Thank you a ton! It’s working now.
I have a 32-bit machine, I need CS4, not CS5. After downloading, I installed it. But now, I can’t buy it! How can I buy CS4? Adobe seems to have discontinued all support for actually buying it!

@Ian – Thank you for your question… You’re not alone. It’s difficult to find Adobe CS4 still for sale these days, and there are too many dangerous fakes – so here are our best recommendations:
Buy Adobe After Effects / Premiere Pro CS4, and Get CS5.5 Free
That way, you get CS4 for now, plus CS5.5 for the future – both authentic and safe… It’s a good option since your next computer is likely to be 64-bit and will run CS5.5.
Or:
Buy Adobe CS5.5 and Receive CS4 or CS5.0 Instead if Needed

Wonderful! I am a student at The University of New Mexico, so I assume I qualify.
However, I can’t find that offer on Adobe’s website? I see where I can get the CS5, but I don’t see where it bundles with CS4?

Yes, as a student you should qualify, just double-check Adobe’s eligibility requirements…
ALL copies of CS5 and CS5.5 Production Premium and Master Collection contain the extra 32-bit Support Package that includes After Effects CS4 and Premiere Pro CS4. You get this included whether you download the paid software or order the boxed version. The price of CS5.5 Production Premium for students is $449, and has all of this.

I have just bought a new mac book pro and i am used to windows so i dont know what i am doing wrong, i have downloaded the premiere pro cs4 and after effects cs4 and both messages i keep getting when i double click once the download has finished is: the following disk images could not be opened. Please help.
Hi Lauren, sorry you’re having difficulties with the installation. The first thing with an error like that is to make sure your downloaded files are complete and not corrupted using this checksum technique.
If the files look good then that’s not the problem, and you could try googling the error message to see what turns up (haven’t seen that one here before). Thanks and good luck!

Can the files be downloaded as zip files instead of the .exe versions from Adobe.com?
No, sorry – we don’t and won’t change the downloaded content at all, ever.
These original trial files are all being downloaded direct from Adobe’s servers and we aren’t allowed to repackage or modify them in any way.
when i download the trial file for cs3 and cs4 design premium, it is an unknown file type and it does not register as having a default program that can open it and i cannot open it

@Heath – Please see some of the earlier comments above yours…
@SGMax – The Extra Content files here are technically not required, but you’ll have the best experience with the software if you can add them. So, we recommend it if you have the time and disk space to download and install them.

when i try and download adobe after effects cs4 it simply goes to the adobe downloads page. =-(
Welcome sghandhi, for some reason that does tend to happen from time to time with the Adobe site. Please see Kate’s earlier comments, try the things she tried, and read the replies which follow – and that will hopefully help you work past the issue.
After i downloaded After Effects CS4, i cant seem to download Premiere Pro CS4. Every time when i click on the download link, it will direct me to the Adobe page and ask me to log in. Please help ):

Hey I am having a problem just like a lot of others are! When I click on “File #” to download, it sends me to an adobe page to sign in and get a free trial. After I sign in, it sends me to the download page for CS5.5! I want/need the Master Collection CS4 trial! I would appreciate any help possible! Thanks!
Hi Graham, if you’ve seen the other comments above when folks have run into difficulty, have you also read all the responses – and then done or tried what is suggested in those responses, which helped others achieve success in downloading the files?
Have you also carefully read and followed Adobe’s download instructions in the article above? It’s important to follow them to the letter.
Hundreds of people download these CS4 trials every day without problem, but occasionally some folks do run into an issue. Almost always they are solved with the information above. Thanks.

I tried everything! It keeps sending me to “Sign In to resume your trial download.”
I am signed in! I read everything you told me to.
Well Graham, as odd as it sounds, try this: time. Meaning, the best idea now is just to wait a little while… This visitor and this one too had similar issues which apparently resolved on their own after a little time had passed.
So, you might give it another shot tomorrow, with a different browser or computer if you can. Many people are successfully downloading these trials every day, so it does work 99% of the time.

please please please can somebody please help.. its been a whole month since i have been trying to install premiere pro cs4 on my computer.

Hello Imran, make sure the downloaded files are stored on the same disk drive as where you want to install the product to. For some reason, having them on different disks can trip up the installation… hope this helps!
I went through trying to make this work, only to get the warning “the licensing for this has stopped working. You should install uninstall, etc” The frustrating aspect of all of this is that I already own Flash on the mac, and need a PC version for work. So I go the parallels route, and it installs, and then this.
