Okay, I was just curious because the “.exe” photoshop downloaded right away but the “.zip” photoshop file is looking like its gonna take around 2 hours. Thanks for the quick reply though, have a nice day!
Yes, on Windows if there are two files, the .exe is quite small whereas the .7z file is large.
I downloaded the file for Edge Animate, extracted, but I do not see a install icon or file? It extracted a bunch of files, but nothing like setup, etc. Am I missing something? There is only “File 1” for download in the above chart list. Thank you
Hi James, yes – there is only one file for the permanently free/full version 1.5 of Edge Animate above… But for the answer to your first question on how to install it, please see this previous comment and reply to Susan.

OK, I’ve tried this again. Downloaded the LS16, which is supposed to be en_US only. Unpacked the files and payloads folder, there are many subfolders with _mul at the end of the name. Then started the installer (setup.exe), which is German (!) and now I got English and some asian as language. Don’t know what happened. Now it seems OK.

Yes Terri, please make sure you carefully follow all steps of the download instructions given in the article above (near the top of this page) and you should be fine… otherwise you will get that exact message.
Then if you still have any difficulties, try a different web browser, computer, or Internet connection… Avoid Wi-Fi as it can be slow and unreliable; these are large files so use a fast wired connection (with a cable) instead.
Finally, we put together a list of suggestions if you get stuck.
Hopefully that will take care of it for you, if not then just post back.

Yes, it will say that if you don’t follow the download instructions.

I am getting the following message when I try to open the cs6 file ‘adobe reader could not open 13_ls16_1x because it is not a supported file type or the file has been damaged’…

Sorry, not sure at all about that one Rahwa… Adobe Reader has nothing at all to do with any of these files, and definitely should not be opening them since there are no PDFs involved.
I downloaded both files for CS6 but i couldn’t be able to insall it as I double click the open button it gives me an option to open it through internet explorer, adobe….and I tried all of them but it won’t let me open it to install it. Please help I’ve been working on this for the last three days
Ah, OK – it sounds like one of your downloads lost its file extension and your computer doesn’t know how to open it… And you must have tried the Adobe Reader before. Yikes.
OK, in that case, here is what to do.

I cannot get adobe Photoshop CS6 elements to open at all? How can I ever start training if the downloads won’t open?

What problem are you having specifically Linda? What is the exact error message you’re getting? Are you carefully following the download directions?

This is what I get when I try to run the download. “This application cannot be installed because this installer has been mis-configured. Please contact the application author for assistance.”

Will this software download when I sign up for this, or do you send a DVD? Is the $9.99 per month the only payment or is there a sign up fee?
Hello Jan – for CS6, Adobe discontinued boxes and DVD’s in May… Most customers are now downloading CS6 or CC instead – however you can still order a Creative Cloud disc with all the CC apps, if you need it.
The new Adobe offer is called the Photoshop Photography Program and includes the full Photoshop CC plus Lightroom 5 (and more) for $9.99 a month… There is no sign-up fee or upfront cost, in fact no other charges at all. For more details see the previous comment.
You only forgot the fact that your rented software will stop working once you have problems paying the $9.99 every month. This may not be due to insufficient funds, but because of simple problems with your credit card which can’t be solved that fast sometimes.
Well if the software were not subscription-based, it could never be offered so inexpensively as it is now… This is an opportunity for many many customers who could not otherwise afford it.
In case of non-payment of any CC membership, Adobe gives a 21-day grace period while the products installed on your system continue to work and run fine.
