I plan on buying LR4 for wedding photography – don’t use LR3 (PS CS3 at the moment)
I’m new to photography and I’ve tested LR3 and I love it. I like the new features in LR4 so let’s keep up with good photography.
I’ll be upgrading to a semi professional Canon slr camera within a couple of months and plan to purchase a few photo enhancement programs. Also, I need to work on many shoeboxes of slides and negatives before printing the best ones for family members. Hopefully, with the right equipment, I won’t be volunteering years of my life doing this project!
I’m currently running LR3, version 3.5.
I have downloaded the LR4 beta, and really appreciate the added coverage of video files. In addition, the change where Fill Light adjustment is replaced by adjustments to Highlights, Shadows, etc. looks to be more flexible when adjusting a photo, although I currently need to learn lots more about this.
I have version 3 and am planning to upgrade,
I currently run LR 3. I will probably upgrade eventually. I have not tried LR 4 so I will have to play with it to make my final decision.
I would use Adobe Lightroom 4 for my photography hobby.
I plan on upgrading to LR4. I currently run version 3, and I’ve tried the beta for version 4. I like the beta, but there are some restrictions with what you can do with catalogues, and that’s frustrating (only applies to the beta, thankfully).
What excites me about LR4 is that the sharpening / noise reduction seems to be even more refined, and also the integration with Blurb bookmaking is exciting. I will definitely be utilizing that.
I have, but am not currently using LR1. I feel I have waited long enough, and plan to switch to LR4 when it comes out of beta. Will down load the beta to experiment with the new features.
I will be upgrading to 4 as soon as it is out…
Trying to master Lightroom 2 with Scott Kelby assistance. Will upgrade soon. Sure would be nice to have the top of the line LR4. All my friends use Photoshop, but I am staying with LR.
I currently use Lightroom 3 but have intentions to upgrade, looking forward to all the new features.
I have LR3 and I have run the beta and I like the renaming/function of the sliders for highlight/shadows/black/white.
I will probably update if the cost is reasonable.
I’m currently running LR3, but hopefully will be upgrading to LR4 right after I win a free copy.
I have LR 3.6, and will probably upgrade to LR4.
I have been a part of the beta-testing! After using my version 3 for the past year, I love the changes made in v4, and look forward to using the real version full time to create even more beautiful photographs for fans and clients! Perhaps I will even make a book. I am so excited about this software!
I didn’t plan to upgrade because I only just bought version 3 last summer, so I haven’t tried the beta, but I would love to win the new version when it is released. I’m an amateur photographer and I use LR every day to organize and process my photos. Thank you for the chance!
I’m especially excited about the new editing tools. As a nature and wildlife photographer I’m usually shooting in less than ideal conditions and the list of new features seem to be added especially for me. Highlight and shadow recovery, white-balance brush, localized editing for specific parts of the image and soft-proofing have me ready to jump in with both feet. I’ve been using another package but these new features along with the existing strengths of LR3 have prepared me to jump ship as soon as the release. In the meantime I’ll be working out with the beta and try to get my chops there.
I am currently running Elements. Although I am pleased with the results, the added features of Lightroom are drawing me to consider an upgrade.
I use Lightroom 3 for most of my work. I plan on upgrading as soon as Lightroom 4 is released. I absolutely love Lightroom. It makes the post processing of photographs so much simpler. The workflow with Lightroom is vastly improved over other methods. From organizing photographs to processing to exporting them. I don’t think that I will ever be without Lightroom.
Like Adobe, Like Flash, Like design, Like photography, LR4 i need…. ;)
Using Lightroom 3, v 3.5
New feature in Lightroom beta 4, capturing a still from a video
Awesome and easy
I have been using Photoshop to edit my images but have recently been introduced to Lightroom. I do plan on purchasing the program when v4 is released. LR is much simpler to use and the categorizing and batch processing elements make it very useful for my purposes.
I’m running the beta version of 4 right now and LOVE it! It’s been my first experience with LR, and I am totally in love.. We’re upgrading our camera shortly, so it seem like the two events go hand in hand.. :)
I have Lightroom 3 (and have had versions 1 and 2 previously) I am a full-time professional underwater photographer and use LR to import catalog and adjust all my images. I do plan to upgrade to V4 when it is released. Lightroom is the cornerstone of my workflow.
I am trying out the LR4 beta, The new selective white balance adjustment in the develop module is an amazing tool for underwater photography.
