I am a student and a minister I could really use this software as a means of effecting change by teach young people how to use this software to unlock the creativity in them and effect positive change through media in all of its forms!
Gradients on strokes – It is just a small variation but makes a big difference to my work :)
Yes, it’s very cool – this image was created using that new feature in Illustrator CS6:
I’m using the trial version of CS6 Photoshop Extended now and although there are a lot of new features I ABSOLUTELY LOVE about the new program, I would say I love how smooth drawing in the program is in comparison with CS5. It’s like I’m drawing on paper!!! (almost ;) CS5 had a bit of a lag time.
Also what I really love about CS6 is how the interface looks so polished, the environment of the program itself is very professional and inviting. I really hope I win because I’m no longer a student, freshly graduated so no discount for me anymore. T_T
Hi Wendy, thanks for your comments. You may not have been aware, but actually Adobe says documents dated within the last six months are considered “current” in terms of qualification for the student & teacher discounts – so you may still be eligible!
Just Love it all. The new tools and the updated tools they have, the best is the updated Content Aware Patch. I am now teaching my 14-year-old Daughter, so she can use in her Charter School. Would love to win, but if not, I will have to buy her a Student Package.
My new favorite features would have to be the new Blur Gallery.
My favorite new feature would be the new dark layout. Every other feature doesn’t matter to me as much as the technical issues which have been considerably improved. Thank you Adobe!
I love the adobe cs6 software — intricate design tools that I can impress my lecturers with stunning flash presentations, and make amazing websites with dreamweaver: fav. feature in cs6 is speedgrade — well done with video coloration. I currently have cs5.5, and cannot find a student upgrade :( — I have to pay the full $449, but don’t want to.
I can’t pick just one favorite off all those amazing new features!! But if I have to choose, I think Enhanced jQuery Mobile!
My favorite new feauture is grayscale PDF export in InDesign CS6.
The pattern tool.
My favorite is the Mercury Performance Engine – Work with speed & stability with native 64-bit support
Dockable hidden tools. It doesn’t matter. This so far outpaces my previous version!
My favorite feature is the Content aware tools
I feel a great LOVE for every part of this suite.
The opportunity to create fantastic designs and put them out in the world is bloody amazing…
@ ProDesignTools
Wow, looks like Illustrator has gotten some pretty key updates. It was never really something I used for doing a complete graphic, I would usually just use strokes for doing patterns along them and using the manipulation tools to create some nice pattern-based objects and bring them into Fireworks (like some twirly ivy or something). But with sweet features like the gradients on strokes and the example image you showed… just awesome.
Anyway thanks for the new post on your site that shows the detailed outline of new features. Like I said in previous comments I don’t think it’s fair to just point out a couple features that are great… but I also don’t want to give a cheesy answer and make a laundry list of all the new features.
From the standpoint of a CS user who has worked mainly in web and flash development, I’m really excited to see the sweeping HTML5 support Adobe has integrated across all the products. Also, the updates in Flash Builder and Flash Pro CS6 that allow you to manage your AIR SDK’s and targets (flash pro) as well as the AIR Native Extension integration support are probably what make the biggest impact on me. I am actually in the process of developing an AIR Native Extension for Box2D and so far I’m limited to using Flashdevelop for my development. It’s a great IDE for coding, but it is not even close to being a feature complete IDE like Flash Builder or Flash Pro.
Anyway so that’s the best answer I can give to “what is your favorite new feature in CS6?” Like I said there are many more awesome features to speak of but these are what stand out most to me based on my unique background.
Hey again Jesse, thanks for sharing your thoughts and good luck with your project!
My favorite new feauture is the Export as HTML5 content – in Flash CS6
InDesign Liquid Layout it is!
I am thrilled about the new Creative Suite. In particular, I am looking forward to the wide angle correction feature as well as the blur gallery. I am in the process of downloading the free trial so I can start tinkering. And hopefully I will win the contest and receive the full version!! Fingers crossed…
I am a new small business consultant working to start my own business after falling victim to the economy. The Adobe Creative Suite CS6 in comparison with CS5 has been instrumental to creating documents, ad campaigns, web graphics, and so much more. I love the fact that I can do what I need to do in less time. I am sure as I become more familiar with what this great upgrade offers, I will gain even more time!
As a small business owner, I no longer hold an 8-5 job, I find myself working 24/7, finding more time for completing tasks is crucial! It is also vital that I save every penny I can by doing things myself! Thank you!
What’s your favorite new feature in Creative Suite 6?
I have Illustrator and Photoshop CS6 and my favorite new feature is one, the dark new layout to it. Photoshop the new filters and layer panel.
But I would like to win CS6 Design & Web Premium Suite. It would really help me get started with dreams I want to accomplish.
I love CS6. I love all the new features and I like the fact how I can come to your website and test drive them. It would be a blessing if i won CS6 Design & Web Premium Suite, it really would.
– improved, intuitive interface
as well as …
– 64 bit support
I like the Content-Aware Patch, Move & Extend that is new in CS6.
As a student, minister, educator, and recent owner of my own photography business, I am excited to use and learn the new features in CS6 and other design tools.
Hope to upgrade to the best with CS6 and looking forward to using the new tools to expand my graphics output.
