I’ve been using the 30-day trial of Creative Suite 6, and I would probably hack off a limb to be able to continue the experience using Creative Cloud.
do the cloud apps open in a browser?
Thanks for your question Stephanie. No, all the regular CS6 applications are installed and running on your desktop as before, though there are some additional important cloud components… See this overview article and/or this extensive FAQ to help explain what it’s all about!
I’m a very infrequent user of Photoshop and Premiere, so it’s a toss-up to me to get the Creative Cloud or just stick with what I have. At the $30 monthly rate I would probably do it, but at the $50, probably not.
Greetings Phil, our new comparison guide may help in your decision:
Creative Cloud vs. CS6 Traditional: Which Should You Get?
I am a 48-year-old computer tech, mom. Economic upset turned my self-employed business sour. I have four wonderful boys. Two in school. Seven grandchildren. The Lord Jesus has given me the ability to learn software at an ease. I repair computers and can usually troubleshoot any hardware/software problems just as someone speaks about the situation.
I am currently needing to create income from home and was looking to your software to see if I could use this potentially for that purpose. I am self-taught in all my computer tech-ness. I am not a teacher of Adobe products, I could be considered a student, but not professionally – later would love to teach this, as I do offer one on one tutoring in software and hardware in my lacking computer business.
Throughout my years of being a techie, I have downloaded many trial versions of your applications. Awesome work Adobe!
Great Giveaway
The Creative Cloud is the perfect choice
Now I need Lightroom & Audition for personal use and Photoshop & Illustrator for professional use and there is no cost-effective solution to buy this exact combination, but the Creative Cloud has them all (and many others to choose).
Hope to win
Pfffff who wouldn’t want this awesome chance to get noticed in this field of work
Trying to build my business – but I’m stuck in CS4! I know I really need to upgrade – but profits must pay the bills now, not grow business. This would be a great boost! Thanks for the chance!
Hey there Elisha, keep in mind that current owners of CS4 or CS3 are only eligible for discounted upgrade pricing to Creative Suite 6 until the end of this year…
For moving to the Creative Cloud instead, Adobe offers a different discount deal.
This would be great to win. It would help with the freelance design and web development business I’m trying to get going.
Do you need a fast and good internet connection in order to make good use of the cloud?
Hi Anna, the Creative Suite applications don’t run over the network – but having a strong Internet connection would definitely be helpful for the storing, syncing, and sharing components of Creative Cloud.
Being a business owner, the cloud is really the way to go, with the constant updating that is done with technology, finally there is a way to efficiently keep up to date with it
I would love to win this even though I have CS6 – it would be nice to have access to the programs and docs that I don’t have with the web/design premium suite.
i’m just amazed by this tech! i wanna give it some good artistic use!!! thanks guys for the opportunity and good luck to everyone!
Can’t wait to use the creative cloud version of Adobe Creative Suite Master CS6 Collection :)
This is a great competition for a fantastic product, would love to win this! Not only will I no longer have the limitations of trial versions but I could finally start working for myself!
looks good….. debating whether to upgrade from CS5.5 Prod Prem to CS6 Same, or go for the whole banana….. decisions, decisions….. should probably get a job first, huh? ;P
Greetings Steve, it a good question that a lot of customers are asking now… Check out our point-by-point article:
Compare Adobe CS6 vs. Creative Cloud: Which is Right for You?
I’m eager to try out the cloud and to do so with Adobe Creative suite would be amazing!
Welcome Leslie, it’s actually pretty easy to try out if you want to – as Adobe offers free 30-days trials of Creative Cloud for download and install… After the month is up, you can purchase either the Cloud or the CS6 apps normally, or win here!
Either way you can keep a free level of Cloud membership indefinitely, with 2GB of storage space to sync, share, and browse your files online. Good luck!
Just got the Creative Cloud. Have been using CS3 and I cannot believe the advances in the CS6 tools!
I am so excited to try the programs that haven’t been in the suites before, too. So many programs to learn…so little time. I’m going to have some late nights! This is so exciting!
Congrats on your purchase and new software Jenny! Here are some helpful resources to easily get started with the latest tools (either in Creative Cloud or with CS6 traditionally):

This is a new world of creativity. Thank you.
I forwarded info about Creative Cloud to the decision maker here at work, and hope they go this route for me so I can stay up to date on all the Adobe products without the hassle of having to ask for the upgrade.
I checked it out on the Adobe site and have read all I could. This would be the ultimate upgrade!
Man, what I wouldn’t or shall I say, what my own personal freelance work wouldn’t give to win something as this? I am still working with Adobe CS2 because I just cannot afford to upgrade. Winning would be a God given and huge blessing for my freelance business.
Adobe is really great… I wish schools would put these on their computers >.<
I want to test Adobe Creative Cloud to see if it is good for future use as a layout designer on my school newspaper!
Would love to win this! Photoshop gives my creativity an outlet!
