using Lightroom since version 1.

I teach Lightroom on Mac and on PC.

  2. I hope to upgrade to Lightroom 4, but I have challenged myself to first become familiar with Lightroom 3 which I currently own. This way I’m not just tossing my money away after more software that may potentially sit unused. :) I have checked out the new features in Lightroom 4 and I know that a lot of pro photogs are really excited about its release. I’m interested in the new basic video editing feature as well as the new process version and changes to local adjustments. As a serious photography hobbyist, I currently use Lightroom 3 (and hopefully at some point Lightroom 4) for personal use.

  3. I can’t wait until LR4 is released.

I’m a photographer and I’m trying to get into the LR workflow, and have been told this is the route to go.

  4. I’ll be getting LR4, because of the new video color grading features. I really wanted to try the beta but haven’t had the chance yet.

  5. I am just about to graduate college and have heard about LR, but have never tried it, so I will be downloading the beta version to give it a test run. If it is anything like the rest of the Adobe products, it will be the gold standard around which all others compare themselves. I also can’t wait for CS6

  6. I would use LR4 to improve my workflow for downloading and organizing all my image files. Right now, my workflow is not very efficient; I use a combination of iPhoto and Finder.

  7. I am currently using Elements 7 and 9. I also just started using Premiere Elements 9. I also have CS3 which I am still trying to figure out. I’ve heard all about LR and have done lots of research but haven’t gotten it yet but I want it bad.

I’m going to download the trials and then I will be able to compare the two. I just started up my own business a few years ago so I am in the baby stages of learning but I am eager to grow.

  8. Do you plan to buy or upgrade to Lightroom 4, and what version are you running now?

    – considered buying 3 but holding off for 4 now.

Have you run the beta or checked the new features in LR4? Which is your favorite?

    – no

What do you plan to do with Adobe Lightroom 4, how would/will you use it?

    – amateur photographer who’s starting out but I want a good piece of software for photo editing.

  9. Yes, I am looking forward to getting LR4.

Used LR3 on friends’ PC and saw what I have been missing. I am relatively new to photography, but really want to learn and grow. I love photography !

  10. Features that I love. 1.) LR4 background mode 2.) clarity brush 3.) teeth whitening 4.) Iris enhance

I had been using LR2, test drove the last version of LR3, loved it was going to purchase it when I heard about LR4. Beta testing now. Smooth no bumps. Though for some reason clarity seems to work better on LR3. Just waiting for CS6 and LR4 to upgrade and purchase.

  11. I’ve been running LR3 and look forward to getting LR4 to see what new processing upgrades are available. I’ve just discovered that the LR4 beta is released, but am a bit hesitant to move over to the new version until I own it.

  12. I have Lightroom 3 and 4 Beta in. If I had/have the money as some point I would purchase 4 being the newest. With my husband losing his job and I am trying to catch up in this field again hoping to make some soft of income, disabled but I don’t receive disability, housebound on oxygen this is the only thing I can think of to do, resume a one time job, and give it a shot, wonderful software. Thanks for the chance.
