I updated my MacBook Pro to Sierra a couple weeks ago; now I can’t open my old CS3 Photoshop or its files.
If I get CC Photography Plan, will it run on Sierra? And will it open my old CS3 files and save them?
Hi Marbet, the current 2020 version of Photoshop is not supported on Sierra, but the previous release from last year will run on macOS version 10.12 (Sierra), 10.13 (High Sierra), or 10.14 (Mojave).
As a Creative Cloud subscriber, you can chose to download and run either release (2020 or CC 2019) – it’s your choice.
And yes, your older PSD files can be opened by any newer version – see:

I have the Photoshop $9.99/mo plan and would like to add Illustrator to it, but not for $20.00 a month. Is there a less expensive way to get it added to my plan?
Greetings Anthony, that’s a good question. The answer is that the Photography plan is the best deal available which is not repeated for all the other Creative Cloud apps.
In other words, you cannot match the pricing you get here for the other tools. So, the only way to add just Illustrator is via a Single-App plan, which does run around $20/month.
