Hi ProDesignTools and all! Thank you for this wonderful site!
Have 3 questions and would be grateful for any help
1. Acrobat trial (two-part) above: Upon extracting I get a folder containing no Setup.exe (unlike with all other apps). I have to go looking down subfolders to find an installer “Acro.exe” or something. I run this and it installs (though unsure if properly). This can’t be right. Where is the Setup? note: extracting on 7 or XP yields same results.
2. Why are there different files here for Acrobat in Creative Cloud compared to the same Acrobat (XI) that’s not found under CC? It is one file. But when under CC, it’s two files. Lightroom 5 is also larger under CC than where found on its own (the standalone LR5). What’s the difference?
3. Here is one I have been wanting to inquire about forever, but never got around… Is it possible that someone could have the download link for the Photoshop Elements 6 free trial ??
Thanks very much for any help!
Hey Tim, those are great questions, and we’d be happy to answer them for you. Yes, Acrobat does work a little differently from the rest of the CC… The reason is because it comes from a different development arm of the company, which has its own packaging and release schedule.
1. Acrobat XI Pro’s installation file that you need to start on Windows is called “AcroPro.msi” – and you’ll find it within the new folder “Adobe CS7\payloads\AcrobatProfessional11.0-mul\” that’s created on your Desktop after you download & run the .exe file here.
2. Indeed, the versions of Acrobat and Lightroom for Creative Cloud are slightly different because they have different handling of the licensing than the individual, standalone versions. However, the features and functionality are absolutely identical in both releases – you get the same actual product.
3. No sorry, we have a lot of direct links for Adobe software, but Elements 6 is too old for us to have record of here. You might possibly find something on the Adobe FTP server for old versions, but it’s really hit-or-miss and for expert users only.
Hope that helps! If you have any further questions, feel free to post back.
Perfect, thanks very much for your help!
Could you guess or would you know the name of the Photoshop Elements 6 trial download file? I assume it is just a single file (as with pse7)
Also I will be installing a few CC apps on a machine that has not seen the internet like a puddle in a cave has not seen the sunlight. I know that I can call Adobe to activate these apps offline, without the internet. My question is this: With this kind of activation (offline activation), do I have to keep activating every 30 or 99 days? (just as when activating the normal way, with the net) ?
Thanks again PRO Design!
Well, we just checked for you Tim, and it doesn’t look there are old versions of Elements on that server – sorry about that.
Regarding your second question, here is the answer.
If there’s anything else we can help out with, just let us know!
thanks prodesign
this site is a fantastic resource for adobe products. it’s like an adobe candy shop.
links to apps. links to answers. links everywhere raining, makes everything connected and complete (and quick). there is this post board too (direct responses in direct time). everything is direct. not just the trials (which is why i came here). blog posts are colorful displays of the very inquires we tend to have.
this site is a job done adobe well.
Thanks so much Tim, those are very kind words!
Very glad you’ve gotten a lot out of the site (that’s why we do it :), and please stop back and visit again anytime.
hi ProDesignTools,
thanks for the direct download. i have finished the download for premiere above but i have not yet installed it on my computer because i am not sure that file is well. it was downloaded with frequent resume/pause.
can you show me the checksum for “premiere for windows file” such as md5 or sha-1 etc.?
Thanks very much for any help.
i am sorry for my bad English.
OK, here’s the MD5 checksum for that file above… Just compare against this and make sure the file you downloaded matches the appropriate value:
PremierePro_7_LS20.7z (Premiere Pro Trial for Windows, English):
Size: 1,081,427,956 bytes
MD5: 6C4C3238A635C6092A3A7D530619C8D9
If the numbers don’t match, then your system is not downloading the files intact.
Hi,
I was trying to download an Adobe CC trial, but I keep getting Access Denied, what do I do?
Thanks,
Taylor
Hello Taylor, make sure you are carefully following the download instructions given in the article above, near the top of this page… Those are essential for the CC direct links to work, otherwise you will get that exact message.
Then if you’re still having any issues, try a different web browser, computer, or (wired) Internet connection… Avoid wireless because most of these are large files, and Wi-Fi can be slower and unreliable.
Finally, check out our complete list of suggestions if you are really stuck.
Hi Prodesigntools,
I tried to download premier pro CC today. But the exe and 7zip files couldn’t be downloaded. Can you please check.
Thx,
Dian
Opps..sorry I didn’t follow the instructions
Hi there,
Great site!!! Do you perhaps also have the links to the latest versions of these files? For exemple here you have Photoshop 14.0, but 14.1.2 is already out.
Thank you!
Welcome Bogdan, thanks for your kind words. Actually it doesn’t quite work that way with Adobe… See the complete explanation here.
I am looking to reinstall photoshop cs5 on a school computer lab machine that had gotten a virus and got re-ghosted without cs5. I had the installer backed up on a server that crashed and died on October 5. I cannot find the installer for cs5 anywhere on this site. We have a site license so all I need is the installer!
Yes, just check our Adobe software direct links – old versions can be downloaded by scrolling down the page there.
I looked all over that page before posting, but only see downloads for all new products and trials, but no PS CS5. Am I missing something? If the download is there, it is very well hidden :-( Still in need of help, please…
Just click that link once and scroll down to find the title for the release you’re looking for – then click that title to get to a new page with the downloads.
@ProDesignTools
I have CC membership but use this site to obtain and install the Adobe applications because I have never been able to install the Adobe CC Desktop app successfully.
During the Acrobat installation process I am asked to install a trial version or provide a serial number. If I choose trial version, will I be able to continue to use Acrobat under my CC license?
Hey Tim, if you downloaded and installed the Acrobat Pro application above (from this page), then yes it will be included automatically in your CC membership when you sign in…
The version linked above is the official Creative Cloud release, which is a different download and version from the standalone Acrobat XI Pro. The functionality and features are identical though in both releases.
Clicking on the Photoshop CS5 link brings you to CS6.
No, not if you carefully follow the important download instructions on each page… they’re essential.
I changed browsers to make sure everything was set fresh – enabled pop-ups, accepting cookies – I clicked on the link that said to “click <> to visit this page.” That led me to install the Adobe Download Assistant, I signed in, then after installing and opening the app, it gave me a very small selection of apps to choose from, and none of them was PS CS5. I tried the direct links again and started going around in circles… I guess at this point I should just call, unless there’s anything else I can try – thank you very much for your help.
You simply have follow the instructions, can’t say that any more plainly. It sounds like you missed Step 3, which is to cancel any downloads that may have started earlier, like the Adobe Download Assistant… You don’t want or need that! Try again and read attentively.
Pls check above link, it’s showing like this:
Access Denied
You don’t have permission to access “…/AdobeProducts/PHSP/14/win32/Photoshop_14_LS20.exe” on this server.

Yes, that’s the exact message that will come up if the important download directions in the article aren’t followed carefully.
I dont get this: In the beginning when I just start any download, the rate is like 1.5mb/s, which is my usual download rate, but after about one minute the rate drops under 200kb/s.
Same happens with CS6 files.
any ideas?
No, sorry – just tested it on our end and the speed was a steady ~1.0 MB/second here via the Google Chrome browser and a wired connection, and the 1 GB file downloaded in about 18 minutes. Right now at 1pm is peak traffic so speeds should be more consistently higher later during off-peak times.
Thanks for your quick reply!
However, I still could not find a solution for that. But I’m sure it’s not a connection problem on my part. I could even download a game on steam with over 1 Mb/sec at the same time.
The curious thing is, when I pause the adobe download and restart again, the rate climbs up to about 500 kb/sec and than nearly instantly drops again. Using firefox right now, going to test it with google chrome later.
Did they just kill this access? I am getting Access Denied errors. :-(
No, everything still works fine… you just have to read the instructions.
I did all the instructions but, it still says The file archive part of adobe photoshop cc is missing. Please download all parts.
;-;
Hi Kumiko, you need two files for downloading and installing Photoshop on Windows – they are both in the table above, and make sure to put them in the same folder on your computer.
Both must download completely and in their entirety, so make sure you have a strong and fast Internet connection – wired is much better and more reliable than wireless. It’s possible you got an incomplete or corrupt download.
It may also have been that your browser dropped the filename extension(s) for one of the files you downloaded – if you have two files, then there will be one .EXE and also one .7Z file. So if an extension is missing, then just rename the file to add it back.
If there’s just a single file for the product, then it should be an .EXE file on Windows, or a .DMG file on Mac OS.
Finally, if you continue to have difficulties, try a different browser or computer.
CC it’s CS6?
No, CC was released in June and is the next version following last year’s CS6… There is no CS7. Read the announcement and explanation here.
Regarding the creative applications themselves, there are lots of differences and many new features in CC vs. CS6.
hi…
i have downloaded Photoshop CC, before installing it i want to check that this file is good with checksum…
so can you give me the checksum for this software…?
Thanks for the direct link adobe trial…
Sure, here are the MD5 checksums for Photoshop CC on both platforms:
Windows – filename Photoshop_14_LS20.7z: E0854FA8CD9F43344B9F9A2C2E58BD41
Mac OS – filename Photoshop_14_LS20.dmg: 6D96FD7307AC3E6860FBB8B59A5D1DF3
Hi! I’m running a Windows system now, but am considering moving to a Mac in a few months. If I pay for Photoshop CC will I be able to change versions with a new computer?
Yes, definitely Em. With CS6 you couldn’t do that – but now with the new CC version you can run the apps on up to two computers and they can be both Windows and Mac OS.
It’s also much easier to move a CC installation between two different machines when you need to.
Hope that fully answers your questions, if not then just post back!
@ProDesignTools looks like the dvd option is no longer available

No sorry, you received incorrect information… Adobe’s offline Creative Cloud discs are definitely still available to be shipped.
See here for more details on how to get one if you need it.
#TipOfDay:
Use Free Download Manager + Internet Explorer. ;D
Hi there,
Great site!
Thank you!
The link for Photoshop CC is broken. It shows that I am not authorized to view the site.
Hey Ralph, the CC links all work fine – you just have to carefully follow the download instructions above.
