Is there any news regarding a new major release of Adobe Acrobat?
I thought Adobe have an two year release cycle of Adobe Acrobat..
Since 2012 there is no new version..

Yes, you should be able to do that – here is what Adobe says about it (click under “CS6”):

Note one key difference as mentioned in that guide is that with CS6 you cannot use the software on two machines at the same time, whereas with the newer CC release, you can.
Adobe CC can also be installed and run on both Windows and Mac OS simultaneously if needed or desired.

I purchased my computer back in 2010-2011. It came with adobe photoshop elements 8. I also had other adobe programs like for pdfs.
I now am getting a 150:30 error every time I try to start photoshop. I have tried the adobe photoshop licensing fix applications, and then restarted my computer and I am still having this issue.
Please help, I love my photoshop.
Hey there Marc – to hopefully fix that 150:30 licensing problem, try one or the other of these two solutions from Adobe:
Download and Run the Adobe Licensing Repair Tool
How to fix the Adobe software error “Licensing for this product has stopped working”: on Windows or on Mac OS.
And if you are moving or reinstalling programs, please ensure they are first deactivated and fully removed before proceeding with reinstallation… Then make sure they are installed properly from the original media/downloads or else the licensing won’t work… Downloads are here.
I have Acrobat. My disk crashed and I have to reinstall. Serial number is xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx.
I seem also to have Acrobat yyyy-yyyy-yyyy-yyyy-yyyy-yyyy.
How do I do this??????

Okay I signed up for an adobe account and accidentally put in 2014 as date of birth and now it’s saying access denied.
I am trying to install adobe elements 10 on my mac. I purchased this program for my HP and now have upgraded to mac, but it does not have a cd slot… Could I please get help on how to do this? Thanks.

Hi Aaron, thanks for your question. We strongly recommend against trying to find and buy some old version of Adobe tools (not purchased from Adobe) – it’s likely to be bogus so highly risky…
Your best bet for safe and legitimate software is either CS6 from 2012 – or the latest/greatest release, CC 2014. Adobe offers both of these direct.
You can download and run a free trial of either release on your computer for up to 60 days by following the guide we included in the previous comment above.

What type of system are you using? What exact problem or error message are you getting?
Did you try with the Photoshop direct download links?
And did you try downloading with a different web browser or another computer?

My client is interested in upgrading our Dreamweaver from CS 4.0 to a newer version, but more importantly, the version that is not using Creative Cloud, since they do not want the data to be stored elsewhere.

Your question is very similar to another we received recently. The problem is the Creative Cloud is simply not what you think it is… Please read our earlier reply to find out why, and get the right answer to your question.

Greetings Fred, a quick scan of the specs you included tells me that you should be able to run CS6 – but you should double-check against Adobe’s complete official CS6 system requirements to be sure…
Also, if you’re going to buy the CS6 education edition then make sure you get it direct from Adobe as many other “resellers” these days are not legitimate.
You can still get it (any CS6 student/teacher suite) direct from Adobe here.

I am a bit confused. I was given a one year student and teacher creative cloud subscription. When my year is up, do you know if there is a way I can just add a new license key to my subscription for another year? I can obtain the keys really inexpensively compared to paying $30 per month. I appreciate any help with this!
No Hugh, that’s not how it works. All you do is renew your annual license with Adobe and then they extend the subscription linked to your Adobe ID account. That activates the CC tools and services for another 12 months, and there isn’t any adding of a serial number or license key.
If by your last sentence, you’re thinking of trying to “buy Adobe software cheap” somehow, then that’s a bad idea and we strongly advise against it!

How do I access photoshop without connecting to the internet? I edit my pictures while I’m at work, and we are not able to connect to the internet. I’m not able to open Adobe Creative Cloud without internet connection. Is there another way to open photoshop with no internet connection? Thank you.
Hello Syn, thanks for your question. It is a frequent myth that Creative Cloud needs a constant Internet connection in order to work.
You just need to connect at least once every 4 months in order to revalidate the subscription on your machine (i.e., to make sure it has been paid), and then you can continue working offline with the CC software as before.

It sounds like you need Adobe Acrobat (either Pro or Standard), which will easily merge/combine those two file formats and produce a new PDF document.

I was wanting to see about getting a quote on getting photoshop on about 20-25 machines. I would like to teach a class on how to use photoshop. The only problem is is that we cannot use any cloud service or internet in general on the machines they will be going on due to the security factors of the prison. I want to get a baseline price before I submit a proposal to my superiors.

Hi Heather, it sounds like what you need is the Enterprise edition of Creative Cloud. Adobe no longer sells CS6 for volume purchases, they now offer CC instead.
To our knowledge, the Creative Cloud for Enterprise offering is the only one which will work with offline computers. It is possible to purchase an ETLA (Enterprise Term License Agreement) that supports workflows where the computers are not connected to the Internet. For details, see:

Normally it can take several hours for their system to finalize your order and process your payment, but if you still haven’t gotten anything by the end of the day, then please let us know.

Sure Michelle, thanks for the update. Since you paid with PayPal, you should already see the receipt for the transaction on the PayPal website. PayPal payments do take a little longer to process, so it should only be a matter of time before you receive the final confirmation from Adobe.
In the meantime, feel free to download the free CC trials and free Adobe books, and get started right away. You’ll be able to activate the trial software without reinstalling it once your payment is approved.

Hmm, that’s odd. We would suggest one or more of these four options:
1. Check your bulk/junk mail or spam folder to make sure nothing important from Adobe or PayPal wound up in there.
2. Make sure your PayPal address is confirmed. This is important for sellers to be able to validate the payments you make.
3. Follow the same steps as before to get the bundle discount, but this time try another form of payment (such as a credit or debit card).
4. Contact Adobe directly (via live online chat is usually fastest/easiest) to see if they have any record or receipt of your order or payment attempts.

I’ve been having issues when trying to download the adobe CS5 trials. I get the “access denied” page when clicking on the files.
I’m not doing anything different. I’ve followed the steps in the past when downloading these files, I had no issues then.
Have there been any changes to Adobe’s site that could be causing issues? I realize that issues like this usually come from user error but I’m sure that I’ve followed the directions correctly and I’m logged onto Adobe’s site now.

Yes Dan – in fact, you’re right that Adobe did make some changes to their website last week, so we had to tweak all the direct download link instructions so that they would still work…
Try following the directions again from the top very carefully, and the direct links should download. If still no luck, try using a different browser or computer – while still sticking to those same instructions.
