Hi
After reading other people’s questions regarding new cameras having problems with RAW on older Elements, I am now wondering what to do. I have a newly-released Fujifilm X-T20 camera on order, and was about to purchase Elements 14 due to the price drop since version 15 came out. I mainly shoot jpegs, but am now worried my new camera won’t be recognised and I’ll have a problem importing my images. Does this mean I have to wait for Elements 16?
Thank you,
Pat
Hi Pat, as you mentioned, the Fujifilm X-T20 is a brand new camera, so Adobe added Camera Raw support for it in ACR 9.9 released last month.
Photoshop Elements 15 (and future versions) can use the Adobe Camera Raw 9.9 plug-in – see here for more details.
To use newer cameras with any older versions of Photoshop or PSE, you would need to consider using the DNG Converter solution instead.
Hope that helps!
