@Nathan
Sorry! Just read the previous posts; I know what they are now.
hey can someoone tell me if i didn’t download the download assistant from the link given above, but already have it on my computer and am signed in, will the links work?? because that is what’s happening. Please help!!
Hi Pranav, you don’t need the Adobe Download Assistant at all – in fact one purpose of the direct links is to avoid it entirely…
Also being logged in isn’t enough. Just make sure to follow the download instructions here closely step-by-step and you should be fine.
If you have any further difficulties, try with a different web browser, computer, or Internet connection. Avoid Wi-Fi when possible (use a cable instead), as wireless connections can be slower and less reliable.
Whenever I attempt to download any of the files, I get a 404 error. Tried File 1 – 3 for CS 4 Design Standard.
I already have the key, I just do not have the install media.
Hello Seth, did you follow the download directions in the article, near the top of this page?
Your ‘Click Here first” link in point 1 of the instructions now points to a download page for Acrobat XI – is this intentional??
Yes, definitely. Visiting that page at Adobe.com sets a session cookie on your browser that their servers require in order for you to be able to access the direct download links.
Thanks!
Downloaded files 1&2 of cs3 design premium (adbestdscs3_wwe, stdscs3_Cont_wwe) just fine…. setup.app initializes and then pops up a box telling me “Startup error – required resources are missing” and can not continue.
running mac os mavericks on a 27″ intel i5 iMac. Any Help?? thanks.
As we understand it, CS3 is not supported on newer Mac operating systems because the CS3 installer and some other components require Rosetta for compatibility, which was permanently removed by Apple some years ago.
Awesome, thanks! Worked fine for me :)
Followed the instructions to the letter for CS3 Master Collection, including different computers and browsers and just get 404 on all links.
Sorry you’re having difficulties DB. Sometimes Adobe’s servers are a bit finicky and what you have to do is just wait a while and try again, perhaps with a different browser or computer.
If you do that and then are still stuck for some reason, then check out Kate’s previous comments, what she tried, and the replies which follow.
I’ve tried multiple times over several days, and all I ever get is a 404 error.
Greetings Martin, we’ve just learned that Adobe made an unexpected change on their site this morning that temporarily broke these direct links… Sorry about that. However, the good news is that it’s all fixed and working again.
Just refresh this page (via Ctrl+R on Windows or Cmd+R on Mac), and then follow the download directions again from the top – and you should have no further problem.
I have been trying for days to download CS3 for Mac, but it keeps freezing at 443MB. I have a fast DSL connection so I’m wondering if there is anything else I can try. I got a new computer and misplaced my install disks. Fortunately I can get the key off the old computer! Thanks
It is downloading now. Must be the fix that you are telling Martin about just below.
Thanks!
And I’m getting a LR5 trial as well.
@Seth
I get the 404 error. How do I get around this.
Please see previous comment for some suggestions.
Thank you!!!
When i clink on the link and ‘save target as’ i only get dlm/
We’d suggest trying with a different web browser, computer, or Internet connection.
Also per the first step in the download instructions, make sure you’re not blocking or filtering anything with your browser (like cookies, sites, URLs, etc).
I downloaded the 4 files for Adobe after affects cs4 on my windows xp all in the same folder, but when I try to run the files it still says, “The file archive part is missing.”
Any suggestions or help? Thank You
Hey there Simon, see if this previous advice helps you out.
Hi , can I find ( Photoshop CS3 ) for mac with the ability to write Arabic with it ?
because my laptop is an old version its 10,5,8 , so I can’t have higher than cs3 in my laptop..
and I really need it fast as u can..
thanks ,,
No, sorry Manzo – we don’t have that, and couldn’t tell you where to find it anywhere.
We are not aware of any MENA (Middle Eastern North Africa) trial versions of Creative Suite being available in Arabic, Greek, or Hebrew languages before CS6 came out.
Brilliant! Thanks a lot for this– I was looking everywhere for CS4 trials.
For anyone else having issues downloading, make sure you follow the instructions EXACTLY.
Also, if you have issues installing, try moving the installer folder to your desktop as sometimes the installer confuses the filepaths.
If you still have issues installing, check the Adobe installer log for your specific program and check for instances of error and/or click ‘More info’ tab when the installer stops. It’s most likely a problem with access rights to reg keys.
Just something I had to go through on my new Windows 8.1 laptop… and thought I would try save someone from the frustration!
That’s great – thanks for sharing those tips Rita!
HI I have downloaded the CS Trial & it is saved as ADBEILSTCS3_WWE with no extension I have followed the instructions exactly & as it is not an exe file don’t know what to do now ??? Any suggestions ??
Hi Angela, for the solution to that issue, please see the second half of this previous comment and you’ll be fine.
The links for the windows version of Illustrator CS4 are both 64 bit, which doesn’t work on my computer. Do you know where I could find the 32bit version?
No, that’s not right Rachel – Illustrator did not become a 64-bit application until CS6.
Up through CS5.5 (and including the older versions here), Illustrator remained a 32-bit app.
trying to download ps cs4, there are two parts to this download? But once downloaded, I tried to launch the application and it said parts were missing?
Also, the notepad download, when I open it it says file is too big to show on notepad?
please help!
thanks
Hello Anya, check out this previous comment to help in that case.
Thank you for this site, it is fantastic. I am moving Acrobat 8 and CS3 from *that* old computer (patting it sitting beside me) to *this* new computer (typing at its keys now.) Both are up and running, attached to the internet. When I install on the this computer is does not print or generate documents, just happily views them, same with that old one. Is it possible for Adobe to get cranky because I have the program installed in two different machines at the same time? I mean, should I uninstall from *that* computer before installing on *this* one?
Hey Lory, you should be able to install each Adobe product on up to two computers:
And if necessary, you should also be able to transfer or migrate your license from one system to another:
However, it is not at all certain that software from 2006 or 2007 will even work on new machines, it is definitely not supported:
Can anyone help this gal … I’m desperate! I tried downloading CS3 Master Creative Suite from Adobe and I always got a 404 error page (I’m in Canada) then a lovely gentlemen sent me here and I was able to download it but when I went to install a window pops up saying it has encountered an error can’t continue, contact Adobe.
I’m desperate as I can’t work after a hard drive going and Im just trying to get back up and going. My original disks are packed in move… don’t know where they are. Can someone please advise a solution … at this point I would sign up for a trial to get back to work but what if that won’t install? PLEASE ANYONE!!!
Im on a iMac
@Charlene
Greetings Charlene, what was the exact text of the error message you received? Try copy-and-pasting that word-for-word in the comments here, or in our search box at the upper right of this page.
We’ve seen them all, so there may be a solution. Or try entering it into Google as well.
Also, did you try redownloading it to see if the same thing happens, perhaps by using a different browser, computer, or Internet connection? (Avoid Wi-Fi if you can, as it is less reliable and robust – use a cabled connection if possible.)
Hope that helps!
I got it to work … Praise The Lord!!!
Thank you for replying so quickly … but we are up and going … what a relief!!!
Great, glad to hear it Charlene – and thanks for letting us know.
Just a note in case you have the same problem. Using Chrome and the second file downloaded with a .txt extension. This was not liked by the first file and gave me an error stating that, “the package archives folder is missing.” I found out that the correct extension is ‘.7z’ and simply changed it. This works.
