I was able to download and extract the files to my computer, but when I go to install, it pulls up the installer and an alert pops up saying “Please insert Adobe CS3 Premium to continue”. What am I doing wrong??

Greetings Christina, if you happen to get an “Insert disc” (DVD / CD) message when installing a Creative Suite download, see this forum recommendation to hopefully take care of that.
Just to be more clear on the download instructions for this page.
I go to the download trial website for Acrobat XI Pro and click on download.
Do I go ahead and download it or not?
I mean the instructions seem to suggest after clicking the download to just close that window without actually downloading which seems odd but I want to follow the instructions exactly so just making sure I am understanding them correctly.
Yes Chris, you are understanding them correctly. It may seem strange but you need to follow the earlier steps to set Adobe’s session cookie on your computer, which will enable your browser to download from the direct links above.
But no, you don’t need to go through with downloading Acrobat XI Pro if you don’t want it.
And if you run into any issue when following the directions we give in the article, then try with a different browser, computer, or Internet connection.
I keep getting this error when trying to click the Photoshop CS4 or Indesign CS4 links through Chrome:

I have followed the instructions carefully. And I’m not receiving the “insert disc” warning, so thank you! However, the install still won’t work. The only thing that will download is the Adobe Acrobat. I am simply trying to reinstall the CS3 onto my new computer and it keeps saying that the “Component Install Failed”. What am I doing wrong?

Hi! I tried any of the links but it guides me to Adobe’s site which is down. Any ideas where I can download CS4? I made a roll back of my MBP from my Time Capsule and now I need to reinstall CS4.

worked! :) Thanks a lot! Only, it did not ask me to type in the codes… Is that because I had a lot of other Adobe software on it and it just was looking for the keys on my computer by itself?

Great, glad you got it going Matthias. Yes, if you’ve had the same Adobe program or part of a suite on the same system at an earlier time, then it will pick up a previously-stored serial number automatically.

I have a question, In case I will again have a problem, can I use the downloaded and stored unzipped file to restore PS again or do I need to download it any time I am in trouble?

Sure Matthias, happy to help. What you have downloaded now is the official installer for the program(s)… So no, you shouldn’t ever need to re-download, just keep that in a safe place.
I click the Download From Our Site button to re-download my CS3 suite, and it takes me to a site to “Read now your favorite books, magazines & comics for free,” and it asks me to register and give a credit card number. Is this the right place?
Also, do I use the Download from Our Site button or the Full Version button?
No, those messages aren’t from our site or from Adobe’s site… It’s possible you’re clicking on an ad instead. The CS3/CS4 download links are contained entirely within the three charts above. Make sure you read the important download instructions near the top as well.
Okay, got it, and got my CS3 reinstalled on my new computer. This site is a lifesaver!
After downloading CS4 Web Premium to a directory on the desktop, I unzip and click on the ‘installer’ icon and attempt to install. That opens the installer for Dreamweaver. The only program that will install is “Dreamweaver”. However there is a folder labeled “Adobe CS4” with files.
Is there a trick?
Hey Steve, the “set-up.exe” file is within the Adobe CS4 folder that got put your desktop… Run that executable and it should install CS4.
Ok I got CS3 Master Collection downloaded and it will bring up the extractor but as soon as I hit next it bring up a window that says, A problem occurred while extracting the archive. Please try downloading the Adobe CS3 Master Collection again. I have downloaded it 3 times now, what do I do?

So any idea of why clicking on the ‘setup’ icon doesn’t work?
The Akamai NetSession install doesn’t work. I downloaded 7Z to unzip the files. Went to the setup icon and it appears as a generic button, not something that would normally be used by adobe to indicate a setup function.
You shouldn’t actually need to do any unzipping yourself… Just download both files on Windows and then run the “File 1” .EXE that you downloaded above.
Then check your desktop for the folder that will create. The installer is inside that new folder.
I don’t have a file > 1.exe <
I downloaded the files and I have ADBESTWDCS4_LS1 (4.33GB) and ADBESTWDCS4_LS1 1200KB.
I imagine that the 1200KB is the extractor.
The 3.36GB file opens with 7Z. Is this correct? If not, how do I change the file to open with the extractor (or whatever)?
Ah, okay – it sounds like your first file (File 1 in the table above) lost its extension when downloading… In that case, see this solution.

Why does your site not work? Our CDs were actually stolen I have a legit license and just need the software. Arrgggg.

I get this error, it might be because I am behind a firewall. I am trying to download both the PC and Mac version of PS CS4.

I live in the mountains and have very slow and “Iffy” internet. (Dish internet.) My sister bought me CS3 and CS4 upgrade. I was wondering if there was a way to get/buy disks and download to my MacBook? She forwarded me the CS3 and CS4 License numbers. Thanks

Hi Lynn, lucky you living in the mountains! But the only discs you can get for Adobe creative software now is a DVD for the new CC release – the old versions they don’t carry anymore.
