  1. I haven’t run beta and I don’t want to buy upgrate, but I think this program is the best way for fotographers to optimize photos. I need it to do it.

  2. 1. I would certainly like to upgrade to LR4. I am currently using LR3.6
    2. I have not yet tried the beta version, but will give it a go.
    3. I will use LR4 the same as I use LR3, that is for personal cataloging, images for club use and competitions.

  3. I’m running ver 3 and will upgrade when budget allows.

I’ll be using it primarily for preparing photos for inclusion in newsletters and websites.

  4. I’m using PhaseOne Capture One Express 6. I try LR4 Beta and… wow… all in one: RAW Editor, Photomanager, Print layouts…. only 3: EASY & QUICKLY. Nikon D90 + LR4 = My job.

    Thanks for giveaway.

  5. What do you plan to do with Adobe Lightroom 4, how would/will you use it?

I’d like to improve the look of my holiday photos :)

    Best regards

  6. After the demo I now know how to use the GPS feature, so I’m sold on the new LR4.

I have a Pentax K5 DSLR and the Pentax GPS accessory would be useful but now I can use my Sony Xperia Arc Android or my Sony Cybershot DSC-TX100v camera to do the GPSing.

    Thanks for the inspiration.

  7. I run Lightroom 3 and plan to upgrade to 4.

Haven’t seen the beta (and not planning to install it either), but looking forward to better movie support and the new features in the Develop module.

  9. Yes, I have been trying out the Beta and it’s fabulous! I currently use Lightroom to process photos both for personal use, and for product photography

  10. I am using the latest upgrade version of Lightroom 3. It’s the only photo editing software I use (aside from Elements 10 when needed). I will not be upgrading to LR4 till the official release has been out there for other photographers to review.

  11. I am not running Lightroom 3 now. Have been waiting for v.4 to become available. Need permanent program, so the trial of beta will not do it for me. I plan to organize my picture files, enhance them to the extent possible in Lightroom, then bring them into Photoshop Elements for final enhancement.

  12. I am using LR 3, and have downloaded LR 4. I will upgrade because of the soft proofing, and the ability to publish to Blurb directly, although I have used InDesign in the past.

  13. I’m at a point in my career where “Fine Art Photography” sounds a lot better than lugging gear all over the place! I have 35K+ images (Trans. & Neg.) spanning 40 some years and like so many shooters, I’ve spent more time shooting than cataloging. I currently own LR v3 and the “new features” I’ve seen in R4 would be a fantastic help in the task I now face. I think R4 is something I’ve been waiting for years and now Adobe’s finally come up with it!

  14. LR 4 rocks! I teach it along with CS5 and Painter. I’m a lecturer on the subject, and Adobe ACE, and a pro photographer…the new Books and Maps modules are very promising, and the Print module has been vastly improved. In my opinion, a photographer without LR is wasting time that would be better spent behind the camera.

  15. I am using Lr 2.7 to catalog and develop my raw images. I plan to use Lr 4 similarly. I haven’t yet tried the alpha version of Lr4 but I’ve read reviews and promotional materials.
