    • Hi John, please make sure you are carefully following the step-by-step download instructions given in the article above (near the top of this page) and you should be fine… otherwise you will get that message.

Then if you still have any difficulties, try a different web browser, another computer, or different Internet connection… Avoid Wi-Fi as it can be slow and/or unreliable; you are better off using a fast wired connection (with a cable).

Lastly, we put together this list of download tips you can go through if you get stuck.

    • Hey Lo, if you have a valid purchased license key for the CS6 software then these free trial downloads should work for you (follow the instructions above) – just enter your serial number after installing the product you have.

  1. Thanks a million for the great instructions and the many links! Even with a business account it can be awfully difficult to find the product and version of any given product through their special licensing portal and this makes it SOOOO much cleaner and easier.

Also, thanks for being so attentive to the commenters here and being so helpful in your responses!

  2. I went to the page to download Adobe Acrobat XI trial, but when I click Download Now, nothing pops up allowing me to download the Adobe Download Assistant. How do I proceed so that I can get the download assistant to set the trials cookie and then download the trial versions of the programs using the links on this page?

    • Hello Seth, you definitely do not need to download or use the Adobe Download Assistant – one major advantage of these CS6 direct links is you can easily download the offline installers directly in your browser without using the ADA at all…

Just make sure to carefully follow the instructions given above, including cancelling the download or installation of the Adobe Download Assistant if it prompts you (step #3).

Adobe’s proper session cookie will be set on your computer by just following those directions, enabling you to use any/all of the direct links here.

  3. Trying to download the CS6 Design & Web Premium links above leads to this error:

    Access Denied
You don’t have permission to access “…/AdobeProducts/DSST/CS6/win32/DesignWebPremium_CS6_LS16.exe” on this server.
    Reference #18.5f8f1ab8.1380032733.17f48bd4

Right-clicking and trying to “save as” also does not work.

  4. Hey,

I recently obtained my student version of the CS6 Master Suite and could not find the download anywhere from Adobe’s site, which might I add is kind of frustrating.

I came across your post from another website and would just like to shout out a thanks for putting this list together!

  5. Hello…I have downloaded both files for Photoshop CS6,put them together in a folder and it still doesn’t work. It says that I have missing parts?

  6. Thanks, I got the CS6 Master Collection to download, however when I was trying to open the installer I got an error message saying that the “Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem.”

  7. I am stumped even by the first step which says Click HERE and does not take me to a Download Now button. Rather I get to Acrobat XI Pro, which will download, but then what? Why do I need that? What do I do with it? No Adobe sign in occurs as in #2, No windows to close or cancel out occurs as in #3.

    • No, you don’t need Acrobat XI separately – but you do need to visit that page to set Adobe’s session cookie on your browser to enable the direct download links here. If you don’t do that then you will get an error message when clicking these links.

There is indeed a “Download Now” button at the bottom of that Acrobat trial page. When you click that button it will attempt to download the “Adobe Download Assistant.” Step #3 in the instructions says to cancel that, because you don’t need or use that here.

Once you follow the instructions carefully and complete the steps, you will then be able to click on and download any of the CS6 direct links in the chart above, without the Adobe Download Assistant/Manager.

  8. @ ProDesignTools

It still will not load – and I have been trying since I first posted this – it sends it to a page that is “waiting” to be downloaded.

I even updated my adobe… and added adobe reader XI and it didn’t help.. is there another program I can add that will open this file?

  9. The download is not working for Photoshop. The first line that everyone’s talking about. I’ve followed all the steps, did not download the ADA, etc. The two files are saved in my Downloads folder. I click on the .exe file, says what everyone else is saying: “The file archive” part is missing, you need all parts in the same folder, etc.

    • OK, we just tested that exact download (Photoshop CS6 for Windows) and everything works beautifully here – the files download, extract, and install with no problem. Everything is fine with Adobe’s servers.

So there’s something else that you’re running into… Perhaps your download stopped early, or dropped a file extension (.exe or .7z). Maybe you’re using Wi-Fi and the data was corrupted. Possibly you don’t have both files in the same Windows directory when you run the executable. Those are the most likely.

  10. You guys are awesome (: Instructions were so easy to understand too. However it doesn’t pop up to sign in any more. So you might have to sign in manually, and then close the browser tab and try the direct links – it works like a charm :P

  11. I’m trying to download a trial version of InDesign CS6 to my Mac, and I’ve tried directly from Adobe’s site (which shows two files for English, not just one) and here. Files have downloaded instantaneously, which seems… wrong. Here’s what I’ve gotten:

    InDesign_8_LS16.dmg
    InDesignFamily_8_Content_ALL.dmg

.dmg files are disc images (yes?), and they auto-open to files ending .dmg.part, a few of them with additional numbers at the end (e.g., .dmg.part 13-49-44). But… I can’t open the .part files.

    What am I missing? Thanks.

  12. Am now downloading via Safari, which is showing me the progress of the download rather than the dubiously instantaneous Firefox process — much more promising! I may have solved my own problem. :-)

  13. I joined the Creative Cloud hoping I would be able to pay monthly and complete CS6, Illustrator and 2 other courses I am enrolled in online with Photo Art Studios out of Montreal Canada. Once started I have days to complete each course, test and send results to Adobe for certification. I finished the first course with time running out, but have to practice with the software. Can I purchase CS6 Extended version as a student and if so, will I be blocked from downloading? I am tempted to continue with trials to complete the courses.

Regarding CC, I assumed I would be able to pay $30 a month for full access to the CS6 Suite, am I mistaken?

  15. Why is it that the file size of a separately downloaded program is bigger than what it shown during a Master Collection installation? How can Illustrator for example only take 328 MB+326 MB but the single download is 1.8 GB?

    Reply
    • It’s a good question. The answer is because much of it is shared libraries and other components like multiple language packs, which are only needed once for an entire suite but must also be included separately for each available standalone application… This requirement grows the size of each point product download, because the customer may only install just one application.
