  1. Dear prodesigntools,

Thanks for these links, but when I try to click them nothing happens. Nothing at all. What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks

  2. Would the 30-day trial downloads be advisable for grade 3-12 students who are taking the class at school but can’t afford to purchase the software for home?

  3. Hi Prodesigntools,

Thanks, I have followed the download instructions to the point, as well as read through the previous comments as you told me to. Still when I come here nothing happens with the direct links, I still can’t download from your site. Can you help me?

    • Hello again Edgar, some folks just have difficulty downloading from Adobe’s servers – we’ve never been sure why… If you’re following the instructions to the letter, it should work (and it does here).

Here are some more things to try that come from our older CS5 direct links page, but all of them continue to apply here. Your best option may be to to use a different browser / computer / connection, however you can. Or sometimes just waiting a little while also seems to resolve the issue, oddly enough.

You can of course always try it using Adobe’s Download Assistant with the “standard” way, as well. Or, just order the official trial DVD’s from them there. Good luck.

  4. If you offer free download trials for Adobe InDesign CS 5.5, you should at least help assist in the download process. How can I get positive results otherwise?

    • Welcome Rose, what problem are you having in particular? Can you be specific? Have you carefully followed each and every step of the download instructions given in the article above?

We provide this page as a courtesy in accordance with our partnership with Adobe, and try to answer whatever queries we can… Hundreds of people successfully download the official trials through here every day without difficulty.

  5. Access Denied

You don’t have permission to access “…/DSGN/CS5_5/osx10/DesignStandard_CS5_5_LS1.dmg” on this server.

  6. I was having problems downloading the trial software because of admin user settings not allowing installation of Adobe’s Download Assistant. Your links made it possible to get the software to use with my student license. Thanks!

    • Great to hear – thanks for letting us know KM! You’re in good company – some folks do have problems with the Adobe Download Assistant and would like to get the trials without it, or use their own download manager… so, glad to help.

  7. Help!!!!! I’m getting the same results as Ep

You don’t have permission to access “…/DSGN/CS5_5/osx10/DesignStandard_CS5_5_LS1.dmg” on this server.

I’ve tried two different browsers !

    • Hi Chad, unfortunately Adobe’s download servers seem to be having some hiccups lately as there are quite a few people getting access denied, and we’re getting flooded with comments… Those links still work OK on our end however.

Please see the recommendations we gave in several comments to another visitor on our CS5 trials page.

  8. I see the point. You mean that the LS7 is the FULL language pack (including LS1+LS2+LS3+LS4+LS5+LS6=LS7?) for Production Premium. Then can I get the master collection LS7??

    Reply
    • Well, LS7 is indeed a “roll-up” of all languages, but it is not available for all products… So Master Collection is configured in several language packages. We’ve never been sure why Adobe bundles the different Creative Suite applications differently, but that’s the way it is.

But yes, you can copy these links and then change the number after the “LS” to whatever you want, if you need other languages than what are listed on this page… Here’s a quick “cheat sheet” to Adobe’s different LS language designations which should help.

With illustrator I understand it is the tool, but when I download it there isn’t anything. You can’t go from essentials to photoshop or use the pen tool because there is no pen tool. Nothing is there to operate the tool.

  10. Right, when I try to download the After Effects File 2, it will not download. It will give me an error page and don’t say “try a different browser” or “clear your cache”, because I have done that many many times, I have tried Lunascape, Maxthon 2 & 3, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, the list can go on. I am not stupid with computers, I have read the instructions many times. And I have reset my router. It’s something wrong with Adobe. Either re-upload it to your OWN server, or delete the links, or even forewarn the people here that the links don’t even work anymore.

    • Greetings Josh. Just stepped through the article’s instructions with that exact link (After Effects CS5.5 English File 2) from our end, and it downloads here without difficulty. So yes, you’re right that it must be something you’re encountering with Adobe’s servers, however we cannot mirror or copy or upload the files somewhere else – that is not permitted by Adobe, and we are official partners of theirs so are always very careful about the rules.

But here’s a copy of a detailed list of suggestions that should hopefully help you out…

Large file downloads can sometimes be tricky, but please be assured the downloads are real and do work with hundreds of people using them every day, although of course each person’s system and configuration is different.

Here are several steps to try if you’re having trouble:

      1. Number one is to review the detailed instructions above and make sure you’re following them carefully – hopefully you are.

      2. Adobe recommends you temporarily turn off any surfing restrictions you might have set up on your computer, e.g., pop-up and site blockers, hosts exclusions, firewalls or antivirus software (esp. Kaspersky), etc.; and allow third-party cookies.

      3. Try a different browser, or computer, or Internet connection, or location – each time going back to step #1. Use a wired connection if you can, rather than wireless/wifi.

      4. Sometimes the status within your Adobe account can get crossed up. Try logging out of Adobe.com, clearing all Adobe cookies on your browser, clear the browser cache too (and/or use a different browser or machine), then restarting and logging in again with the instructions above. If still no luck, repeat that but create a brand new Adobe ID account for yourself first.

      5. It may sound strange, but wait a while before trying the downloads again – then start again from the top. Believe it or not, sometimes simply waiting a day or two does the trick when nothing else seems to work – and comments from dozens of people have confirmed this.

      6. Consider installing a good download manager of your own, to try to better manage the size. You’ll find a recommended selection at CNET here. Or if you’re already using one and it doesn’t work, try it without.

      7. See our popular troubleshooting article for CS5.5 downloads and installation. If the techniques listed there don’t help, the VP of Engineering for the Creative Suite is monitoring the comments section there to ask questions, provide feedback, and work through any problems.

      8. If you’ve already purchased the product you are trying to download, some of these CS5.5 downloads are simply quite large – so if all else fails and it’s seeming too difficult to download from the DDLs, just request the CD/DVD instead and it will be delivered to your home or business in short order.

      9. Or if you haven’t purchased yet but prefer to try before you buy, you can still get a trial DVD set shipped to you, for just $10-$15… This can serve as your backup media (a good idea) if you decide to purchase the product, or you can still get the full box delivered to you later per #7.

      Hope this helps!

  11. @ProDesignTools

I’ve done everything listed above for adobe after effects cs5.5 on several laptops, my neighbour’s computer, and my friend’s computer, and all have the same error. “Access Denied – you don’t have permission to access …”

Is it my area that I’m living in or something? Because I am seriously confused to hell now.

    Reply
  12. Again, it cannot be my area nor my ISP, because I’ve just asked someone to download the after effects cs5.5 link, who lives in the US, I live in the UK, and he’s on a different ISP to me.

    Reply
    • Hello again Josh, sorry you’re still having trouble. We just clicked on all the After Effects CS5.5 links above from a browser in our offices here, and they all download without difficulty. And believe it or not, we’ve never once experienced a single problem downloading the trials from the links here.

If you’ve been through everything suggested by the comments on this page, not sure what else to add… Try signing out of Adobe’s site, and then try the steps again both with signing in again beforehand, and then without signing in.

Or you could download the trials from somewhere else like Adobe’s official pages, using the Download Assistant – unless that doesn’t work either, which is perhaps why you’re here.

  13. This is a great public service you’re offering, many thanks.

Can you make it clear the download links you provide are direct from Adobe? They APPEAR to be links to files on your own servers, which put me off initially. (I’m sure you’re trustworthy but one can never be too sure.)

    Reply
    • You’re welcome Tom, and yes – every file linked on this page is absolutely coming from Adobe’s servers, in accordance with our partnership with them (it is not allowed any other way).

  14. I just purchased CS5 Extended…I LOVE it except for one problem I’m having…no matter what I try I can’t get my plug-in filters to show (Xenofex2, Eyecandy4000, Filters Unlimited etc etc etc)…it doesn’t matter if I install them into C:/Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS5/plugins or if I “point” to my plugins folder in Documents…they still don’t show…could anyone help me with this problem?

Hello, I now know why it wasn’t working for me. CS5.5 is for 64bit windows only, whilst CS4 is for both 32 bit and 64 bit.

I know this now because my friend downloaded it on his 32 bit PC, and nothing happened, same error message, whilst the 32bit cs4 worked without a hitch.
