Hello, I seem to have a problem. I have downloaded nearly all of the trials without problem, but yesterday and today I tried to download Illustrator CS6 and the download speed is extremely slow (20kb/s). I tried with trials that I had previously downloaded at (300kb/s) but they all seem to have slowed down as well (20kb/s).
So I followed all instructions properly, meet all system requirements and signed into Adobe when I try to download/install files this is the error code popping up:
Access Denied
You don’t have permission to access “…/AdobeProducts/PHSP/13/osx10/Photoshop_13_LS16.dmg” on this server.

What to do????
why is download soooo slow
@ susan
How did you download Master Collection again?
All these CS6 direct links are still working fine on our end, and with good speed. They are large files though, so can take some time to download, depending on your connection.
Generally, if you carefully follow the step-by-step download instructions given in the article above then you should be fine and won’t have any problems… Usually people get ‘access denied’ if they don’t follow those directions.
Then if you still have any difficulties, try a different web browser, computer, or Internet connection (avoid Wi-Fi as it can be slow and unreliable). We’ve also put together a list of download tips, if you get stuck.
I downloaded Adobe Master Collection CS6 – it took 16 hours. I double-clicked on the .dmg icon in the downloads folder . . . now it says “Warning: The following disk images couldn’t be opened: MasterCollection_CS6_not recognised. How can I open this and get CS6 Master Collection please?
Sorry Dewi, a “dmg not recognized” message typically means an incomplete or corrupted download… see this previous comment.
If it took 16 hours, you’ve got to find a faster and more reliable Internet connection somehow or some way, and definitely not use Wi-Fi (which is slow and unrobust).
You could also use a download manager (of your own) like IDM to try and speed the process.
Unable to dowload any file from your site. This is the message I get.

I had download problems – authorisation issues, then I took time to read the instructions! Then it was easy! Thank you!
I’m getting Access Denied:

Not sure if you deleted my previous comment or not, but I’ve left it a day and it’s still saying access denied.
Hey Jose & George,
Please see our first reply above on this page (scroll up) for what you need to do to take care of that – thanks.
Seems I downloaded only 7z files, no exe files, so I cannot open and install the CS6 file that I saved. What do I do?
File 1 should definitely be an .EXE executable file and if it’s not then your browser must have dropped the extension, which can happen sometimes – especially if you’re using Internet Explorer.
If so, just rename that first file to add back the “.EXE” at the end, and then you can open/run it.
Which one of the above links should I be using to download Lightroom 4?
Hi Randy, Lightroom is not on this page because it is not part of Creative Suite, although now it is part of Creative Cloud…
So take your pick – here’s the new LR5 standalone:
Adobe Lightroom 5 Direct Download Links
or the older LR4:
Adobe Lightroom 4 Direct Download Links
or get LR5 included as part of CC:
Adobe Creative Cloud Direct Download Links
@ProDesignTools
Thank you for clearing that up for me as this page was sent to me in an email after I purchased Lightroom 4, explaining that I had to follow the download steps to the letter. But luckily (tongue in cheek), after 3 days of frustration trying to get an answer from Adobe customer service, I was finally sent a link that worked.

Hello again Mark, you’ve been here before, haven’t you? Maybe you forgot to follow the download directions this time?
This is embarrasing. I’ve got a 100 MBit line and the trials come down with ~0,1MB/s. Usually, 879MB for Indesign is a matter of 2 minutes, but here it says like 1:30h
What do you consider “a good speed”?
Not sure why you’re having difficulties Scrooby… We’ve got 70 Mbits here and most of these tools download in minutes, no problems at all.
Your IP address says you’re in Europe, so network latency there may slow you down a bit, but shouldn’t account for all of that… Try another browser, computer, or Internet connection (not Wi-Fi).
@ProDesignTools
I followed your guide and yet I’m still getting access denied. I’m starting to get a feeling that you don’t know how to troubleshoot this issue.
Wow George, after four years of running this site for the benefit of our readers and answering thousands of comments & questions, that’s very kind of you to say.
See this previous list of suggestions if you have further issues.
@George
Many here thought they’ve thoroughly read the instructions and should encounter no DL problems…
Problem is, they did NOT actually set the session cookie properly and ran into the brick wall, and very likely you’re one of them.
@malchick 743
Thanks for your support Malchick… We once exchanged 10 comments with a guy who insisted he was logged in and following all the instructions, tried different browsers and computers etc., but never once clicked through on Step 1 to set Adobe’s session cookie that is absolutely required to enable access and avoid that ‘denied’ message.
If we had a nickel for every time… :)
Hey guys, first thank you for your effort to keep this going. I also tried to download that, I have a valid license key but need to reinstall my Mac, and now I am missing the installation software. I was following all the steps including cleaning the cache, restarts, waiting and so on… but unfortunately absolutely no results.
When did you check the downloads the last time? Can it be that Adobe meanwhile simply removed the download files? Think it can be important for your page as well to avoid expired information?
Regards, Sandra
@ProDesignTools
Sorry, it’s just a little annoying. I guess you guys don’t have access to do anything on the Adobe side.
If it helps, I get access denied on CS5.5 and Creative Cloud. I did follow all your steps, still getting problems.
Ok guys, like always in life, after trying and hassling I almost gave up, complained and finally gave it a last try.
I installed Google Chrome, repeated all the steps in Chrome and finally it’s downloading something which looks pretty much like the file I need. :) The connection is slow but I am patient and will let you know if it finally worked.
regards
Sandra
I am trying to download photoshop cs6 but it keeps redirecting me to photoshop cc…
Is the cs6 version still available for free trial period via downloading??
Yes, definitely Shekia – last year’s CS6 release is still available for a free trial download here, as well as being sold and supported by Adobe…
At the risk of beating a dead horse, please make sure you very carefully follow the step-by-step download directions given near the top of this page for the direct links to work, and give you CS6.
Otherwise, you’ll get Adobe CC instead – not that that’s a bad thing, since CC is a better version anyway.
I followed all instructions but after I downloaded it, there’s an error saying that it has missing parts. Help, it’s for my projects please.
On Windows, make sure you download both files (File 1 and File 2) in their entirety, put them in the same folder on your computer, and then run (double-click) File 1, which should be a executable (.EXE) file.
Then look for a new Adobe folder on your Desktop and run the set-up.exe installer in there to install the program.
Hi guys,
Finally I was able to download the Master Collection for Mac.
IMPORTANT: Please make sure you are logged in and then download whatever you need.
I am facing another issue so far. By starting the installation it opened the CS6 Setup file. After that it asked me whether to run the purchased or trial version. After clicking purchased version and filling in my serial key it started the installation and – after 2% it said: “Cancelled due to system requirements.”
I checked them – they are fine. Rebooted – now it says “Error 15” (I am not sure if this is the right translation – I’m German :) )
Any further tips for me?
regards Sandra
Glad to hear you got it successfully downloaded Sandra. For any message(s) you are getting, the best thing to do to find a solution is to search for the exact text (in quotation marks) in the original language on Google…
It’s more than likely that someone else has had the same issue and already posted and solved it somewhere else, like on the Adobe Support Pages.
We have downloaded the free trial of Adobe Photoshop CS6 (Extended) above and installed it on a Windows PC. We wish to buy the license of Adobe Photoshop CS6 Standard, so how to convert from the Photoshop CS6 Extended version to become Adobe Photoshop Standard, without re-installation ?
That’s a good question Antoni, and the answer is that when you buy CS6 you will receive a serial number that will be for the version of Photoshop you want…
When you enter that license key into the trial you installed on your computer, then the software will automatically detect whether it’s the Standard or Extended version of Photoshop that you bought, and it will turn off the Extended features if you did not purchase them. There is never any need for reinstallation of the product.
Hi there,
I’ve been trying to download a trial of Photoshop for 3 days..
If you could help that would be great, I’m getting very close to my deadline!
(my laptop died and I’m using a spare one to finish my work)
I have icons suggesting that it has downloaded correctly, but when I try to open Ps I get a window asking if I want to ‘License this Software’ or ‘Continue Trial’ (the Continue Trial option is grey & can’t be selected. I can follow the link to ‘Join now’ but again the Free option is greyed out and not available.
Is there a something I’m missing? Thanks!
Specifics:
* Windows 7, Firefox,
* Downloaded Photoshop CS6 from here (Photoshop_13_LS16.exe & Photoshop_13_LS16.7z)
Hey there Cara, it sounds to us from what you describe that the spare laptop you are using has probably already run the free CS6 trial at some point in its history…
That is the most likely explanation – because no matter what you do, the option to try the software out for free is no longer available… each system can only run it once.
So really your best option all around is to move on from CS6 and download the Photoshop CC free trial instead, and use that for the time being until you can get your machines sorted out.
Everyone gets a brand-new 30-day free trial period with the new CC release, regardless of whether you (or anyone) has tried CS6 on the same computer at an earlier time.
Adobe allows that renewal so that everyone has a chance to try out the hundreds of new features they put in Creative Cloud vs. last year’s CS6 version.
Also of course they would like you to consider subscribing to it after the trial period is finished, even if only on a monthly basis.
And lastly, using our “CC” Direct Links you don’t even have join or be a member of the Creative Cloud to instantly get the software you want to download and try.
Hope that helps you get back going again!
