I downloaded these two days ago without issue on another Mac in the office and am now trying on a second. I keep getting an HTTP 404 page. I’ve tried on 3 different systems in the office in Safari and in Chrome. Help! Our new Mac minis don’t have disc drives and I need these files!
Hey Jaimi, regardless of which computer or browser you use, you’ve got to very closely follow the step-by-step instructions given in the article above or you won’t be able to access the downloads.
If at that point you still have any difficulties, then try with a different web browser, computer, or Internet connection – all while still following those directions. Avoid Wi-Fi, as these can be large downloads and wireless connections are slower and less reliable than wired.
No, he’s right. Files seem to be down currently. The error message on the 404 page requests a Java file that isn’t there.
Everything works totally fine from our end, just tested again now. There is no Java here or anywhere with Adobe.
With these trial versions, of say Photoshop CS3 or CS4, if I download it, will I then have the opportunity to purchase it ? Is there pricing information for CS3 or CS4 available somewhere?
Hi Julian, that’s a good question… And the short answer is no.
But our question to you is: Why would you want to purchase those old versions instead of the newer (and much better) Photoshop CS6 or CC?
You’ll find a more complete answer to your question here.
Also received 404. Still down apparently. Just my luck that I missed access to it by 3 days or so >.<
Any ideas? I own CS4 and can't find the discs :(
@Rosa
You know what… ignore me. I skipped an important step. DERP
Hi
I downloaded all the versions of CS4, but my serial key is not recognised. How do I from my account determine what CS4 version I have, and how would I get my serial number to be accepted?
Thanks
Hello Al, you would just need to match the exact product name and o/s platform to a link in the table above. If your valid purchased serial number is not accepted, then there could be a problem somehow in your licensing (like perhaps you ran out of machine activations), and there’s nothing we can do here meaning you would need to contact Adobe directly to see if they could help.
I downloaded CS4 Illustrator and it worked great after I started the 30-day trial. However, after I finished working on a project and closed CS4 and tried opening it again, the product expired and it’s asking for a serial number. Is there any way to reset the trial period over?
If you get a 404 page then follow the instructions below:
1) Go to http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop_elements but do not download anything.
2) Copy the URL (link) in the table above for the file you wish to download.
3) Go to the Adobe page you opened on step 1 and paste the URL in the address bar (you need to delete first the previous URL) and press Enter.
4) Download will start automatically.
These instructions were given to me by Adobe because I was getting a 404 page. I don’t know how this thing works, but it does.
Welcome, thanks for helping. What this does is set an Adobe authentication cookie on your browser that allows you to access their downloads… The process you describe works and is another way of doing the key instructions we give in the article above. Glad you got it going!
Hi All,
I just downloaded CS4 Production Premium files 1, 2 & 3. Where exactly do I extract file 1 & 2?
For example the rar file is extracted on C:\Adobe\
The exe file on the same location? When I run it, it has a path C:\Users\Kon\Desktop\Adobe CS4\Production Premium
Greetings Kon, you don’t actually have to do anything with the .7z file(s) – just run the .exe file, which extracts the install package onto your Desktop…
Then go into the new Adobe folder on your Desktop and run the set-up.exe to start the software installation.
@tsouts
Strangely, this solution works!
Hello !
The links perfectly worked for me. I was having the “session has dependencies that cannot be satisfied” issue with the CS4 demo/trial version that I had, and this one worked like a charm.
Thank you very much.
When I downloaded the three files, file 2 downloaded with a .txt file extension and the .exe file wouldn’t run. It said the archive files were missing. I had to rename the .txt file as a .7z file and it worked after that. In case anyone else has the same problem!
Make sure you are logged into Adobe. Go to:
http://accounts.adobe.com
and sign in first, then try the links. Worked for me.
The file archive part of adobe is missing :S :(
Hey there, on Windows if there are two files given in the links table, then you need to download both files into the same folder on your computer.
You should have both a .exe file and a .7z file. If you don’t, then it’s likely your web browser (IE?) dropped the file extension when downloading, and you would need to rename it back. Then run the .exe file to start the process…
See our reply above to Jaimi for more assistance.
If you’ve done that and are still stuck for some reason, then check out Kate’s previous comments, what she tried, and the replies which follow.
Yes he was right I also have an error. Pls can you send it in my email {Adobe master collection cs3 extra content}
Hi,
Maybe a silly question but does anyone know how long these trials last?
Thanks
Sure Leeney, it’s 30 calendar days from when you first run them on your computer.
oh cheers great!
@Jaimi
Hi, I don’t know if you solved your problem, but I had the same issue and tried numerous times. Then using Firefox, I right mouse clicked and ‘saved link with download them all’ and they downloaded without a hitch!
Guys, that’s spot on!. We needed a copy of CS4 – we have a license from a long way back but no trace of the install CD anywhere on campus. Downloaded from here and works a treat. Very much appreciated.
PS to everyone: I signed in to my Adobe licensing account on another browser tab, came back to this page and downloaded with no prompts or need for proof. Just the job!
Can’t get the site to download CS4 Design Premium
What problem or message are you getting exactly Mike? Are you carefully following the download instructions in the article?
nice :)
Got them downloaded but will not open or extract
What message are you getting Mike? We can’t help without knowing that… Usually googling the exact text of the message will quickly give you the answer.
I’m sorry I did not make that clear. They download but will not open. No file is an executable file.
Ah, OK then. Here’s the solution to that.
CS4.0 design premium download – seemed to download completely. Error when clicking on .exe file. “Problem when extracting archive- download again….” Took 10 hours and over 3gb…….. What could be the problem?
Sorry Julianne, our best guess with a download time that long is that you have an incomplete or corrupted file… Please see this earlier comment for some other ideas.
Just like to say thank you to you guys for providing this service. I lost my CS4 disc and needed to re-install after a HD crash. Life saver (well a whole pile of cash anyway :-) After following the precise instructions it all worked perfectly.
