The direct links below go to the authentic and original files residing on Adobe’s servers, are guaranteed genuine and will not change. For Windows, each program consists of up to two files, an .exe and a 7-Zip file (.7z). The .exe file will only work when the .7z file is fully downloaded and resides in the same location. For the Mac, it’s just a single .dmg file for each program. Languages included are English, French/Français, German/Deutsch, Spanish/Español, Portuguese/Português, Korean and Japanese.

Adobe Captivate is now available only as a native 64-bit application to achieve higher performance. UPDATE (June 2016) – Adobe has now added a 32-bit version for the Captivate 9.0.1 release. (If you’re unsure what architecture your Windows computer is, see this page.)
Captivate 9 – Windows 32-bit (1.4 GB): File 1 File 2
Captivate 9 – Windows 64-bit (1.7 GB): File 1 File 2
Captivate 9 – Downloadable Assets – Windows (1.4 GB): File 1

Captivate 9 – Downloadable Assets – Mac (1.4 GB): File 1
Captivate 9 – NeoSpeech Text–to-Speech Voices – Mac (1.7 GB): File 1
See the complete system requirements for Captivate 9 to make sure your computer is ready before proceeding with installation.
You do not need to uninstall previous versions of Captivate; some users prefer to keep the older, familiar version(s) around as they come up to speed with the new product’s features, and some folks even have five different versions of Cp installed all on the same computer.
You can easily convert a free 30-day trial installed on your computer to an unrestricted version by purchasing the software and entering the serial number.
We suggest using a browser other than Internet Explorer to download the files above. They can be quite large and IE has been known to drop the extension (like “.exe”) from the Windows filename. If this happens and you can’t open a file, then just rename it to add back the extension. But generally, using Firefox or Chrome will work better – and if you have any issues getting the downloads to work with one browser, then try another.

@TL
Hey TL, not sure if you ever resolved it, but I was able to chat online with Adobe support, and they provided an ftp link for downloading the 32-bit version of the voice files. I’m not sure if we’re allowed to post links here, so just let me know if you want me to email that link to you directly. Otherwise, you can get the link from Adobe directly as well.
Hi Earl, thanks for posting! If it’s something that Adobe Customer Service gave you to help solve a software problem, then sure – it should be OK and fine to post it here for all customers to benefit… Thanks!
@Earl Jman
Hi Earl, I am also looking for the 32-bit version of the NeoSpeech Voice files for Captivate… Would you be able to share the link?
@Needhelp
Here you go, hope it still works:
ftp://sjftp.adobe.com/PPBU/Cp9Neo_32Bit.zip
Thanks very much Earl. Unfortunately it appears that link now requires a user name and password… Did Adobe give you one by chance?
@Earl Jman
Thanks Earl, would the user name and password be that of the software license user’s?
You could give that a shot… We tried using an Adobe ID and password, but it didn’t seem to work.

Thanks Shambu!
Is the problem resolved?
We’re presuming you’re referring to the 32-bit version of the NeoSpeech Voice files for Captivate 9… Sorry, we haven’t heard anything further about it.
However, there is a 32-bit version of the NeoSpeech Text–to-Speech Voices available for Captivate 2017 (version 10)… Not sure if that will work with Captivate 9 or not? But it seems worth a shot – please check it out and let us know how it goes:

ProDesign:
I just downloaded and installed Captivate 9. When I try to buy, Adobe sells me Captivate 2017. I need C9 for some client work. Help! –Leslie
Sorry Leslie, Adobe has discontinued Captivate 9 and upgraded it to Captivate 10… They stopped selling Captivate 9 when that happened earlier this year.
However, the good news is that Captivate 2017 (version 10) can read/open files and projects created by earlier releases of Captivate, including version 9. Although, not the other way around – see:
How to open a Project from Captivate 2017 in Captivate 9?
I know this discussion is old, but the 64-bit, file 1 for Captivate 9 link no longer takes you to the download file. You can’t load captivate 9 unless you download and install file 1 and file 2. Does anyone know of another place to get that first file?
thanks
Hey Brandan, please read this important update on the availability of Adobe direct download links, as it impacts older versions of Captivate as well:
Adobe Limits Software Version Downloads, Including Some Direct Links
However, you may still be able to download and install Captivate 9 on Windows using just File 2 together with a utility such as 7-Zip, as File 1 is very small and primarily functions as an extractor.
The macOS version, however, has been pulled completely by Adobe (we cannot explain the inconsistencies in the different file availabilities).
@ProDesignTools
Hi. Thank you very much for the response. I was able to use 7zip to extract the second file and install it.
I will be buying the current version of captivate as soon as my manager approves it. thanks again.
@ProDesignTools
Trying to download File 2 for Captivate 9 and keep getting an Access Denied error.
Is there anywhere else to download the 7z file, as I have already downloaded the .exe file
Thanks
Hi Ryan, all the links here still work fine (just tested). Please make sure to carefully follow the important download instructions given above (required by Adobe’s servers), before clicking – otherwise the Captivate direct links won’t work and you’ll get that exact message instead.
Thanks.
Was still logged into the adobe website, but I assume that it had timed out or wasn’t being recognised.
Signed out and back in on the adobe website and all fixed.
Great, glad to hear it! Thanks for letting us know you got it downloaded.
